Hey brain, I have a crazy proposition for you. Hear me out—how about we don’t go into flight or fight every single time we play a fun game with our friends? Hm? Ever think about that?
Will you be seeing red after taking this quiz?
I can only read “dogs” and only see anything in one other. I see nothing in any other.
8/10 but fuck, OW.
8/10 also!
Me in the theatre watching the supposedly funny movie with the cgi sheep
It was NOT marketed well.
GREAT movie!
Don't get me wrong.
It had a great animation with the sheep, great voice acting, silly yet compelling characters, good amount of laughs to balance out the murder-mystery and other serious subjects...
But I was NOT prepared to feel this emotionally heavy after this movie.
I just watched it on Amazon Prime and I loved it, but I sincerely feel bad for any young/sensitive/unprepared individuals who were expecting a silly murder-mystery with sheep. Which it is... But JEEZ.
do not go gentle into that good night
be a bit of a bitch about it
can't in good conscience leave this out
New RenFest socks! Last year, I discovered the socks that worked the best with my Sandlar boots were the ones I knit myself. So I had to make another pair! These are in Court Reveler colors, featuring a stripe of the hand-died Court Reveler colorway by Goldfish Love Fibers.
“Subverting” Catholic art? Oh, okay. I see, you think this has nothing to do with you. You log onto the internet and you post about how “Wound of Christ” from Psalter and Prayer Book of Bonne de Luxembourg, attributed to Jean le Noir, c.1349, for instance, looks like a vulva because you're trying to tell the world that you enjoy Catholic art and imagery in an alternative, queer, risqué way that challenges Christian beliefs. But what you don't know is that that stigma isn’t just a vulva. It's not just a mandorla. It's not just yonic. It's actually intentionally erotic. And you're also blithely unaware of the fact that around 1297, Saint Angela of Foligno experienced a vision of Christ himself, who called her to put her mouth to the wound in his side and lick the freshly flowing blood. And then I think it was Saint Catherine of Siena who drank blood and a clear liquid from the wound before receiving a ring made from Christ’s foreskin? And then graphically erotic encounters with the side wound of Christ quickly showed up in the writings of eight different mystics. And then the yonic interpretation of the stigmata filtered down through the illuminated manuscripts and then trickled on down into some pseudo-intellectual corner of the internet…where you, no doubt, fished it out of some Pinterest board. However, that interpretation represents hundreds of years and countless visions of religious ecstasy. And it's sort of comical how you think that you've come up with an idea that exempts you from Christian theology when, in fact…you're posting an image that was sexualized for you by the very Medieval saints you think you’re so different than…from “subverted” Catholic art.

fyi things like insulin, hearing aids, wheelchairs, glasses costing money at all is a form of structural ableism
disabled people should not have to pay to live their lives like everyone else. and in the case of insulin, disabled people should not have to pay to Not Fucking Die
i need feminism because when jesus does a magic trick it’s a goddamn miracle but when a woman does a magic trick she gets burned at the stake
fabulous
i mean they did also kill jesus. that was a pretty significant thing that happened. like i understand where you’re coming from here but they very much did kill jesus.

underrated tumblr feature is being able to catch up to yourself on your dash. so there is an END POINT. and you can say “ah, I have reached where I left off, there is no more to see! I’ll take my leave now and come back later when there are new posts.” instead of being stuck forever in a bottomless algorithm pit digging deeper and deeper till you have to summon monumental strength to climb out

I know this is the autism site and I see people wondering this in the tags so to be clear: this is assuming your parents survived to adulthood, met each other, and conceived you. altho the person who said they were ivf has an interesting answer so I guess you can say nuance if you want. I didn't put a nuance option sorry.
The Color Game. “Humans can’t reliably recall colors. This is a simple game to see how good (or bad) you are at it. We’ll show you five colors, then you’ll try and recreate them.” I scored 39/50 but got a perfect score on one color.
