Naruto - The Journey

I filled my days with mischief,

Just hoping to be seen,

But it was all just a distraction,

From how lonely I had been.

I never let it get to to me,

I knew I had places to go,

No matter what they said to me,

I had a goal Dattebayo!

The path was never easy,

I lost people day by day,

But I carry them all with me,

They lift me up and guide the way.

I always tried my best,

And never went back on my word,

I braved more than I though possible,

As I learnt more about the world.

I made friends with my demon,

And I even learnt his name,

Despite everything that happened,

I didnt place any blame.

It came time to take a final stand,

Against the man that I called friend,

With so much to say and no other way,

We fought to what we thought would be the end."

Natsume Takashi - Shadows

"I cried into the darkness,

But you were nowhere to be found,

The only sound that answered back,

Was my feet upon the ground.

For a long time I wandered,

Was sent from place to place,

Tried all different family,

But for me they had no place.

I can't say that I blame them,

I was always followed by fear,

The monsters in the shadows,

Things only I could see and hear.

Then as I grew older,

I had hoped it would go away,

But all the shapes and shadows,

Made it clear they were here to stay.

But you don't need to worry,

In time I found my place,

These people and these creatures,

They became easier to face.

Even with this understanding,

That they come and then they go,

I hold you all in my heart,

And it leaves me room to grow."

Kyo & Tohru - The Lost Cat

"I was a lost cat,

Not sure what I would find,

But from the moment that I saw her,

That girl wouldn't leave my mind.

I had a complicated story,

My curse was tough to bare,

I was resigned to my fate,

Even though it wasn't fair.

You saw the best parts of me,

Even when they were hidden on my back,

And I could see yours too,

Beneath the things we thought we lacked.

Then you discovered my darkness,

All the secrets that I hid,

An ancient promise bound me,

Left me feeling like a little kid.

I'm not sure how you did it,

I was sure you would run away,

But as the night broke into morning,

There you were,

You stayed."

Natsu & Lucy - How It All Began

"The moment that I met you,

You went and broke the spell,

You dragged me close behind you,

How quickly our footsteps fell.

I wasn't looking for you,

And you certainly weren't looking for me,

But if I could do it all again,

This is where I would choose to be.

If at any time I'd lost you,

Your hair would become a beacon,

But if I were to have told you,

You would probably say it's salmon.

You had a fire in your belly,

And I guess you lit mine too,

Because from that moment on,

I knew what I had to do.

Through trials and tribulation,

You were always by my side,

You held me in the light,

Because with you I had no reason to hide.

In the end,

In this life full of adventure,

Wally & Artemis - Acceptance

"You crashed into my world,

A streak of red and yellow,

I could hardly believe,

That it all started with a single arrow.

We didn't get along,

But perhaps it was no surprise ,

You thought I didn't belong there,

You thought I was second prize.

Next Fate played a role,

An event filled with magic,

You were told to find a Spitfire,

The advice followed by something tragic.

On the day I woke beside you,

In a land of blistering heat,

Even though we had no memory,

That day you swept me off my feet.

Once again you surprised me,

In a land of chilling snow,

Even when you thought that I was gone forever,

You weren't willing to let me go.

I thought you were a fool,

And that you'd never understand,

But you took me by surprise,

When you suddenly took my hand.

You told me I belonged,

Though I never knew the word,

Something small but sweet,

And suddenly I felt heard.

It hurt me to disappoint you,

More than you could ever know,

Please know I have my demons,

Ones that follow me where I go,

Skeletons in the closet,

Ones that were eating me away,

Despite my fear I laid it bare,

And in the end you stayed."

Knew I wanted to animate this the second I saw it! @jeannemaybedarc 's take on Mari di Angelo (adopted daughter of Nico and Will) and Ray Jackson (son of Percy and Annabeth) !! Absolutely stunning! The lighting was a challenge but I am happy with this.
