We’re living in conditions unfit for anyone, and this video of the bathroom in the school where we’re sheltering shows just a glimpse of our reality. The bathroom is shared, located on the second floor, and there is no sewage system—garbage and wastewater cover the floor, adding to our fears each day.
Our children play here with no safety, and we live in constant worry that one of them might fall from the high floors. Two children have already fallen from the third floor, and every day, we feel the tragedy could repeat.

Hani Alanqar @haniyaseer03 lives with his family in Gaza. They once lived a peace and happy life before the war began. However their home, once a place of security and joyful memories, has now been reduced to rubble. The Alanqar family was forced to flee for their lives, traveling 15 kilometers to the south of Gaza to escape bombing and death. Since then, their lives have been eclipsed by suffering and fear.
Like everyone in Gaza, Hani and his family have been suffering from the lack of food, medical care, and other basic necessities available. Hani's father is sick, and his mother requires constant medical care, which is extremely hard to get in Gaza right now. His younger siblings have been lacking the food they need, putting their health and growth at risk. The whole Alanqar family has not had any safe or comfortable shelter for a long time.

Hani's final goal of €25,000 is not very high when compared to the costs of being trapped in Gaza, and the immensity of living under a genocide. However, despite having a very achievable goal, donations have been few and far between. Currently, he is at less than 12% of his goal!
This is not enough for Hani to buy the vital medical care and food his family need to survive. Hani has worked so hard and so diligently to keep his beloved family alive. Please, don't let his effort and love be in vain. Help them live. You can make a difference. Through your action, you can help them survive, and live happy lives once again someday.

remaking this post again because i’m not getting the help i need towards meeting my goal despite all the signal boosts :( i’m eden, a disabled transmasc person trying to get top surgery this january or february (2022), which is in just two to three months. I will know an exact surgery date on or before december 14, as i had my consultation a few weeks ago and i’m just waiting for the surgeon’s office to process my information. i will know more exact costs then, but i’m estimating in the thousands even with insurance (to cover out of pocket surgery costs, hospital and anesthesia bills, and groceries + utilities while i recover). i am a very low-income, chronically ill student and i really need help with making this vital part of my transition a reality since i am so close to actualizing it, but cannot hope to afford the expenses it will incur without your support.
in addition, i need to get my name changed before i graduate this spring. i have my documents filled out, but i need to raise $165+ for the filing and paperwork fees. this does not include the cost of additional documentation i will need created, such as a correct birth certificate and ID. i am meeting with a support counselor later this afternoon to go over the process and timeline.

Majakka, our queer and trans commune , is in need of help. Due to a medical emergency with one of the tenants, we are lacking in funds to pay the whole rent. Some of us are running from abusive parents, and if the rent is not made, it’s entirely possible that trans and queer people will go homeless or have to return to abusive parents.
Right now, there is another pressing matter on top of our concerns with rent. We have promised to help a trans person of colour who lives in another country in Europe get housing in our commune, and they have been preparing to leave their extremely conservative household for a while now. Due to some things that are too personal to share in a public space, their situation just got far more dire. They have literally no money and need to book a flight to Finland before the end of this month.
Please help us both make rent and fly our dear friend to safety. For the rent we’re missing on roughly the 300€ each month, and for the ticket we would probably need at least another 150€ due to the high cost of tickets even within Europe during the summer.
