Based on the elaborate, carefully tailored illusions he creates, I have decided that the wyrm is clearly bored and lacks stimulation. Giant monsterous worm dragons (commonly referred to as Wyrms) are complex and highly ambitious by nature and often don’t cope well in captivity, so if you’re going to keep them in enclosed spaces, like under the crust of the earth, you’re gonna need to make sure they are kept engaged and healthy, otherwise they may act out and display dangerous and aggressive behaviour, like wanting to destroy and/or enslave all life.
