loving a femme was the first thing that ever felt natural to me

idk who needs to hear it but it’s ok to be a trans butch, whether you're transmasc or transfem or somewhere in the middle, you're allowed to express yourself however you want, no matter what other people might think of you
butchfemme dynamics aren't beautiful simply because of the aesthetic, they're special due to the vast, rich history and politics behind them. because of the generations of lesbians that have taken on these labels with pride. i don't call myself a butch because i'm masculine, i call myself a butch because i connect so deeply to the identity that has been carefully built and fought for by those that came before me.
i can't get the image of being bed with a femme while we read next to each other out of my mind. her head is laid firmly on my chest, her concentrated eyes shifting from one side of the page to the other. not a word has been spoken for hours, but it doesn't matter. the only thing we need is the comfort of each others presence, to feel safe in each others arms.
