✣ 「 ヴェン」 ❦❧ ─ It has been hours since Riku have been at it with the Gummi-ship, whose, by the way was Sora’s responsibility. Oddly enough there’s a sense of feeling that, the brunet have this tendency to run off and his best friend holds most of the responsible between the two –despite being a hero and all– it made Ven felt bad as Aqua most of the time clean up after himself and Terra. The wrench was handed carefully onto awaiting hand. “You know Riku, you ought to take a take break. You’ve been at it since… hours ago.” The next thing that the other Keyblade wielder ask to hand over, a little mischief in Ven stirred.
In Placement of the screw driver, it was a baguette sandwich.
In a way, Ventus was waiting the right moment to offer him the lunch he’d made. That explains why he’d been standing there for a fully fifteen minutes. The blond wasn’t sure how though. Riku seemed so busy he didn’t want to disturb him… but then again, health comes first. “Take a break? I didn’t know what you like. I pretty much made a steak sandwich, with a flare of my personal seasoning. Ice coffee or tea?” Thankfully he’d been bored to death, Ventus had polish his culinary skills Aqua had taught him.. someone has to cook. Beside Aqua there was no way he’ll keep on eating the super spicy stuff Terra always liked or the horror Eraqus unleashed in the kitchen.
Helping around had aid to take off his mind from Unpleasant thoughts.
Working for hours without breaking wasn’t exactly uncommon for Riku. He was used to it from when he was younger: helping out on the docks to earn a bit of extra cash here and there, training on his own to fight back the darkness, journeying across worlds and times to find Sora... He always rushed ahead without stopping one way or another.
He didn’t think much of it anymore, especially now that he had a title to live up to. Between coaching the others the best he could and maintaining the Tower, he didn’t like breaking. Breaking meant thinking and he didn’t have time to delve into that bucket of fish.
When he felt the baguette in his hands instead of a wrench, he almost dropped it. “Ah, hang on--” He tossed it back to Ven before climbing down the ladder and wiping off his hands on a spare rag. The Gummi ships didn’t require much oil, but it helped to keep everything smoothly fitting into one another. “Let me wash my hands, okay? And ice coffee is fine by me.”
“Also,” he said with a smile, “Thanks for helping me out in the kitchen too. I don’t trust Sor and Kai within ten yards of a kitchen knife. It’s nice to know that someone else can handle themselves.”
