Look at these cute little knitted tortoises :D Someone i know made them and shared the pattern, so i figured i’d share it here for you :D I dont understand any of it, so its copied and pasted.

Pattern requires oddments of yarn and a small amount of stuffing. I used seed beads for eyes although French knots would suffice. Requires 3mm needles and dk (I used 2.75mm). Lets get started…

Shell - co 8 and p 1 row

- Inc kwise in each (16)

- P 1 row

- (k1, inc in next) x 4 , (inc next, k1) x4 (24)

- P 1 row

- (k2, inc in next) x4, (inc in next, k2) x 4 (32)

- P 1 row

(k3, inc next) x4, (inc next, k3) x 4 (40)

- St st 3 rows

- P 1 row

Beg p st st 5 rows - the extra p row is your guide for attracting the shell edge later on

Pull yarn through rem sts. Sew inside out leaving small gap for stuffing.

EDGING - co 46 sts and work 2 rows in k1 p1 rib. Cast off pwise.

Coffee stirrers. You have got to be kidding me. You're amazing. The most creative I've gotten with needing something I don't have is using paper clips or safety pins for stitch markers. I've also been known to use safety pins as stitch holders.

Well thank you...I just thought I was being a tad obsessive over my knitting. Getting creative just takes a stimulus, and I hope you've never had to Be that desperate. Once I had to use the ink cartidge of a pen as an impromptu needle, but other than those incidences I've been a boring knitter with just my needles. Keep storing your creativity for your projects! I'm a bit absent minded, so this became a necessity.
