Crested geckos for sale

Hey y’all! My two crested geckos have bred recently and I am looking for people interested in buying their offspring, none have been laid yet but I would like to have about ten people interested in buying lined up. These geckos will only go to good homes. The requirements are a picture of the tank set up as well as other supplies you have bought a week prior to you receiving the gecko, experienced owners are preferred but not a requirement. This is a first come first serve basis, first in line will be able to choose from the batch and geckos will be shipped out a month after hatching to assure a healthy gecko. No downpayment is required since this will be our first batch and you will be contacted with updates, we’re estimating $60-$120 for each and prices will be based on color + pattern. If the gecko arrives dead in transit, a refund for that gecko will be done with provided picture evidence from buyer on that day but a shipping refund will not be issued. Ok so this is going to be a REALLY long answer. Wanted to make another little illustrated tutorial for this one like my last one, but more detail for the head.

I've personally seen a lot of illegal stuff with domestics this year. People seem to think that just because they found a dog or cat outside, that it solely belongs to them and they don't have to wait to work on it. There's also been people buying illegal domestic stuff, which of course we all know is illegal. Like goodbye 2017, may the law catch those who willfully break it in 2018.

Ugh. Friendly reminder to everyone: in most places, pets are legally considered property. Dead or not, it legally belongs to someone. If you do not try to find the rightful owner, this IS considered theft, and IS punishable by law. This is only one reason why it’s recommended to find the rightful owner of a domestic animal for at least a month. And this goes for any domestic, by the way. Cow, horse, goat, pig, sheep, duck, chicken, snake, etc. Unless the carcass is rotten beyond recognition or just bones or something you need to try to find its original owner.

Not to mention it’s completely heartless not to. I’ve had a dog who was hit and killed by a car, and had several friends whose cats went missing and at least one who later turned up as roadkill. I’ve also worked for animal services for a city, where we were responsible for roadkill pickup. I cannot even begin to explain how important it is for an owner to have some closure and know what happened to their pet, even if the truth is very grim and upsetting. At least you know what happened. And some people may really, really want the body back so they can bury it or cremate it or whatever they may do (I have a non-vulture vegan friend who got her cat’s skull cleaned and put it on display, so honestly you never know!). Don’t rob someone of that.

Finally, STOP TRYING TO SELL CAT AND DOG PELTS! Don’t try to trade for it. Don’t do some kind of work-around. This is all very illegal and serious business. Warn anyone you see doing this, and if they ignore your warning honestly go report them. If you are willfully breaking the law I’m sorry but we don’t need you in the community.

It’s also not just limited to pelts. The law includes it’s any and all fur products from cats and dogs:

(6)Dog or cat fur product

The term “dog or cat fur product” means any item of merchandise which consists, or is composed in whole or in part, of any dog fur, cat fur, or both. [x]

Any dog or cat product that has fur on it is illegal to buy/sell/trade. Period.

Cat and dog fur was originally banned because of people using it for fur garments/accessories/etc. This is why you can get away with selling bones or wet preserved/dissection ready specimens legally. The only exception to this rule that I know of is making products from shed cat and dog fur (and even then, I’m not entirely sure if it needs to be a service offered for people using their pets fur rather than just selling things made from any fur; I would make phone calls to the proper authorities before selling any of these kind of products). The original purpose of the law was to stop people from substituting cat and dog fur for other furs and mislabeling them as said other fur. This also includes leather made from cats or dogs.

FYI: violations can incur penalty fees of up to $10,000 for each intentional violation, $3,000 for each negligent violation. Nothing you sell is going to be worth the risk.

Also just going to throw this out there, “Any person who furnishes information leading to a civil penalty assessment, debarment or forfeiture of property for any violation the act may be entitled to a reward for this information.” That reward can be up to $500.

Went to the Buffalo Museum of Science today! This is Stuffy. Dude’s been around since 1895, and has gone between the public library, here, and the Central Terminal. Fun fact: touching him is unsafe because of all the chemicals used to preserve his fur.

This is the skull of Sarcosuchus, an extinct genus of crocodile that lived 112 million years ago and is colloquially known as “Super Croc”, compared to the skull of a modern-day crocodile. Sarcosuchus was over twice as long as crocodiles today, reaching a maximum length of about 10 m (32.8 ft), and weighing approximately 8 tonnes (17,637 pounds).

Boy do I have something good to post today!!! Probably the most interesting thing in the collection to date! The dolphin skull is all finished!

 Absolutely funky looking dude. Cyclops alligator. Bicycle seat yokai.  After all that work I was still missing about 4 teeth. Unfortunately I think they fell out before I found it. But they were replaced almost perfectly with some off white skulpy. In fact I’m not sure I remember which ones were fake.  I’ll write up a bit more in depth post about it later, might also dip it in peroxide but ill see how it looks after a few weeks sitting out. It actually looks pretty okay as is.  (This specimen is held under license for educational use! Cetacean skulls are not legal to possess without paperwork!)
