Pretty sure it’s the same motel, although the real one is Coral Motel.
Wibaux County Sheriff’s Office
I noticed the Shamrock is right next to the place they had breakfast in.
Look.
And I was wrong, apparently they park the cars straight out even on the street. Weird.
So things are very different now on this street than they were in this movie. But it is the same street. This is like main street in Wibaux.
Pretty sure the cops were going up this street:
This cafe right here is next to Shamrock, a few buildings down the street but still next to it, and it has the street pole and the street corner. It’s not exactly like the movie but again, the movie was filmed in 1999 and things change quite a bit in that time.
Here’s the club they visited in the movie. It looks different now. Although you gotta remember the movie was filmed in 1999. I imagine they went in from the side, as is shown in the last image, because of the way the cars are facing. Seems it looked a lot different back then.
Plus who’s to say that it was even the same building back in 1999, they could have moved. I don’t know the history behind the place. But this is it either way. The Shamrock. It’s a real place in Wibaux Montana.
Blow a kiss, fire a gun
We need someone to lean on
Blow a kiss, fire a gun
All we need is somebody to lean on
I will never let you fall
I'll stand up with you forever
I'll be there for you through it all
Even if saving you sends me to heaven
I'll be your cryin' shoulder I'll be love suicide I'll be better when I'm older I'll be the greatest fan of your life
Yeah I, will love you, baby
Always and I'll be there Forever and a day, always
I'll be there, till the stars don't shine
'Til the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme
I know when I die you'll be on my mind
And I'll love you, always
I imagine this one is Taylor singing to Matty.
If you ain't got someone, you're afraid to lose (shows where Matty panics about Deputy Ward pointing a gun at Taylor. At the same time this is also Taylor rushing toward Matty when he's getting smacked around so it kind of works for both of them.)
Everybody needs just one, someone to tell them the truth (Taylor always tells Matty the truth, straight up, no holds barred.)
Maybe I'm a dreamer, but I still believe I believe in hope, I believe the change can get us off our knees (Taylor has hope that Matty can change from trying to be a mobster and has hope in Matty being a regular citizen.)
What do you got, if you ain't got love Whatever you got, it just ain't enough (Matty's loaded cause of his relation to his pop, but money means nothing.)
You're walkin' the road, but you're goin' nowhere (Matty trying to walk down this road, of being a mobster like his pop, cause he's seeking his love and acceptance. But he's not going anywhere with it because his father will never be who Matty needs him to be.)
You're tryin' to find your way home, but there's no one there (Trying to find your way home I feel could be metaphorical for trying to find what you belong to but no one being there. It can also be literal in the sense that Matty goes home and is alone, as he always has been, which is what he states in the beginning of the movie. That he was always alone.)
Who do you hold, in the dark of night You wanna give up, but it's worth the fight (Life's worth fighting for.)
You have all the things, that you've been dreamin' of (Matty always wanted his pop to look at him like he was a man, and by the end of the movie, he does.)
If you ain't got love, it's all just keeping score (But his pop doesn't give him the love he needs, Taylor does.)
If you ain't got love, what the hell we doing it for (What the hell's Matty trying to impress his pop for by delivering this bag of money when his father will never be the one who loves him unconditionally?)
Say, go through the darkest of days (What happened in the beef terminal)
Heaven's a heartbreak away (Matty driving away with Taylor in the van is the heaven, the heartbreak is everything that happened in Montana plus him "disappointing" his pop.)
Never let you go, never let me down (Taylor's always there for Matty)
Oh, it's been a hell of a ride Driving the edge of a knife (All that happened in Montana)
Never let you go, never let me down (Taylor won't let Matty down or let him go down the wrong path)
Don't you give up, nah-nah-nah (Taylor telling Matty not to give up on being a regular citizen and having a normal life)
I won't give up, nah-nah-nah (Matty's response, as he leaves the mobster life behind so that he can have a regular life)
Let me love you Let me love you (Taylor speaking to Matty of course)
I'm hilarious. I also have too much time on my hands.

In 1987 Matty was 12 years old. In the movie. That means he was born in 1975. And the movie was finished filming in 1999 so that means at the time, Matty was intended to be 24 years old.
The movie didn’t come out til 2001, they held it off til after XXX with Diesel for monetary gain. But it was finished in 1999 which is why I go based off that.
Hard to believe the movie was filmed 20 years ago.
This is basically what Matty Demaret wears for pajamas in my story.
