Hello, Witches! I hope you + yours are all safe + well. 💕 • ☽ • I’ve taken a break from posting for a bit, while I allowed myself to process everything going on around the world, + that time was exactly what I needed. • ☽ • We’ve spent our lives inundated with the message that we should always be moving forward, always making progress, never slowing until every goal has been achieved + we’ve attained “success.” • ☽ • The Universe, however, doesn’t operate on our timeline. There are pieces we can’t even fathom which must be put in place before our dreams become reality. This forced slow-down isn’t a sign that we’ll never achieve them, but rather an opportunity for the Universe to catch up to us. • ☽ • There are so many challenges being thrown at us right now, but all is not lost. Happy Witchy Wednesday, Friends! • ☽ • Right now, many of us are feeling overwhelmed by all the uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus, + one of our greatest needs is peace of mind. I was tempted to create an elaborate ritual to ease us all into a meditative state - I’m still working on something along those lines - but I feel like something simple, versatile, + powerful is what’s needed in this moment. • ☽ • With that in mind, I chose to present to you one of the most basic spells in all of witchcraft (or, perhaps more accurately, wish-craft): burning your intentions to release them into the Universe. • ☽ • As a young witchling, I used to perform this magic by simply writing my wish on a piece of paper (it was usually something along the lines of “get a boyfriend” 🙄) + lighting it on the flame of a white tapered candle. • ☽ • As my wishes have evolved, so have my techniques. Today, I prefer to write my wish on a bay leaf, as they have not only the ability to grant wishes, but also to cleanse a space of negative energies, + I light it with the flame of a candle with a color chosen to match my intentions. • ☽ • My wish in this tumultuous time is for peace of mind, for myself + all of you. I’ve chosen a mulberry colored candle, combining the properties of red + purple to enhance courage, strength, wisdom, + tranquility. • ☽ • ☽ • S I M P L E • W I S H • S P E L L • ☽ •••I N G R E D I E N T S••• - Bay Leaf (substitute paper if needed) - Pen or Marker - Candle (preferably of a color chosen to amplify your intention) - Fireproof Bowl/Plate/Cup • ☽ • Light your candle, then visualize your wish coming true as you write it on the bay leaf. Ignite the bay leaf with the candle’s flame, holding the visual of your granted wish, as the leaf turns to ashes + energy. Before the flame comes too close to your fingers, drop it into the fireproof bowl, plate, or cup to finish burning. Reignite the leaf if necessary, until it has completely turned to ash. It’s Tarot Tuesday, Witches! • ☽ • In light of the chaos around us, I’ve decided to do things a little bit differently. This week, I’ve selected a fourth card for the collective, + placed it above my usual pick-a-card spread. These are definitely NOT the best of times. Whether you find your feelings are being invalidated, you’re being attacked for your stance on current events, or your family + friends are heaping on guilt for your decision on whether to self-quarantine or not, there are lines being crossed all over the place right now. Current events aside, what other areas of your life could benefit from stronger boundaries?

Are there any places in your body that are calling your attention + asking for more empowered boundaries? Shadow is not a bad word. It encompasses all the parts of you that have been shut away + ignored, whether because of limiting beliefs, fear, or perceived blocks. But this part of you often also holds your greatest gifts. To know yourself completely, you must work with your shadow + heal any wounds or blocks rooted there.

Hello, Witches! • ☽ • Right now, it may seem like the world has been completely consumed by fear and chaos, and that is taking its toll on many hearts. • ☽ • The absolute best course of action is to follow all government and CDC/WHO guidelines. Practice social distancing, wash your hands like CRAY, and don’t touch your face, even though that’s pretty much all any of us want to do these days. 😂 • ☽ • It’s important not to ignore our mental and spiritual health during this time of crisis, and I love the instant boost of positivity provided by powerful mantras + affirmations. • ☽ • I’ll be saying this little gem throughout the day. Give it a try, and pay attention to the energy within your body both before and after speaking these words aloud. Notice the changes, the shifts, whether they’re subtle or in-your-face.
