Golden-cheeked Warbler

This critically endangered bird is the only species of bird that nests only in Texas and nowhere else in the world. It requires the ashe juniper-oak woodlands of the southern Edwards Plateau, where it spends the spring and summer breeding before migrating into Mexico for the winter.

Turns out it is Meloe americanus, Buttercup Oil Beetle

I just found out last week that some insect ID can be done with the size of antennal segments, and this is one that uses that method. So cool!
