Mike Perry stops Nate Diaz after 2nd round.
More specifically, Nate's corner or the doctor called the fight after seeing how badly their guy was getting beat.
Nate looked old. Which is to be expected because he looked old the last time he did MMA, which was 4 years ago. And he's only gotten older since. Perry walked him down for 10 minutes. Nate landed with the jab and a few counters but just nothing substantial. No type of pop or conviction. Perry was in more danger of gassing than getting hit. And Nate gassed like 2 minutes into the fight. Partly cause he's old, but also cause Perry was the rare Diaz opponent that decided to hit either of them as hard as he could to the body. Multiple times. You could see Nate shrink each time he landed. Not surprising either that Nate got busted open. Between all the blood and Nate eating a huge knee right at the end of the 2nd round that sent him to the ground, it was the right move to stop it. (Better move would have been not to make the fight).
Everything in my mind and soul told me something like this was going to happen. And I was still sad and disappointed watching that fight.
