Did the shadow hand trend with Makima.
Who really cares? Won’t somebody listen?
Here's a little Makima before I sleep.
I got inspired by that Dandelion opening.
What a banger.
my dream blunt rotation
Imagine if Makima acrually could experience human connection but chose not to. Like, imagine a young recently reincarnated Makima unsure of who she is and what she is supposed to do on earth only to be meant with cruelty and scorn. Maybe the government found her and immediately saw her as pawn for global domination. Maybe they gave her foster parents but they never actually cared for her, just the fat cheque the government sent them for their troubles.
Everytime there was a brief moment of hope of possibility for her to have a family or someone care about her it was shattered because she was a devil. Either she did something to mess things up or they found out and pulled away or they always knew and just saw her as a devil and nothing more. Sometimes her instincts would get the better of her and she ended hurting the people she cared about. Or once they find out she was a devil, they turned on her and tried to harm her. It was a messy combination of her nature as a devil with the way the world was taught to view her kind that left constantly blocked from a more fulfilling life.
Once she got older she changed her goals. Rather than being angry she accepted that she was the problem and that she needed to sacrifice herself to make the world better. By using Pochita's abilities maybe she can rewrite reality in such a way that devils can be seen as good but also that humans cant cause harm. Despite her lofty goals and mature demeanor, deep inside she was a hurting child unsure of how to fix the world around her. And of course she feels its her responsibility to fix it, she is the control devil after all. Her natural instinct is to be in control. Its the only plausible solution for her.
It really reframes her relationship with Denji. Sure there may have been an easier way to go about her plans but she choose that method because she genuinely despised. Denji was the kind of person she needed in her life. Someone to love her unconditionally. Who would allow her to make mistakes and still see the better in them. The fact that he saw the hero of hell and instead of fearing him he chose to love and care for him. Everything she did to Denji was a recreation of her own childhood. She made him experience the pain that she experienced because that is the only kind of pain she can think of to break the contract. Its the only kind of pain she genuinely understands.
Just a thought. Honestly, im more team "Makima was just #likethat" and there really is no deeper explanation to her actions. Just an absolute bitch because who was gonna stop her?
Me a day after playing Mewgenics...
Seriously, this soundtrack is incredible.
