God I need a drink.
Sorry. I guess I snap pretty easily.
How have you been?
Well, everyone's been a little on edge lately.
I'm...dealing. What about you?

Sorry. I guess I snap pretty easily.
How have you been?
Well, everyone's been a little on edge lately.
I'm...dealing. What about you?
God I need a drink.
You and me both.
Yeah… Too bad. Besides, it’s probably a criminal offence.
Well, so are a lot of things. Doesn't stop a lot of people from doing them.
God I need a drink.
That’s not a bad idea.
You think it would work?
Probably not, I have no idea how a water system even works.
It would have been fun to see though. Probably would have made my year.
God I need a drink.
You can say that again.
Maybe we should spike the water.
God I need a drink.
Was that supposed to be an insult? You really need to work harder at getting this bitch thing down.
Down girl, I was simply stating what I had heard about you. No need to put those defenses up.
Falling Asleep On A Stranger || Nola and ...
Sunlight leaked through the leaves of the tree Nola was settled under, illuminating the top of her hair. Her head rested against the hard bark, watching bemused as the residents of Midland moved through the parks paths, making an effort to avoid eye contact with the darkly clad girl sitting in the shadows. She smirked to herself as she raised the cigarette to her lips once again, closing her eyes against the deep burn as the smoke moved through her lungs and exhaled, her lips forming a small circle as she pushed the poison out of her.
It had become usual behavior for the people to evade her. Nola herself believed that they had come to ignore even each other. For with eye contact came connection and the people of Midland had grown fearful of even that. One more thing to add on to the growing list, she mused to herself. On days when the young woman was feeling particularly spiteful, she would go out of her way to make conversation with one of them. Watching the tells of anxiety, pervade their bodies; the darting eyes, the pulling of sleeves and the forced smiles. Each small jitter increasing the smile on Nola's face.
Nola tilted her head towards the sky squinting her eyes, relishing in the stinging sensation of her eyes as they took in the brilliance of the sun. She shut her eyes quickly, watching as the light burned into her retinas danced across her eyelids. She left her eyes closed, fighting against the drowsiness most likely induced by whatever pills she had swallowed this morning, forgetting about the dwindling cigarette perched between her fingers.

Don’t we all?
Touché. Especially the people in this town.
God I need a drink.
Want some company?
Well of course I do. Is this you offering your services?
God I need a drink.
When have I ever given a shit about what my sister thinks?
Oh wait, you don't care what anybody thinks. My mistake.
God I need a drink.
I think I do too.
Well then. I suggest we find a way to fix this.
God I need a drink.
I could steal from my sister’s stash…
Hmm, if dear old Savannah finds out she would kill you and we wouldn't want that to happen. Would we?
