Uneasy, restless, and tested,
We’re pacing,
For hope and happiness,
But should we continue to,
Search?
Why not perch?
On the forced moments of
Solitude.

Double Standards
We're pushing the brink,
he gets no sleep,
I get no rest,
he gets empathy,
I get the scarlet letter,
It's a circus with a purpose,
the acts, the tricks, the melodramatic gags,
Tightrope walks,
moving towards a goal,
he's careful not too fall,
I juggle my pins,
He gets empathy,
I receive unwanted advice,
Keep an eye on him,
Don't let him fall,
But here's the truth,
As much as I'd like to help,
We were given single-person roles,
We both deserve the grimaces of suspense,
the exhales of relief,
We both deserve the praise,
and the unwavering applause,
We were given single-person roles,
but together we're part of the bigger show.
Hatred
like bird feed for,
winged fears,
seeds of invasive weeds,
green layers of useless energy,
on cultivated ground,
copious land masked by parasitic vines,
trim off the top?
No! dig out the roots.
pull out the source,
clear out the remnants,
patience,

My meaning of life
The meaning of life is subjectively pure. It is every possible emotion and experience you can imagine. Life is the centrifugal force in a chaotic cosmic cluster fuck that divinely settles into a balanced cloud of ease. Life is what so many choose to dissipate until it is for a slight moment threatened to be deceased. Life is subjectively pure.
Orchid's Love
If you’ve ever seen an orchid, you’ll admire it’s beauty- soft, delicate petals adorning strong glossy green leaves. The flower is beautiful and can easily grab unto any plant. And if you’ve ever taken care of one, you’ll know it can be tricky to keep it healthy, that is, until you realize how easy it is to care for. It takes a few days for you to see that it needs sun, but not too much. So, you place it in a shady area where the sun hits only a few times a day. You realize that when the glossy leaves flop down, it needs water. But the sad part is when all its petals fall off because it takes time for her to bloom again. And if you continue to pay enough attention, you’ll witness how she slowly grows a post with buds. And if you’re a little more patient, you’ll finally get to see how beautiful her buds bloom. That’s an orchid’s love.
Astray
We were once cohesive. Our crevices unseen. One molded statue, Of good lies, But now it seems, I’m the adhesive, My weak glue, Easily unfastened, And though I understand, The idea of independence. I sit in melancholy, As you go astray.
5 Seconds of Random Thoughts
about your life comes a time forgetful thoughts will never transpose velvet sheets of red lacquer and hips of steal turn away kind angel and let this turquoise ring fall off an endless abyss of romance and lust.
Hypocrisy vs Prudence
I’ve always struggled with the idea that with certain people I am cautious. I merely observe while playing the latest album of “My Opinions,” in my head. And it’s not that I don’t mind a good debate. Ask my husband, he’ll tell you.
I feel that with certain people not only do I fear judgement from them, but I also think they would be offended. So does this make me a hypocrite?
I hear all these “bad bitches,” pouring their 2 cents on everything and although I do find some of their comments funny, I admire their bravery. I found myself thinking, “I should just say everything I think without fear.”
However, today as I walked my lovely boxer and saw her perfectly firm shit plop on the floor, I thought, “Eureka!”
What I am doing is not wrong at all. I think that this creates respect. Prudence is very necessary and to think that I have to show every single part of me or perhaps the same aspect of me to every person makes me not only one-dimensional, but selfish.
Just because the person might not accept my smoking weed or sexual puns does not mean that I am not giving my full value. We shouldn’t have to shove our opinions down people’s throats. We can definitely practice discretion. Now, I’ve always known this, but not until now I’ve been struggling with the thought that this makes me a hypocrite. Some people know me as the quiet sweet girl and others as the silly one. And now I’ve realized that this is OK.
We shouldn’t have to be the “same” for everyone. This creates peace and harmony and makes you dynamic. Now, if you really need to express your opinion on account of encountering a dickface, go ahead and do so because passivity is not what I’m promoting. I’m merely explaining that a little bit of prudence with people should be exercised. Relate to people in a different way. Talk about something else. You’re bound to find a common ground. After all, there’s so much of you that you have yet to discover.
We all just want unconditional relationships. Why is that so hard though?
There comes a time when the frustration is so much that you scream and move forward.
Freedom: Black and White Subject
It is of great concern to think that there is no such thing as true freedom. After all, you can't be "moderately free." Freedom in "moderation" doesn't exist, just as there is no such thing as being "moderately dead." (I quote this from a movie I just saw.) And so I can go on about how perhaps our thoughts are the only source of true escape, but even that is questionable. We are bound by the construct of our psyche and experiences. And so instead of going about in circles, I'd rather focus on what I can currently accomplish in comparison to others. And since I currently don't feel brave enough to create tsunami-type changes, I'd rather start small. And so I say to you, we each have advantages in certain aspects of our lives. Let's grant some liberties to one another. We stumble upon restrictions in every aspect of our lives. Why not better it for each other?

Overexposure
A sheer handkerchief, The best angles, The best hues, And as the moons pass, The tides change, Strident wind, The weather wrecks, And so the handkerchief tears, And there’s harsh light, The angles sharp, The contrast bold, And so I wait till the calm returns.
Because it is possible to create…one has anxiety. One would have no anxiety if there were no possibility whatever. Creating, actualizing one’s possibilities…always involves destroying the status quo, destroying old patterns within oneself. Progressively destroying what one has clung to from childhood on, and creating new and original forms and ways of living. If one does not do this, one is refusing to grow, refusing to avail himself of his possibilities; one is shirking his responsibility to himself.
Kierkegaard (read the article from Brain Pickings)
Change is not hypocritical. Change is not delusional. Change is necessary for stability.
Hiatus
“All things are subject to interpretation; whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.”
Friedrich Nietzsche (via excercisingintellect)
Does this mean that our intentions are never pure?
