Is it normal for people to rate fanfics? I don't believe "offended" is the right word, but I find the whole idea uncomfortable.
These are people writing for free bc they genuinely love the characters, and then seeing someone reduce that effort to "mid" "meh" or a number out of ten feels weirdly dismissive to me. Obviously, you're allowed to dislike a fic, but treating someone's passion like it's a product being reviewed feels borderline awful.

Here's the translated version of THAT part in chapter 6.
"Can I be sweet for a moment?" Tord hesitated, the confidence he'd been wearing slipping away for just a moment. His thumb brushed gently across Tom's cheek.
"Tell me." Tom's mouth curved into a small smile as he leaned over the touch of his hand. "However you can."
Something in that smile seemed to settle whatever uncertainty had been lingering in Tord's mind. His expression softened when he spoke again; the words came out in the most instinctive way they could.
"I should've said something before I left." Tord's voice was barely above a whisper. He lowered his head, pressing his lips gently against Tom's jaw. His lips remained on Tom's skin for a few seconds before he drew back.
"I thought I'd lost you." Another kiss, slightly lower. "I was so scared I'd never see you again." His mouth moved slowly along the line of Tom's jaw, each kiss soft and unhurried. Tom felt the warmth of his breath between them, felt the slight tremor that still hadn't entirely left Tord's body.
"I don't think you understand what you did to me." His lips hovered against Tom's skin. Tom's eyes closed as he felt Tord kissing his neck.
"I hated you for making me miss you." The words came out rougher this time.
Another kiss.
"I hated myself more for still wanting you."
His mouth lingered beneath Tom's jaw. He said nothing, breathing against him, as though the confession had taken more out of him than he had expected. He moved lower. His lips brushed the curve of Tom's throat before trailing slowly down toward his clavicle, lingering against it before moving on.
"There were days when I couldn't remember your voice anymore."
Tom's fingers clawed the sheets as he felt Tord's trail of kisses slowing down. His lips touched the warm skin as though he were trying to reassure himself that this was real, that the person beneath his hands hadn't vanished again.
"I was terrified that one day I'd wake up…" His mouth moved lower. "…and you wouldn't matter to me." The words seemed to hang between them. Tord lifted his head slightly. There was something unbearably fragile in his expression that made Tom's chest tighten.
Tord lowered his gaze again. He resumed slowly, his kisses wandering across his skin with no particular destination. It felt almost like an apology, as if he was trying to make up for every year he'd spent unable to touch him. Eventually, Tord's hands moved carefully beneath Tom's legs. He lifted them slowly until they rested against his shoulders.
Tord looked down at him. His eyes were already shining. He didn't say anything while he leaned closer. His lips brushed gently against Tom's inner thigh. Tom felt the kiss more than he heard the quiet breath Tord released against his skin.
Tord closed his eyes as he kissed his body again.
And again.
Each one slower than the last.
"I wish..." His voice broke. Tord swallowed hard, but it did nothing to stop the tears gathering in his eyes. One slipped silently down his cheek, unnoticed, followed by another. "I wish I had been braver." His shoulders began to tremble. He lowered his head, suddenly unable to meet Tom's gaze, as though looking at him would make the words even harder to say.
Tom opened his arms. Tord stared at him as though he didn't quite understand what was being offered. For a moment, he seemed almost lost. Then his expression crumpled, whatever hesitation remained disappeared with it. He moved toward the embrace all at once. Tord lowered himself carefully, gathering Tom against him as though he were afraid of holding too tightly. Arms wrapped around him immediately, pulling him closer. Tord buried his face in his shoulder. Tom's hand moved slowly through his hair, smoothing it back in quiet strokes. He felt Tord's uneven breathing against his skin, each shaky breath gradually beginning to settle as Tom held him.
"I love you more than anything in this world." Tord tightened his arms around him.
"If I had no heart left to give you, I'd still love you." His voice trembled. "If there was nothing inside me but emptiness…"
He lifted his head. His eyes were wet, but he didn't look away.
"…I'd still find a way to fill it with you."
Tord closed his eyes, feeling Tom kiss his wet cheek tenderly, lingering there for a moment before pressing another kiss against the same spot. When Tord opened his eyes, Tom was still looking at him, his expression so impossibly gentle that his heart surrendered completely.
Tom didn't understand every word he said, but he knew him better to recognize the meaning behind them.
Plz treat this as a Monet and don't look too closely. Otherwise you'll see that's very bad.
I messed up Tord's hair. While trying to fix it, some parts turned green and it still looks too red ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽ so if you see random green bits, ignore it. Also, it turned out I hated this art. But since I already posted I might as well post the finished version in case anyone cares.
Again, I made this because of chapter 6 of "Come Back Down To My Knees" aka, my "future Tordtom" fanfic.
Here are some variables :P
Omg it's worse on pc.... That's no way I messed up the colors this bad... Why is Tord so green??
