Three soft, quick knocks come from Skymaeda's front door.
“…Hm?”
It’s been.. Awhile? It feels like it should’ve been some time. Hell, the gaps between something and nothing always feel like forever.
Everyone that’s usually here is gone. That’s… Hm. No, that’s normal. Probably. Christ, why is he still here? Someone’s waiting.
With her limbs feeling heavier than normal, Skymaeda slinks to her (her?) door. She turns the lock, and peaks through the crack of the opened door.
Nagi feels a rush of relief as they hear the hinges creak, and they lean forward a little, meeting the other's gaze through the small opening of the door. Their face brightens at the sight of Skymaeda, happy to know she's still around, and hopefully well, too. "Oh, there you are," they exclaim, their hands clasping together. "Ah, I'm sure it was rude of me to show up interrupted, heh... If now isn't a good time, I can get out of your hair, really."
“Oh- No-no, now is perfectly fine, dear.”
He steps back, holding the door open wider. She quickly glances behind and back to Nagi before stepping back further and smiling politely.
“Would you like to.. Come in? It’d be better to let you in rather than leave you out there, right?”
Nagi perks up at the offer, their grin widening as they slowly step inside. "Thank you. I'm sorry I didn't bring any snacks, I thought about it, but I didn't want to ruin your eating schedule..." They look around, soaking in the details of the room around them. "You have a lovely home, I appreciate you making time for a visit! You have no idea how good it is to see you, again."
"You'll have to tell me how you've been, it's been ages since we last talked... I'm not sure why, but I've been worried about you."
“Mm..? Is that so?”
“Well-I presume it’s normal to be worried about old friends, yes? And please, come this way, doll.”
He turns back and steps through a hallway that leads into one too many doorways. She moves to one of the doors near the far end of the hallway and slips into the room, then peaking back out to where Nagi should be coming from.
Nagi's curiosity is piqued, but they don't ask unnecessary questions, and instead choose to follow, hands politely held behind their back. They can't help but notice how many rooms are in her house, as they patter down the hall, and they have to wonder how many people might live with him... Or if all of them are empty, even. Nagi notices they're falling behind, gaze hardening to see Skymaeda already in the room, and they rush over to the doorway. "I had no idea you lived in such a big house..."
