i relate to breakdown maybe a bit too much… i really wish the show script was kinder to him.

there's also the inexplicable need to pit him against the Breakdown Bully Club (silas and airachnid) for narrative reasons. character writing but like that one heaven / las vegas meme

SHATTERDOME: Used to work in the mines and knows his way around explosives. Approaches things hands-on and comes off as the very picture of patience, until someone really gets under his plating.  Has an arrogant side, but is rather lazy. He'd prefer to stay home and drift into sweet recharge, but somehow always gets involved in Splitwire's shenanigans. Every wild stunt they pull means he's the one spending solar cycles putting them both back together. Despite his relatively smaller size, packs a serious punch. Loyal to a fault, whether he likes it or not.

SPLITWIRE: Once a promising soldier in the Autobot ranks, before the metaphorical waste hit the fan. These days, she's unpredictable, flipping between dispositions so fast it's hard to keep up. Other bots often peg her as cold or dishonest, like she's not actually remorseful of the things she does. She puts on a loud, energetic front, but it's mostly a cover-up for how inward she really is. Thrives on chaos, as long as she's not in the blast radius. It's way more fun to watch it all unfold through the lens of her scope, front-row view and all.
