that moment when your character realizes they’re in love :) feel free to use.
they’re dancing together and character a has been feeling it creep up on them for a while, so when character b slips on air and falls, character a softly thinks oh. i love this person
your character’s friend pulls your character aside around the midway point of your story and says “hey i like them” and then your main character is gripped with such a violent dread that that’s when they realize they’ve been in love the whole time
third character goes “why do you care?” and they just go “because i just do.” “but why?” and then boom accidental confession OR —
third love interest screams it at them and then they’re like oh i guess i do love them haha awkwardddd
character a didn’t know it either, until they were in a screaming argument with character b and they scream “yeah, but i love you!”
it’s something small, the most small thing they’ve done. maybe they gave them a smile across the room, or left a little note on their locker, but the character just thinks yeah. i’m screwed
your main character is going on a walk and thinks of buying something for their love interest and then they’re like oh yeah i definitely love them
they’re talking regularly and character a stops the conversation and goes “wait wait wait. i think… i love you.” and character b is like “what?”
character a is getting nursed back to health when they realize they’re in love with the person nursing them to health— or, that they in fact love someone else
your character has to witness their love interest with someone else and then goes oh.
your character is thinking back to the relationship years later and realizes what real love was now that they’ve lost it
your character visits their love interest’s grave for the first time since their passing
