It's a feeling of frustration about everything that happened and how in the end there was no justice
Did you watch aot? I saw someone unironically comparing Eren to Sasuke and saying Eren killing 80% of humanity and being casual about it is the same as Sasuke saying "yeah...sorry" at the end of Naruto 😭😭😭 it was on Reddit, so I'm sure it was a dudebro. These ugly male incels hatred for Sasuke should be studied at this point...my brother once compared Sasuke and his revolution plan at the end to Hitler...but loves Itachi 🙄 incels are insane
(Lmao did you just call your brother an incel?)
Yeah I watched it! (And I loved it lol idc what anyone saysesrlgjlerg)
Casual…?
Reddit continues to confuse me. In what way was Eren, (or Sasuke for that matter) ‘casual’ about any of it? Unless they're claiming that neither Eren nor Sasuke struggled internally, by default a character's internal struggle can't be 'casual'. Also, what a wild comparison to make…
I did see a comment under an AOT video where someone said "Eren is just another Sasuke in the end" and it had a lot of likes too… and it’s not just the haters that erase all of Sasuke's complexity, even some of his diehard stans are trying to proudly convince each other that all Sasuke wanted to do was kill and get revenge, like, c’mon I dunno what story they’ve been reading but it wasn’t Kishimoto’s ‘Naruto’, that’s for sure. Because Kishimoto's Sasuke has a lot of internal struggle, is complex and opened himself up to learn what he could do to give his life meaning in that world under such circumstances even if he had to sacrifice his 'one and only' and therefore all his emotions and himself entirely in order to achieve it making him such a great character. What Sasuke wanted is everything but ‘casual’- did they not see him scream, yell, get frustrated or cry? Or do they selectively ignore parts that don't suit the way they want to see him because they reduce him to "the emo avenger" and nothing else?
And well, the words he offered Kakashi and Sakura for their sake have nothing to do with what he wanted to achieve. So yeah, he can be casual in that moment because there’s a disconnect anyway.
Meh, surface-level readers ig.
It's not "stupid" revenge
In many other stories, Sasuke's tale of revenge for the sake of his family would be considered correct and commendable.
This is not a petty vendetta. This is the correction of a terrible wrong done to him, his kinsman, and his ancestors. It starts off simply, as his understanding of the crime is simple, but as the threads of history unweave themselves before his horrified gaze, Sasuke's heart becomes consumed by hatred.
But his initial quest; the revenge he sought in an earnest pursuit of justice - that was righteous based on the knowledge he had at the time.
It's ridiculous and disgusting to say he is not justified even in his turning on the village who sacrificed his family for their own sakes.
He literally CANNOT live peacefully while the heinous murderer of his family walks freely. He is obligated by the ghosts of countless ancestors to execute the man who destroyed their lineage.
Not only that... But on a personal level, he could not live with himself being someone who shirks responsibility and runs away from danger. He won't be that helpless little kid ever again, and he is hell bent on proving this to himself and the world.
When he gets his ass handed to him just before leaving Konoha, it shows him just how little his efforts have paid off. How much distance does he have to cross before he can catch up to this man who holds his life in the palm of his hands? He desperately needs to catch up. And this thing he's got going on with team seven just isn't working out...
Worst of all, even these friends of his don't understand and don't care to. They are all quick to dismiss his revenge as something entirely wrong and even ridiculous. How can he now be vulnerable with those who have rejected his very deepest values? Those who claimed to understand yet deny the righteousness of his cause?
I say, Sasuke had no choice but to leave Konoha, if he was going to retain his soul. It's shit that no one trusts him to make his own choices, even if he is acting wild at the time and is only thirteen... But... Considering their way of life, risking their lives daily, and considering his past trauma and the helplessness that surrounded him all his early life... Isn't it the best thing for him to seek out his independence?
Is that so???
What Shape Does Your Pain Take?
For Naruto:
Chains: You have chains, keeping you linked to something you'd rather leave behind. Maybe this is a bad family, traumatic event, toxic relationship... But something's keeping you trapped there, and you don't know how to escape it. You can turn the chain around, to help you instead of trap you... Can't you?
For Sasuke:
A Picture: A picture. A single image reminding you of someone or something you've lost, something you don't want to live without. You can't seem to move on, to accept life has changed, to live again. You're trapped in the picture, in the past. Maybe this was a lost family member or friend, maybe this was a sickness that isn't going away, maybe this was sinking into depression. But you can't help but remember how life was before, how life after will never be the same, and can't help but feel that nothing in the future will be able to fill the hole the past left. Nothing lasts forever... Right?

Give me a Naruto rewrite where Sasuke and Naruto are dating before Sasuke leaves Konoha.
It's way more gutting that Sasuke still decides to leave, even after they've confessed and have been building something. After a heartfelt, "I want to get stronger together with you."
And then Itachi shows up and it proves to Sasuke that love is not enough. That he could have lost Naruto then and was helpless to stop it. So how does he seek to fix this? By killing Naruto ofc. Cause no one can take him if Sasuke kills him first. He is in control. Plus, the mangekyo ofc, which is the reason he will cite, but it's deeper than that.
The plot still moves the same way, but now it's overly clear what is going on between Sasuke and Naruto.
sasuke for the character asks!!
(tysm heeheehee ~)
Favorite thing about Sasuke has to be his drama and his overall attitude. Sasuke does what he wants, regardless of what anyone says. Love that for him.
Least favorite? Just the way they gutted him for B*ruto and ruined his character arc by pretending he was wrong.
Favorite line, I mean... "What I have is not a dream, because I will make it a reality." FIRE. BARS. YES. this line has lived with me for over two decades since I read it all those years ago and remains iconique and amazing.
brOTP: tbh I don't have one. It's hard to imagine a fleshed out relationship for him with muses I don't personally write so idk idk. I'd like him to make friends. One time in a chatroom RP, he strangely made friends with a white Rabbit called Max.
OTP: SNS duh... How anyone can ship him with someone who else when Naruto is right there just baffles me.
nOTP: honestly Sasuke with almost anyone else...
Random headcanon: adult Sasuke smokes a lot of weed and rolls joints with one hand like a pro.
Unpopular opinion: apparently it's unpopular that I think his marriage to s*kura is a sham and an extremely unfortunate situation for them both.
Song I associate with him: (there's a lot hold up)
He would hundred percent listen to this, especially in his Hebi days.
Favorite picture:
Love that moment when the walls come down. When he is broken again after all that time building himself up. It's devastating and real and so very alive. How this sorrow transitions into bitter rage, deeper than ever before. FELT. kill them Sasuke... Do it.
