That latest Akeshu video of yours has me so intrigued, I dunno why but damn I can't stop thinking about it. The main thing on my mind is what on earth happened in the weeks between that first night of Goro capturing Ren and then the next night shown because wow Ren feels like an entirely different person in those scenes so now all I can think is "What happened? What did Goro do to him? Did Ren fight against him? Did Goro get angry? Did he use sweet words to convince Ren? How did Ren's mind break down like this? How far gone is he? Is he at the point of no return? Is anyone besides the thieves searching for Ren? How is Sojiro reacting? Does he believe that whole 'delinquent boy ran away' theory or does he think it's complete bullshit?" All these questions keep swirling around my head. Sorry for such a long message but seriously, kudos to you for making a video bordering on psychological horror because all these unanswered questions are driving me crazy

What happened in the weeks between?
There was lots of time for Akechi to persuade Ren to abandon his friends and become his only. He didn’t use violence. There were times when he got frustrated and had mini outbursts (like the first night), but Goro generally tried to win Ren over with calculated sweetness, numbing physical pleasure, and using Ren’s emotions to his advantage.
For example, Ren was already falling in love with Goro prior to this. They weren’t in a relationship yet, but they were flirting (like in the texts). Indeed, Ren is shocked that Goro is like this and was willing to go so far to have him. But at the same time, he can’t say that he rejects Goro completely cuz Ren still has feelings for him. Goro recognized this and manipulated it.
How did Ren’s mind break down like this?
In the video, Ren makes the decision to <COMPLY> instead of struggle. This is the ill-fated choice. By submitting to Akechi’s will in order to create the perfect chance to escape later, Ren makes himself vulnerable to Akechi’s manipulation. As more time passed, Ren began to wonder, “Am I only pretending to find pleasure in this, or am I actually enjoying it..?” Eventually, he couldn’t tell the difference anymore and just accepted that he wanted Akechi.
How far gone is Ren?
In my opinion, at this point, he is too broken to escape on his own. He is only thinking of being with Akechi. Goro knows this too. That is why the room in the final part is different from the first. When Ren was kidnapped, Goro locked him up in the dark room (the first room) with no windows and no means of escape. But in the later scene, we see that Ren is in Goro’s bedroom. There is nothing preventing him from screaming for help or jumping out of the window. Yet, Goro isn’t worried about any of that happening because Ren no longer wants to leave.
Basically, now, it is up to the other PTs to save him. However, even if they do manage to rescue him, it will take some time for Ren to fully return to his former self, I think.
Is anyone besides the Thieves searching for Ren?
I was actually going to include some talk in the chat about the other side characters, especially Mishima. He is helping Futaba gather intel from the city and web. But adding all of that would’ve made the chat even longer and it was already over 2 mins, so I decided to cut it. ^^; So yes, other characters are helping the PTs search for Ren.
The PTs do suspect Akechi the most, especially since he was the last person with Ren before he disappeared, but like Makoto said in the chat, they don’t understand why the authorities haven’t made any moves if Ren has been caught. They don’t realize that Akechi took Ren for personal reasons.
Sojiro definitely doesn’t believe the “runaway” explanation. He is helping the PTs as well. Oh! Btw, if the PTs were to successfully find Ren, Morgana would be the key. Although he doesn’t appear in the chat (cuz he’s a cat lol), he has vital information about the relationship between Ren and Akechi. Obviously, since he spent the most time with Ren, he noticed that the two were getting close and Akechi’s interest in Ren was growing. Unfortunately, Mona just hasn’t put two and two together yet.
