I think that it's super cool (and super unhinged) that we can already come up with so many theories in regards to Tensei and his connection to Seimei. My brain is still reeling. Like, siblings maybe? Something else???

My mind is currently entertaining the idea of Seimei splitting his own soul before reincarnating, hence calling back to the Kyoto arc while also explaining why we see Seimei's soul in different spots. And it'd make sense of the "like you but not" line, and it'd be interesting if this was a case of Haru being the reincarnation that has the humanity + the power while Tensei has the youkaihood but not the power.

He supposedly appeared 1000 years ago out of nowhere and hasn't displayed any youkai powers yet, but he's immune to Haru's power but doesn't seem to be acknowledged as a god. His whole thing is manipulating others into playing out "shows" and have things play out the way he wants. His name also literally means reincarnation and has the same kanji as Saturn which is asociated with Seimei like, hello? This all makes my eyebrows raise off my face.

I don't think it would've been far off for Seimei to choose to give specific parts of himself to do certain things. Haru needs to be human with cunning and power strong enough to protect himself, but not have the clairvoyance or youkai/kitsune-side that also shaped Seimei into who he was. Haru needs blinding sincerity to be a bridge between humans and youkai and he needs to have the infectious enthusiasm and will to live through all the unknowns in life.

It'd maybe also explain parts of the Kyoto arc? Like Haru's soul needing to have grown before the gods tried taking it. Haru's personal growth = his soul growing stronger (and more whole) was due to the fact that Seimei didn't have his whole soul reincarnate into Haru in the first place.

If this theory is true, then maybe its Seimei's clairvoyance piece that ended up in Yomi (which makes sense based off Seimei's dialogue in that scene back in Kyoto). Seimei needed that part of him to die.

Tensei could be a lot of possibilities, I could be so so wrong, I'm just excited that we have this much information to work with. I don't know I'm just yapping into the void LOL

why would ranmaru thinks seimei was still alive despite literally saw his corpse not to mention he was CREMATED. im wondering if the original plan had him killed off without anyone or specifically ranmaru's knowledge and so everyone led to believe hes still alive somehow.

but with the way seimei is honestly i understand ranmaru, maybe seimei came back from the ashes because of course he can. or maybe ranmaru knows that his physical body is gone but he believes haruaki is seimei's reincarnation that still retain his past memories and thats why he was suprised when haruaki called himself just "his descendant"
