I love your blogs. Honestly, they make my day. But I have a question. Is it OK if I use one of them in my Jalim fic? Inspiration struck, and starting my new one is harder than I thought, but your 20 questions one rlly hit me and I was like eureka!
. . . Kinda going through a bit of actual brain-rot. #writers block. Who knew writing a whole fanfiction in just 2 weeks was exhausting.
That's you ^^^ lol

Jason: Salim is the kind of person that makes everyone think about them all the time, even when youâre asleep, right?
Rachel: I donât think of Salim all the time
Eric: I donât dream about Lieutenant Othman
Nick: When you say everyone, do you mean yourself?
Nick: We need to get through this locked door. Eric, give me your credit card.
Eric: Here.
Nick, pocketing it: Jason, break down the door.
Matchmaker part 2
Questions, More Questions, Matchmaker
Salim wasnât sure whether he was annoyed or secretly grateful that Zain went all the way to Camp Slayer to find Jason. It was such a big risk and Zain could have been captured or hurt. Then again, Salim had been thinking of Jason and missing him, and Zain must have picked up on that.
It was still a little surreal having the American in his living room talking with his son. Salim listened to their conversation as he set about making tea for Zain and coffee for himself and Jason.
âSo your dad told me youâre going to university in London.â
âYes. Iâll be studying mythology. I can hardly wait! The House of Ashes proves that some of those stories are true!â
âYou look just like your dad when you get excited,â Jason noted with a tone of amusement. âYou shoulda seen him when we were down there. We found this weird-ass communication device and his whole face lit up when he talked about how it worked.â
âJason,â Zain began. He was quiet for a moment before continuing: âWhy did you and Baba separate?â The question made Salimâs heart skip a beat. His son had picked up on a lot, it seemed.
âBecause he woulda been treated as a fuckinâ prisoner of war. I couldnât let that happen.â Salim was listening with such focus that the kettle whistling startled him. He hurried to take it off and pour the tea. The two had fallen silent and when he joined them he found them sitting on pillows waiting. Salimâs eyes gravitated to Jasonâs face first before moving on to his sonâs.
âSit here, Baba,â Zain instructed, pointing to a pillow next to Jason. If Salim didnât know any better, he would think his son was doing this on purpose. He sat and handed out the drinks. Jason took one sip and nearly spat it back out again.
âGoddamn, that is some strong shit.â He took another sip anyway, of course. Salim smiled fondly and sipped his own coffee. âYou got a real cozy home here,â Jason spoke up. âVery warm and light.â He leaned close enough that his shoulder nudged Salimâs. âIâm glad I came by.â
âSo am I.â Their eyes met and Salim felt a pleasant thrill move through his body. Jason was so handsome⊠He blinked and turned his gaze away.
âIâm going to start on dinner!â Zain announced, rising to his feet. The two men watched as he headed into the kitchen.
âYou get the impression heâs tryinâ to leave us alone?â Jason wondered.
âYes, that was exactly my thought. Heâs never volunteered to make dinner before.â Salim took another sip of coffee to hide some of his embarrassment. How obvious must he have been for Zain to orchestrate all this?
âHeâs got this idea that you and IâŠâ Jason trailed off and when Salim looked at him, he saw the younger man was blushing. âWas he wrong?â Jason asked nervously. Salimâs heart skipped another beat. Without meaning to he leaned in a little closer.
He had been terrified while in the House of Ashes, but this was another kind of fear entirely. His hand trembled as he rested it over Jasonâs.
âNo. He wasnât wrong.â
Painting of Jason
Salim: If there are trees, then you are not alone
Nick: I cant tell if this is supposed to be something encouraging or ominous warning
Rachel: Pick your poison
Eric: Technically, anything can be poisonous if it's in large enough quantities. I choose water
Rachel:
Jason: When I was a kid, my sister told me the little paper strips in chocolate kisses were edible. I ate them for like a year.
Eric: they are edible
Jason: wait really??
Nick: why would you believe that again
Jason: If you drink the blue liquid from a magic eight ball you can see the future, trust me my friend Joey did it once and said he was gonna die and then he did.
Jason: I have good news and bad news, which do you want to hear first?
Salim: ..good
Jason: it is very UNLIKELY that I will ever do this again
Jason: if things go wrong I just wanted to sa-
Nick: If youâre gonna say that youâve always been secretly gay for Salim , everyone just kind of assumed.
