Hello, sorry to bother you... It may be too late but I just found the page, so... (≖⌣≖ ;) How do I get one, or at least how do I get involved in the project ? Komaeda is my very favorite character and I find what you did is amazing ! (°´ ∇ `° ) That's why I'd really like to get one of these fanbooks ! Or maybe participate in the creation of a 2nd volume ? I dunno... I feel stupid for finding it just now. (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) Pardon me again. I'm still hoping for your response. ❤

Sorry, this project is definetly over and done with. This tumblr is kept more as a memorial thing than anything. Thank you for your interest though!

I figured I’d finally post this!! Because I keep forgetting to…. This is my entry for the komaedafanbookproject that I participated in last year!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR INVITING ME 8A8 I HAD A LOT OF FUN WORKING ON THIS even though there was equal amount of pain involve haha I actually lost all my progress at one point because the file corrupted orz;;; not to mention WORKING ON THE BACKGROUND….

Anyway I could continue ranting on and on about the painful process I went through to make this picture but this post is already long enough (´д｀);;;; SO I’LL JUST CUT TO THE CHASE… I’ve been waiting to drop this bomb for a while explaining the idea behind this illustration.

Daffodil have many meanings in many different cultures; regard, happiness, good fortune, new beginnings, deceit and even unrequited love just to name a few, many of which could probably be applied to Komaeda’s character in different cases. But one meaning in particular – hope – can be applied to daffodils as well.

Wanna know another fun, tasty timbit? Giving someone a single daffodil or if there is only one blooming daffodil in a bunch can be considered a sign of bad luck or an omen of misfortune.

This illustration is supposed to take place at the beginning of the game, before Monokuma makes an appearance on the island. I wanted to paint a tranquil picture of Komaeda holding a single blooming daffodil; a chance at something else – happiness that could have been and also foreshadowing the unfortunate incidences that followed, the hope that Komaeda searches for and the reality of his life.

Well… that was the idea anyway ^q^;;. Thanks to everyone who purchased a copy! I can’t wait to see everyone’s contribution 8u8 *waits patiently by mailbox*

i still haven't received my fanbook, should i be worried? i live in canada if that has anything to do with it. thanks!

Hi there! It’s been about 3 weeks since all the books have been shipped from USA, ideally most people should have received their copies within this time if they live relatively close. I happen to live in Canada too! In my experience Canada Post hasn’t been the most reliable…I’d say give it one more week, and if you still haven’t received your book, please message us again with your order number or full address and we’ll gladly replace the book for you! (OH and check your order to make sure you didn’t write down the wrong address by accident? That happens quite frequently!). Thanks for your patience!!

I honestly just found this page and I thought this was a wonderful idea! But I wanted to double check and ask if there would be a second release of the book or if it's all over now?

The chances of a second release are very low at the moment!

oh but what about storenvy is bad ? is it the fact that if you don't visit the actual store link itself, the seller gets lesser money ?

There's some better posts out there but I don't have the time to look for it right now. That, the marketplace issue and the implementation of stripe and the whole "holding your payments hostage till you make an account in a site that's only available in very limited countries" thing is kind of BS and scammy as hell. So not worth the effort in my opinion

Hm...with storenvy as it is...I think this is really a one-time thing. There might be some spare copies in the future but there also might not!

I just got my copy of the book today, and I couldn't be happier with it. With all of the misinterpretations of komaeda on both sides that are floating around, it's really... refreshing, in a way, to see him represented in a nice, well rounded way, especially with such fantastic art. I'm super grateful to everyone who participated. My only complaint is that I'm too nervous to cut out the paperchild. He's so cute and I don't wanna mess it up ;;
