the thing about the f*mboy discourse “let gnc men have their own language to describe themselves you dumb tr*nnies” is that

f*mboy was not coined by gnc men to describe themselves, as their term. it was coined as a disparaging term for an “effeminate man”

and, importantly, you must consider that this is exactly how the same people who coined it and used it view trans women – as men. so naturally, trans women get called it way more

even if we didn’t, here’s the thing: the whole premise of being an insult is the comparison to another, “lesser” class of person than men. having it used against you doesn’t change that, in the same way that someone calling women wh*res doesn’t mean they can reclaim that slur if they aren’t sex workers

and if you really cared about like, reclaiming it? you wouldn’t be screaming at trans women online for expressing discomfort with it. every defense of it that I see is just openly transmisogynistic and used as an excuse to hurl abuse at trans women for having the audacity to say “this slur that has personally harmed me makes me uncomfortable actually, could you use literally anything else”

and then you’re like “you shrill tr*nnies are sooo unreasonable, tr*p and f*mboy and sh*male and s*ssy aren’t slurs, mind your own business and stop oppressing men”
