last month my brother, a life long touchscreen hater, had to get his first smartphone because he couldn't pay his rent without one since his bank website no longer allows him to use his personal card reader (given by his bank) to make payments. most public transports outside the main city Require that you use the App to get tickets. the other day I went to a brunch place that wouldn't let me order food without going through the App.

I personally think smartphones have ups and downs, and I won't lie I really like having Small Games in my pocket at all times but the way smartphones have become a necessity/requirement to live in society is so fucking annoying and honestly fucked up.

so they get back to erid and barely any other eridians have those markings (and if so, not as many) and Grace is like

I don't have a Rocky to force me to sleep, so I finished(?) their impromptu yap to nap sesh at 2am lol. Grace probably fell asleep while talking nerd stuff to Rocky, and Rocky is just kinda patiently watching him when after a few hours, Grace starts mumbling and shifting around.

I like to imagine that sometimes Rocky won't wake Grace up from nightmares right away because he wants to gather data on what they're about since Grace usually refuses to talk about them afterwards or tells him not to worry. But Grace talks in his sleep and that is very useful.

He'd probably piece together pretty easily that Grace is having a nightmare that they failed during their mission to Adrian, and he'll either wake him up or watch as Grace jolts awake from one of those dreams where you feel like you're actually falling.

Obsessed with the moment where Grace is trying to make sense of what he is seeing when he meets Rocky. I thought that moment would fit well with the way I draw things. I love to break things down into abstract shapes. These shapes are recognizable as Rocky but at the same time you can't really tell what he is. I am making the viewer take the role of Grace here.
