A headhunter near Konsa in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in India, very near the border with Burma. At this remote and volatile part of the world until about 40 years ago when someone killed another person it was customary to cut off the dead person’s head and bring it back as a trophy to their home, or give it to the village chief. Headhunters, people who have practiced that, have tattoos marked on their foreheads. A young Tibetan Buddhist Pilgrim walking for more than six months to reach Jokhang Temple in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. He was the youngest one in a group of about ten pilgrims walking over the unforgiving mountains of Western Sichuan in China. They only had small back packs with them.
