RM: “Since I don’t know when I’ll see you again, I’ll yell out loud once: ARMY! this is our last award ceremony of the 2010s and our first of the 2020s. it’s thanks to you who stay and watch over us that gave us this huge honor. thank you. I was quite happy last year. worked hard, rested hard, loved hard together with you. I remember the day exactly 10 years ago when I came to Sinsa-dong in the spring of 2010 after shaving my head and met bang Sihyuk PD-nim for the first time. I think ever since then, for 10 years, our 2010s were completely covered by the name BTS. and now it’s 2020. I hope that the 2020s become a decade that the name ARMY completely covers [alongside BTS] as well. moving forward, we’ll write this book filled with your name. Thank you. and I have one last thing I want to say. luckily for us, we’ve received lots of help from many people, and through lots of luck, we are able to be in this spot receiving the spotlight and saying what we want to say. but honestly, there are a lot of artists who are not or cannot, who are in places that can’t be seen, sincerely making music and working hard to perform. 2020…the 2020s, I hope, is a decade in which their resonance, efforts, and sincerity are fair, just, and do not go in vain. the public mass here and those watching, I hope this reaches you. I hope that the wrong aspects of the 2010s end in the 2010s, and the 2020s become a better year, a better decade. I too am always thankful for and love the many inspirational artists who inspire me. and the staff who help us, the members, and of course, finally our ARMY, i love you so much. THANK YOU!”
