Oh, relax. Last time I checked I’ve never made one, so that’s a plus. We can all save ourselves the trouble from thinking that’ll ever happen. My dad has a way with words, plus he’s been bringing you up since young for baseball. He always did chew me out for choosing soccer. I can’t say I had the same realization as you, I guess I just got tired of the scene as well. Plus, the show did a shit job about my mom and all. But I’m glad that mess it over.

I mean, even though we're leaving, you and I are still going to be tied to it sort of, 'cause Daniel's still got another year. No, and thank fucking God for that. I don't even want to consider that being a possibility. When we went to see him like, all those months ago, we talked about baseball sometime when you weren't around and he made me realize that I can't have both the show and baseball, so I chose.

I mean it sucked towards the end, but I can’t say I really regret the ride. I have to admit for quite some time, the show was the highlight of my week days and getting paid to party was cool. But you’re right, not exactly grown but not as young anymore. Other factors, huh?

Nah, it was fucking cool while it lasted. I mean, it's kind of weird being considered a 'celebrity' when we don't even do anything special, you know? We spend our parents money and we let cameras film us getting wasted, and somehow that means we get invited to award shows. But, it's time to start thinking about the future. It was your dad who really give me the kick to quit the show, actually. Yeah. Other factors.

I’m itching to burn it like in the movies. I feel strangely sentimental about it nonetheless, though. Can’t believe we spent half of our teenage lives on it.

That would be nice. Burning every episode from people's minds would also be ideal. Yeah, I know, me too. Sort of. The producers are still trying to get me to reconsider, but -- there's no way I'm renewing my contract. Avery and Luke are growing up with cameras around, and -- well, you know, there were other deciding factors in my decision to stop.

Something in her had clicked, from the moment he had told her to wait to when her eyes locked to his. It was hard to erase him from her daily life, in more ways than one because not seeing him and not talking to him had been one thing. But for her, traces of him were everywhere. In things she couldn’t quite register, he was a normalcy in her life, he was a constant. Naturally once she felt his lips meet hers, a spark ignited and all those cliche chick flicks she forced him to watch with her were becoming more so relevant and her arms wrapped around his neck in that god awful, cramped closet.

And she felt; like Kristina. The one who waited up nights dreaming about a guy who would sweep her off her feet, protect her from the bad and just cherish her. Maybe she had looked in all the wrong places but Dakota, her constant, she could never picture liking her in that way. So she kissed back with equal force, as if fighting for dominance. Kristina was stubborn in many ways and she would be so right now as well, And alright, maybe, just maybe she bit his bottom lip just to get a rise out of him. But the closet was warm enough as it was, why doesn’t she just add a little more heat to it anyways?

Kota made a heated, helpless sound when she kissed him back, every 'almost' moment he'd had in the past eight years coming forth like a tidal wave, capsizing any hold he had on his self-control. He felt like his heart was beating out of his chest, giving away his rapid heart rate like morse code. If he focused hard enough, he could hear his younger siblings rummaging about upstairs, shouting out their names, and maybe this was a bit unsafe, to be kissing Kristina when he was supposed to be watching them, because how could he focus on anything else but her?

He went through life satisfied with what came him his way, but he wasn't sure if a simple kiss from Kristina would ever completely sate him. He was pleasantly surprised when she nipped at his lip, urging him to push the kiss further, eagerly welcoming the warm heat of her mouth, reveling in the slickness of her tongue against Dakota's. He took a step forward, and then another, only needing a few until he'd push her back flush against the wall. He didn't have the mind to think about what this meant, the implications behind her actions that she felt the same way, or maybe she saw this as something fun, an interesting, added adult portion to an otherwise kid-friendly night. Dakota didn't have the energy to care about anything else in that moment but her, and the way she felt beneath his fingertips.

She could’ve easily blamed the close proximity for the flush that creeped up her neck, not the fact that his hand was on her waist because it was impossible, downright insane to think of it as anything else. It was probably the fact that she hadn’t seen him in awhile, that had to be it. But she knew it in the pit of her stomach that no matter how much convincing she does, she would have to come to terms with what was really lying in between them,She rolled her eyes at his attempt to joke, “Only on my spare time, of course.” She cocked her head to the side, which made her shift slightly on her right leg, before she stumbled a bit forward into his chest. 

Looking up to him, one hand supporting her weight on the wall and other still on his chest. “Sorry, it’s a little cramped.” She mustered, before noting how quiet it was outside. “I should probably find another spot, doesn’t sound like they’re around this closet.” Kristina knew she was just looking for excuses at this point but she could hardly find it in her to care. All she focused on was how close Dakota was to her and she could practically smell his cologne which was mixed with his regular musk and it filled her nose and she wanted nothing more than to be engulfed in the scent. Yeah, she definitely needed to get out of this damned closet.

He was about to scream. His heart lodged itself in his throat as each moment passed, each time he heard her breath in and out and he closed his eyes and took a deep breath himself, trying to re-establish some semblance of normalcy. "Huh, maybe I should come to this closet more often then, if I have a chance of seeing you around." He knew he was flirting at this point, but he couldn't care when the familiar scent of her shampoo was permeating the entire space and invading each and every one of his senses until he wasn't even sure that he really felt her hand on his chest, or maybe he was just imagining it.

"No, no, don't worry about it, it's fine." He paused when she made a move to go -- and it's not that he expected her to stay forever, it's just that he expected her to stay forever. "Wait," he blurted out before he could think about it. It was silent for ten seconds, and he was almost aware of the awkwardness of the situation, but in those ten seconds he decided that he was almost twenty-three fucking years old. He didn't want to waste anymore time pining after her, he'd been doing it since he was fifteen. If she didn't feel the same, well, tough shit, he supposed. There were plenty of girls he'd have no problem using as a rebound. He brought both hands up to cup her jaw, a gentle touch to treat her like the delicate thing he couldn't help but see her as sometimes, despite knowing how headstrong and stubborn and what a pain in his ass she could be sometimes. He ducked his head, letting his lips over centimeters from hers for a few moments so she could give him time to push him away if that was what she wanted, before eagerly closing the distance between them, his brown eyes fluttering shut as he smooth his hands down her neck and over her arms to settle back on her narrow waist.
