Today I woke up at 2 AM. Instead of falling back asleep my brain decided to conjure up these images which haunted my mind palace until properly expelled
Me, accumulating worldly possessions: this is awesome!
Me, moving worldly possessions: this blows!
Y'know how they say a child writes the best poetry before they learn what poetry is "supposed" to look like? I think a visual artist makes the best visual art before they learn how well it would sell if they made an enamel pin of a possum saying "be gay do crimes"
If they hate then let them hate and watch the money pile up

I appreciate the sentiment but I don't get all those "we made it to the longest night of the year! the light will start returning soon! it's all uphill from here & we're halfway there!" posts because like. Oct-Dec is the easier half of Winter. Jan-Apr is way harder. there's no big holidays or decorations, everyone is kind of over the whole Cozy Hygge Sweaters & Cocoa vibe so they're just tired & restless instead, and the whole thing is so drawn out & uneventful that it feels like it lasts 10x longer

I relate this to a… WORRYING degree.

i am enjoying eating bread here in the big city. thank you for the bread. i tried cooking it in a toaster… that made it become toast. isn’t that interesting?
in 2026 DO NOT ask yourself whether your art is GOOD
instead ask:
is it SINCERE
was it CATHARTIC
was it FUN TO MAKE
is it MADE BY ME
and don't forget to stay silly
Taking pictures of a black cat is like.. here’s my nothing… petting my nothing… my nothing looks so cute today
