the apartment was dark by the time katsuki had unlocked the front door. 11:35 to be exact.
he rolled his sore shoulders as he stepped inside, boots thudding against the hardwood floor before he kicked them off by the entrance of your shared penthouse. every muscle in his body ached. another twelve-hour shift. another villain that refused to stay down. another stack of paperwork and meetings waiting for him tomorrow morning.
"...i'm home." he said, grunting and making his way inside.
usually, he'd be greeted by the smell of dinner, your voice from the living room or even the sound of your singing.
however, today..nothing. this silence was heavy.
too heavy, for him, after his shift.
katsuki frowned, as he spoke out your name.
"...y/n?"
you emerged from the living room a second later. arms folded tightly across your chest. still wearing your work top.
your expression alone told him everything. that you had been waiting for him.
"...you're late." you muttered, making your way to the kitchen.
he glanced at the clock hung on the wall.
11:37 p.m.
"...yeah." he muttered, stepping fully into the kitchen-living room area.
"you said you'd be home by eight." you told him, as calm as possible.
"something came up." he said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"katsuki, there is always something coming up with you, doesnt it?"
he sighed. "please, i'm tired."
"so am i."
you didn't raise your voice. but his tone somehow made it worse.
"...i'm exhausted too, katsuki."
he dropped his duffel bag onto the floor.
"it's hero work, you know that fully well, its a part of my job that stuff can just randomly come up without my control."
"i know it's hero work." you said, rolling your eyes, and dropping your arms by your side.
"then what's the problem?"
your laugh was quiet. disbelieving.
"...you really don't see it?"
he stayed silent.
you shook your head.
"of course you don't." you walked past him toward the kitchen. the dinner you'd made hours ago still sat untouched. cold. you hadn't eaten either.
"...i kept waiting, katsuki. i always do," you began, looking towards the dinner table, his eyes followed that trail, then back at you. "i didnt want to eat without you, and i didnt want to leave you hungry."
you spoke without meeting his gaze. "then eight became nine, then ten, and then i realized for the first time in days that i dont even know why i bothered, bothered waiting."
your fingers tightened around the edge of the counter.
katsuki rubbed at the bridge of his nose. "i texted you."
"once."
"i was busy."
"you've been 'busy' for three weeks, straight, are there no other heros around or something?"
he felt irritation beginning to crawl beneath his skin.
"what excatly do you want me to do?"
your eyes snapped to his.
"i dont know, maybe be here, for me, for yourself and us, you know? maybe not get consumed by your job, i havent seen you properly for the last week."
silence from his end.
your voice cracked. "just-, just be here."
"i am here."
"yeah, now. after nearly midnight, after another cancelled dinner, date, promise. another promise you couldnt keep. i know your job, i understand that you have responsibilities,"
he clicked his tongue.
"but you cannot make time for your personal life when i have asked you multiple times?" you ended your statement.
"i can't just leave in the middle of a mission."
"i'm not asking you to."
"then what are you asking?"
"i'm asking you to stop acting like this job is the only thing in your life!"
the words echoed through the apartment.
katsuki stared at you.
"careful."
"no." you took a shaky breath. "i'm tired of being careful, or that i am okay with this, and everyday i wonder if you are going to come home."
he lowered his gaze for a bit, clearly thinking about what you said.
"every time my phone rings late at night, my heart drops, i gotta check every news report, every channel, every log, every emergency alert. do you know what that feels like."
your eyes had started to water.
"and then you finally come home, when i can finally be selfish and have you to myself, you are here already thinking about tomorrow,"
he looked away. "it's my job, you knew that before we got together."
"i know." you whispered to him.
"people need me."
"i know." you repeated.
"i can't just stop."
"i know!" your voice finally broke.
"i know all of that, katsuki."
"...but what about us?" silence. long and painful.
he didn't have an answer. because there wasn't one.
"i- i am trying, okay?" he finally muttered.
"are you?"you asked quietly.
"or are you just surviving until the next mission?" something inside him snapped.
"the hell do you want from me?!"
you flinched.
he noticed immediately. and hated himself for it.
but the words were already out.
"i break my damn back every day, i'm out there risking my life, and i come home just to get yelled at?" he snapped.
your shoulders slowly slumped. "that's not what i'm doing."
"isn't it?" you looked at him for what felt like forever.
then, you nodded once. it was almost to yourself. "i think we both need to cool off."
you grabbed your jacket from the chair. katsuki frowned.
"where are you going?" he asked, his shoulders relaxing.
"out." you stated plainly.
"it's almost midnight."
"i know."
"y/n."
"i'm not breaking up with you."
you slipped your shoes on. "i just don't want us to say something we'll regret." your hand rested on the doorknob. "i'll come back later."
the door opened. cool night air drifted inside. "i love you." those three words came quietly. almost hopefully.
katsuki being his usual stubborn self, he looked away, still too angry. "yeah."
you laughed to yourself at that, it wasn't the answer you wanted. it wasn't the answer he wanted either.
but the door had clicked shut. and the apartment became painfully, unbearably quiet.
for the next 30 minutes, the apartment remained silent. it felt like forever.
katsuki sat exactly where you had left him.
"tch" he dragged a hand down his face before letting out a slow breath. "that woman" he muttered under his breath.
he wanted to call you. he really did. but the argument still lingered in his chest. the irritation. the frustration. the confusion. his love for you. the feeling that no matter what he said, it would've been the wrong thing.
instead, he made himself dinner. he was starving.
or rather, he reheated the dinner you'd made hours ago. the microwave hummed quietly.
he looked down at the dinner table to notice the two plates, from when you had set the table. forks, glasses, even his favorite soda and hot sauce bottle were placed where he always reached for it.
you'd really expected him home. he swallowed the lump in his throat.
after eating, he decided to take a shower, to feel anew, after his shift and his talk. showering worked like magic for him, rinsing the grim and guilt off of him.
he showered. hot water beat against sore muscles. he washed his hair, rinsed, then foamed his hair again, then rinsed, then he scrubbed his arms, chest and back. his mind refused to shut up.
"just be here.", "what about us?" , "i love you."
"...fuck." he braced both hands against the shower wall. why hadn't he just answered?
it would've taken two damn seconds.
"i love you too." he'd thought it.
he just hadn't said it.
five minutes later, he stopped out wearing nothing more than sweatpants and a black t-shirt.
his hair was still damp. he grabbed his phone from the kitchen counter.
no new messages from you.
he frowned. fair enough. he'd deserved that. he unlocked his phone.
typed your name in the message app.
me: come home.
he stared. deleted it. typed again.
me: let's talk when you get back.
deleted that too.
"dammit."
why was talking with you harder than fighting villains?
the television switched on mostly to drown out the silence.
some late-night variety show played in the background while he absent-mindedly dried his hair with a towel. he barely paid attention.
until the screen suddenly changed.
bright red banners flashed across the bottom.
BREAKING NEWS
the television presenter spoke quickly.
"we're interrupting our scheduled programming due to reports of a large-scale villain attack in central musutafu."
katsuki looked up immediately.
camera footage filled the screen. smoke. sirens. people running.
flames climbing the sides of buildings. the firefighters trying to shut down the fire.
the reporter continued.
"the villain attack appears to have begun inside the city's largest shopping district. multiple buildings have suffered severe structural damage, including the central shopping mall. now currently reporting 2 dead and 9 injured."
katsuki's stomach dropped.
footage of the mall. that was only fifteen minutes from your office.
his phone vibrated. once. twice. three times.
he grabbed it.
new notifications:
red riot
icy hot
pinky
another vibration. another. another.
one from his sidekick, one from midoriya, and one from his assistant.
he barely glanced at them. his eyes caught something else.
your name.
his breathing stopped. he opened it immediately.
y/n ❤️: katsuki.
please answer.
i'm inside the mall.
i can't get out.
his heart slammed against his ribs. he started to panic. then another message came in.
part of the ceiling collapsed.
there are so many people that are trapped.
there's smoke everywhere.
i can't find the exit anymore. its too dark, i cant see anything.
another message.
please.
please come find me.
"...no." he muttered to himself, in disbelief.
another emergency alert echoed through the apartment. his agency.
all available heroes immediately respond. he was already moving.
boots. gauntlets. hero costume. the whole pack.
everything happened on instinct.
his hands shook so violently he almost dropped one of his grenade bracers.
"...please..."
he didn't even realize he'd said it aloud.
"...please be okay."
the apartment door slammed behind him hard enough to rattle the walls.
he'd never moved so fast in his life.
the closer he got, the worse it became.
entire streets had been evacuated. ambulances lined every corner. taking in injured, so far 20 injured and 4 dead, he had overheard. firefighters taking out as many fires as they can can.
police barricades, blocking the street from every way, evacuating who can be evacuated.
smoke blackened the night sky. the heat from the burning mall could be felt from across the street. chunks of concrete still crashed from the upper floors every few seconds.
people screamed names. looking for family. friends. children.
heroes sprinted in every direction.
katsuki's eyes searched frantically.
not for villains, not for casualties, for you.
"bakugou!"
kirishima grabbed his shoulder the second he arrived.
"dude! where the hell have you been?"
"kirishima, she's in there." he whispered, pointing at the building.
kirishima froze.
"who is?" he questioned loudly.
"y/n."
everything on kirishima's face changed.
"shit, man go, GO! me and todoroki will deal with this bullshit."
"kirishima, im counting on you"
katsuki didn't wait. he shoved past the barricade. a police officer shouted after him.
another hero reached for his arm.
he blasted the pavement beneath his feet.
the explosion launched him over the line of emergency crews. straight toward the collapsing mall. he didn't care who yelled after him.
he didn't care about protocol. he didn't care about the orders. the only thing repeating inside his head was your last message.
"please come find me."
he blasted himself in the air, didnt even bother landing, he then blasted through a shattered second-floor window instead, glass scattering around him as smoke immediately filled his lungs. he lowered his eyemask.
he looked outside, and spotted Mina ashido.
he yelled her name from the second floor, she quickly looked up, that was her sign to follow him up. she hopped on some of the nearby broken down cars and made her way to him.
katsuki looked around. the mall barely resembled the place he'd walked through hundreds of times before. storefronts had been reduced to twisted metal. mannequins lay broken across the floor. sprinklers rained endlessly from the damaged ceiling, mixing with ash until the ground became slick beneath his boots.
every few seconds, another section of the building groaned.the sound made his stomach twist. it wasn't going to stay standing much longer.
"mina.." he muttered. she looked up at him.
"shes here, we need to act fast."
she nodded, melting the first barrier of rocks.
they quickly escaped, his voice echoed through the empty corridors, yelling your name. mina quickly running behind him.
nothing.
only the crackling of flames answered him.
he forced himself forward. he handed the hero behind him a mask.
another explosion somewhere deeper inside shook the entire structure. dust rained from above. a support beam crashed down behind him, blocking the hallway he'd just come through.
"dammit."
mina found people first, an elderly couple trapped beneath a display shelf, a teenager with a broken arm, a little girl crying for her mother.
every instinct he'd trained for years screamed at him to stop, to help save them, to prioritize whoever he could reach first. that is his job as a hero.
and he did.
he pulled debris away, as mina helped the elderly couple out of the rubble.
"mina.. take the kid and the mom" she nodded, caring the kid on her back, and the mom in her arms as she quickly ran back where she came from and hopped down effortlessly, like a hero should and delivered them to an empty ambulance.
katsuki quickly following behind, landing safely on the ground with the elderly woman in his arm and the teenager on his back. then the pink hero hopped in one again to save the man left.
quickly, after they had guided survivors, they went back in.
every second felt stolen. every second felt like it belonged to you instead. they continued their run. both screaming your name.
"hero!" someone grabbed his arm, "please save me" a kid said, from under the rubble.
he pulled free. "mina, handle him, ill find her myself."
she nodded, carrying the kid in her arms and running towards the broken window.
his phone buzzed. barely any signal. one new message.
his hands shook as he opened it.
y/n ❤️: i can hear people outside.
i don't know where i am.
it's getting harder to breathe.
timestamp:
six minutes ago.
his voice cracked. "just hold on." he launched himself over another collapsed escalator. the lower floor had taken the worst of it. concrete pillars leaned at impossible angles. the emergency lights flickered weakly before dying altogether. darkness swallowed everything.
you were right, it was hard as fuck to see.
"y/n!" he shouted again. louder this time. his heart pounded. "answer me!"
nothing.
"please" his voice sounded unfamiliar. small and desperate.
"answer me."
then a very faint sound was heard from a far.
very faintly
"katsuki?"
he froze. his head snapped toward the sound.
"y/n?!"
"i'm here" it came again. weaker. but definitely yours.
relief hit him so hard his knees almost gave out. "keep talking!"
"babe, i can't see anything, its really scary."
his chest tightened painfully. "don't move." he followed your voice until the hallway ended.
a collapsed support wall blocked the entire passage. massive slabs of concrete had folded in on themselves, sealing off whatever was on the other side.
"dammit!" he pressed both hands against the rubble.
"y/n! can you hear me?"
"yeah" you answered weakly.
"are you hurt?" there was a pause. "i don't think so"
another tremor ran through the building. pieces of concrete shifted overhead. you whimpered. "katsuki"
"hey."
he forced his voice to stay steady. "look at me, babe"
"i can't" you answered, but it was no time for jokes.
"then listen to me."
he rested one hand against the cracked wall between you. "i'm getting you out." "okay?"
"okay"
he examined the debris. too unstable to climb. too thick to move by hand. there was only one option.
and he hated it.
"y/n."
"yeah?"
"i need you to back up as far as you can."
"why?"
"i'm blasting through."
"will it work?"
"yeah."
he lied without hesitation.
"i promise, i promise im getting you out."
you trusted him.
he heard you slowly shuffle backwards over broken concrete.
"is this enough?" you yelled with all of your remaining abilities.
"a little more, my love."
another few steps.
"now?"
"yeah." he raised one gauntlet. his breathing slowed.
just enough force to break the barrier. not enough to bring the whole ceiling down. he'd done calculations like this a thousand times before. he has done this before. he could do this. he had to.
"cover your head, do not panic"
"okay."
"...ready?"
"ready?" he swallowed.
"i'm coming." the explosion tore through the corridor. the wall fractured. chunks of concrete burst apart. dust exploded into the air.
for one brief, shining moment, some light steamed through the opening from the broken windows.
he could see you. covered in dust. alive. your eyes found his immediately.
"katsuki"
relief flooded your face.
his own expression softened. "i got you."
he took one step forward.
then the building groaned once more, not from his blast, from somewhere deep beneath the foundation of the building.
his smile disappeared. "NO!" he yelled.
the floor lurched beneath him. everything shifted at once. the ceiling began to collapse on the both of you.
"y/n!" he yelled on the top of his lungs, he threw himself toward you without thinking. he reached, ALMOST, he was so close.
so close enough that his fingertips brushed yours.
then, everything vanished beneath a deafening roar.
"y/n!" he screamed your name until his throat burned. again. and again.
he quickly got up digging frantically through the rubble with bleeding hands. calling for you.
he was searching for anything. any answer, breath, any sign that you were alive, under all this rubble. fuck, if he came a little bit earlier. if he didnt waste time to rescue the other people.
all he was met with was silence.
he began heaving, his breathing came in short, ragged even. his heart hammered so hard. "Y/N! please! just anything, im sorry." he began crying, tears spilling fast from his eyes.
even though he was still digging, creating small explosions. till he found some pieces covered in blood, "no- no, no..no no no..NO! y/n im sorry, im sorry"
his hands were bloody, his skin was pulled, ripped and bleeding, he kept on clawing and clawing.
his hands clawed at the mattress before he realized where he was.
the bedroom. your bedroom. your apartment. your shared penthouse.
dark. quiet. safe.
a light flicked on outside. the bathroom door creaked open.
you stepped into the hallway in one of his oversized t-shirts, still rubbing sleep from your eyes after getting a drink of water.
"katsuki?" your voice was hoarse with sleep.
"you okay?, i heard some-"
before you could finish, he was already out of bed. crossing the room in three hurried strides. his arms wrapped around you so tightly that the breath left your lungs.
"ah! fuc- k-katsuki?"
he buried his face against your shoulder. you could feel him shaking.
not slightly but violently. almost terrified.
"babe? im here" you whispered, one hand slowly finding the back of his neck.
"what happened?" he couldn't answer. he was just sobbing into your shoulder.
because he still wasn't entirely convinced he had actually woken up.
he just held you tighter. as if letting go might make the nightmare start all over again.
you instinctively wrapped your arms around his waist.
"katsuki?" your voice was barely above a whisper now.
the panic in his breathing, the way his hands trembled against your back, you started to piece things together, he was most likely having a bad dream.
your fingers slowly threaded through the damp strands of his hair.
"look at me."
he couldn't, he was too scared, the last time he looked at you, was when you were eaten by the concrete roof that fell on you, crushing your body.
"i thought, i- i couldnt..get you in time..and i-" he swallowed hard.
you frowned softly.
"what?"
"babe i-i had this, shit fucked up dream, that you had left after we got- got into some fuckass argument.."
he let out a shaky breath. "then there was an attack and you were trapped.." his grip tightened again.
"and i was too late, too late to get you"
your heart ached.
"im so glad it isnt real.." he barely whispered.
you cupped his face between your hands. forcing him to look at you. his crimson eyes were glassy. red and around the edges. there were tears sitting there.
"katsuki." you smiled at him, "im right here"
his eyes searched yours. making sure.
your skin was warm beneath his fingertips, comforting, your heartbeat steady against him, you were alive and breathing.
"yeah, you are.."
you guided him back toward the bed. neither of you said much. there wasnt much to say.
you climbed back beneath the blankets first before gently patting the empty space beside you.
"come here."
for once, he didn't argue. immediately reaching for your hand beneath the duvet. his thumb brushing across your knuckles. just to feel you there.
"i'm sorry, im such a dumbass." the words surprised even him.
you looked over. "what for, baby?"
"i've been gone too much, i dont prioritise you, ive been an idiot."
you smiled weakly. "well, thats not exactly breaking news."
the smallest laugh escaped him.
"dont get cocky one me, now" he laughed.
"dont lie, you loved it"
"yeah." this time, there wasn't a second of hesitation.
"i love you," his voice was quiet. steady.
"and i don't think i say it enough, im sorry."
your eyes softened. "come here."
you scooted closer until your head rested on his shoulder, hand in hand.
"i love you too."
"you are so great to me, i know im a pro-hero, but- from now you are my priority, im sorry if i made you feel abandoned."
the bedroom fell quiet again. only the rain tapping softly against the windows filled the silence. after a few minutes, you noticed he still wasn't asleep.
"you're still thinking about it."
"maybe."
you squeezed his hand.
"you know" he started, "if we ever get into an argument,"
you looked at him.
"none of us is leaving or sleeping angry."
he looked at you.
"even if one of us needs space, we will be saying 'i love you' first" he said, eyes threatening to spill again, "deal?"
you nodded, as you smiled at him. "deal."
he stared at your intertwined hands for a long moment. then nodded once.
"good."
another few minutes passed. your breathing slowly evened out. you layed down as sleep began pulling at your eyelids.
just before you drifted off, you felt something warm press gently against your forehead. a kiss, on your cheek.
a careful one.
like he was grateful you were still there to kiss at all. then one to your lips.
"goodnight." he whispered as he layed down as well.
he could finally half relax, you were here, the nightmare wasnt real, the apartment is still standing, nobody is injured.
because you were here.
because the nightmare wasn't.
because the apartment was still standing.
he slipped his fingers between yours one last time before closing his eyes.
then sleep came peacefully.

the shared rented apartment between you and your pro hero friend was never really quiet. not due to any of you guys starting unnecessary arguments, or going head to head like back in U.A, but rather due to small feet and a high pitched voice, that is always calling your name.
tiny feet of your four year old son against hardwood at seven in the morning. plastic blocks scattering across the living room. cartoon theme songs echoing from the television. tiny giggles followed by tiny cries followed by minor inconveniences.
bakugou had lived through explosions, villain attacks, collapsing buildings.
nothing had prepared him for a four year old.
you had your son with your previous pro hero boyfriend, that ended up breaking your heart slowly but surely over time. that man was an asshole, according to katsuki.
he didnt cheat, he didnt get violent with you, he made sure he didnt do anything major, just enough for it not to be call-out-worthy, but he always did something to disappoint you. whether it would be to check out other women, hide his phone from you, cancel plans, not talk to you, and the list continues.
unfortunately for you both, katsuki had been there for you throughout that whole relationship. he lent you a shoulder to cry on, but he wasn't hesitant with telling you the hard truth about that man. you've known bakugou since highschool, you have both practically fought against death together, you should have trusted his judgement, but you were naive enough to think he could've changed him.
the cherry on top was when you got pregnant and had to deal with the "me or the baby" dilemma.
you were only 20 at that time, you had and still have your whole life and career ahead of you. we were not going to let a man dictate your life. so you chose what felt right.
your highschool friends including bakugou and your family all were there and offered support.
and after you had given birth, you and bakugou moved in together in an apartment near the city. it was convenient for you both in many ways. you both worked in the same industry, under the same agency, worked similar shifts, and neither of you could justify paying for seperate apartments when rookie pro hero salaries would disappear into rent, and your child's expenses in your case.
it was practical, thats all. at least, thats what katsuki insisted it was.
the first week had been hell. not because of you or katsuki.
but because of him.
bakugou had opened the bathroom door one morning only to nearly step on a tiny plastic dinosaur.
"...the hell?"
he looked down.
a green T-Rex stared back at him.
he sighed.
stepped over it. like the psychopath he is.
took exactly two more steps before something painfully sharp dug into the arch of his foot.
he looked down once again.
"...WHO THE HELL LEAVES LEGO ON THE FLOOR?!"
a tiny gasp came from the hallway.
your son peeked around the corner, clutching another dinosaur to his chest.
"...i did."
bakugou looked at him.
The little boy looked back. of course, who else could it have been?
"...well don't."
"...okay."
"...okay what?"
"...okay... mr. bakugou."
then your son ran off from the crime scene searching for you.
katsuki tch'ed.
katsuki wasnt going to be mean to a kid, especially not yours. but he definitely wasnt warm.
he would ruffle his hair, call him a brat, ask about his day at school, and pack his lunches, thats about it.
he wasnt going to step up for his shitty dad, he was simply doing it to make your life a bit easier, when you were exhausted, showering or sleeping.
your four year old on the other hand, adored katsuki.
he followed bakugou everywhere, from the kitchen to the his bedroom, from then to the laundry room, from that to the living room. it was clear that the kid admired him so much. he thought he was the coolest man on earth.
shiny and sparkly quirk, makes tasty food, and really strong, which kid wouldnt admire him?
not to mention that your son loved to ask katsuki dumb questions.
if it was katsuki's turn to make dinner, he would be met with tiny footsteps approaching him.
katsuki would look down to see a pair of big, curious eyes looking back.
"what are you making?"
"food"
"oh"
"can i watch?"
"sure"
"what are you doing now?"
"washing the dishes"
"cool"
that dynamic mostly changed, when one day you and katsuki went to pick up your son from daycare only for him to come meet you crying.
you dropped to his level quickly and gave him a hug, your heart aching for him.
"what happened? why are you crying?"
the kid refused to say anything, he just continued to cry silently, you picked him up in your arms towards the car.
once the three of you arrived home, you placed him on the couch to watch his favorite cartoons, it was the only time during the weekdays that he could watch the tv, while you and katsuki need at least a good thrity minute to change from your hero gear, take a shower and get comfortable.
once that was done, you sat next to your son on the couch while katsuki was in the kitchen.
"tell me, why are you sad, baby? did something happen?" you asked gently, rubbing his cheek.
"my mate was making fun of my drawing today" hiccup, "during art today," your son gave up on the tough act and leaned in to hug you.
"what did he say, my love?"
"he said that it looked bad, then he took the drawing and threw it in the trash.."
"oh no..thats not good," you looked down at him, continuing to rub his little back, attempting to comfort him.
katsuki walked in the living room, giving the little boy his after-daycare, snack plate, of a cheese sandwich and a juice box.
"did you tell the teacher about this?" you asked as he sat down between you and katsuki and began eating.
he nodded, "they didnt do anything, she just said that he needs to be nice to me."
you sighed, unsure what to do, should you comfort your son till he forgets about this incident, hoping it doesnt repeat. should you yell at the employees to do a better job at preventing bullying amongst the kids, or should you request a meeting with the parent of that child.
then a voice broke you out from your thoughts.
"ill handle this, dont worry, we are going to fix this." katsuki said, looking down at your four year old, "ill make sure that he doesnt mess with you again."
your son looked up at bakugou and nodded before he continued indulging in his plate.
the next day, katsuki was dropping off your son at daycare, while you went to work before him.
later that day, katsuki also insisted on picking him up. and that day was completely different from the one before. your son was running up to you both hugging your legs smiling from ear to ear.
"mama!"
he exclaimed, happy to see you.
you picked him in your arms, "hey, my love, did you have a good day?"
he nodded happily, "yes! we went to the park with the teachers today and i made new friends"
katsuki ruffled his hair, "thats amazing, are you ready to go home now?"
your son nodded as he hugged you.
the way home felt lighter.
not because the grocery bags were any less heavy.
because the little hand swinging between yours was.
your son practically bounced along the sidewalk, excited, he pointed at everything that caught his attention.
"mama! mr, bakugou! look"
you looked towards what he was pointing at.
a tiny sparrow had landed on the nearby fence.
"its a bird!"
"it is, lovely, isnt it so cute?" you said, giggling back.
"i think he is looking at us."
"i think so too,"
"he probably likes mr. bakugou."
bakugou snorted from your other side. carrying most of the grocery bags.
"...the hell's that supposed to mean?"
"katsuki! language!"
"'cause mr. bakugou is cool."
"tch."
the corners of katsuki's mouth twitched upward for barely a second.
by the time you reached the apartment, your son had already forgotten all about the day before.
children were funny like that.
they could carry heartbreak that felt impossibly heavy one afternoon...
only to wake up smiling the next morning.
you envied that.
once you all had settled home and changed, it was time to cook dinner, and today it was your turn.
you were in the kitchen, apron on, looking at your recipe. you and katsuki had made a rule for cooking. whoever is in charge gets to decide what to make.
chicken pasta with veggies, you decided on, something simple and tasty.
you measured the amount of pasta and dunked in the boiling pot, beginning to chop up your chicken into pieces.
"mama, can I help make dinner?"
a voice suddenly spoke from below.
you looked over your shoulder from where you were cutting.
"you can get a chair and help me stir the pasta."
before your son could even climb onto the chair..
"nah."
bakugou reached over.
"you ain't tall enough." he said, and without another word, he lifted him beneath the arms and sat him carefully on the kitchen stool beside the counter.
"there."
your son beamed.
"thank you!"
"yeah..yeah," bakugou said with ruffling his hair.
and from there it continued to grow.
bakugou would go on grocery runs with your son to buy him his favorite snacks, he would pick him up from daycare more often, make his lunches instead of just packing them, teach him cool superhero moves, he would even read him bed time stories and promise to protect him from the monsters. katsuki became his superhero.
fast forward a couple months later, it was safe to say that after 2 years of living together, katsuki was warming up to the kid, especially after his fourth birthday rolled around.
when you had thrown him a big birthday party, inviting all his mates from daycare at a play ground. your son had the time of his life, playing and laughing with his friends, eating sweets enough for a year and receiving gifts.
the presents were opened one by one.
coloring books, building blocks, hero costumes, dinosaurs, toy cars, plushies, every gift was met with the same wide-eyed excitement only a four year old could have.
it wasn't wrapped particularly well. the corners of the paper were uneven. the tape had clearly been applied with absolutely zero patience.
you smiled to yourself.
"...katsuki." you whispered to him.
"what."
"...you wrapped this, didn't you?"
"maybe...stop laughing idiot!" he whisper yelled at you,
"...im sorry." you said trying your best not to get louder from laughter.
the other parents laughed quietly.
your son climbed into bakugou's lap without asking, holding the box between them.
"can you help me?"
"i ain't opening your presents for you, brat."
"pleeease?"
bakugou sighed dramatically.
"...fine."
with surprisingly gentle fingers, he peeled away the tape while your son enthusiastically ripped the paper apart.
inside...
was a small pair of black training gauntlets.
not real ones, obviously. safe foam replicas that had been clearly custom-made.
alongside them... a tiny hero notebook.
the cover read in messy handwriting.
future hero training log.
your son stared, his tiny mouth slowly fell open.
"no way..."
bakugou scratched the back of his neck.
"oh my god! this is so cool!"
"you definitely- this is the best gift ever!"
sour son launched himself forward.
wrapping both tiny arms around Bakugou's neck.
"i love it, than you!"
bakugou froze.
"...oi, careful."
"thank you!"
"...yeah, youre welcome, happy birthday."
your son didn't let go.
not for another full minute.
his favorite one was most definitely the gift from katsuki.
at this point, the party had ended hours ago.
the sugar crash hit your son, and he had barley made it five minutes into the drive home.
"mama..."
"hm?"
"im sleepy.."
"i know, lovely"
"mama..can i sleep?"
you laughed, "you dont need permission"
no response, and thirty seconds later you heard soft hums from the back seat, you smiled to yourself.
you looked over to katsuki and thanked him.
"what are you thanking me for, hm?"
"thanks for making time for him, i really do appreciate it, i was worried that he would be missing a father figure in his life, but clearly he has the best uncle ever." you smiled at him.
he gave you a soft smile in return which was rare for him.
"dont mention it, y/n. its your son after all, besides hes not so bad after all for a little brat, im just glad we can both do this before getting even busier with our hero careers."
you hummed in agreement, "you are right".
when you got home, bakugou quietly opened the passenger door before you even unbuckled yourself.
"i got him."
"you've carried enough today."
"its okay, i said I got him."
"...okay."
so you decided to carry in his new gifts while katsuki lifted your sleeping son in his arms.
He carefully lifted your sleeping son into his arms.
one tiny fist grabbing onto the front of Bakugou's hoodie.
bakugou looked down at him for a second and chuckled.
"...heavy little brat."
you smiled softly.
"you say that every time."
"'cause he is."
"you've been saying that since he was two."
"he is heavy than too."
you let out a soft laugh as you entered the apartment, and bakugou carried him down the hallway, pushing the bedroom door open with his foot.
he knelt beside the small bed.
carefully placing him on his bed, quickly changing his clothes to his pyjamas and eased him beneath the blankets.
removed the tiny foam gauntlets from his hands.
Set them neatly on the bedside table.
pulled the blanket up over his shoulders.
then...
almost as an afterthought, he brushed one stubborn lock of hair away from the little boy's forehead.
"...night."
you'd been standing in the doorway the entire time.
watching.
he turned around.
"...what?"
"...nothing."
"...right, of course."
You smiled.
"i was just thinking."
"thats dangerous."
"it is," you said, continuing your way to the kitchen. katsuki quickly following you.
a comfortable silence settled between the two of you. as you both relaxed on the couch, it wasn't awkward. it never really was anymore. the television was off. the living room was clean and tidy, and there were no dishes in the sink. the city lights filtered through the apartment windows.
you looked over at katsuki who was currently on his phone.
"he'd changed." you thought to yourself, not in personality. he still complained. still grumbled. still looked permanently annoyed at the world.
but,
he'd become softer.
the kind of softness that only appeared when nobody was looking. except that you'd started looking.
and once you noticed it, you couldn't stop.
"what?"
his voice pulled you from your thoughts.
"...hm?" you quickly snapped back to reality.
"you've been staring."
"...have i?" you answer, trying to look oblivious.
"yeah."
"...sorry."
he snorted.
"there you go again." he smiled, while looking down at his phone once again.
"...right." you smiled sheepishly. "i am working on it."
"slowly." he added.
"very."
another silence.
this one lingered longer.
you found yourself tracing circles against the mug in your hands.
"...can i ask you something?"
"depends."
"on?"
"whether it's stupid."
you laughed.
he turned off his phone once he was done reading whatever email he had received and placed it down.
"go on."
you hesitated.
"...why?"
"...what?"
"why did you stay?"
he frowned.
"...the hell kinda question is that?"
"i'm serious."
you looked down at your hands.
"you didn't have to, you didnt have to do any of this yknow?, like help him, make him happy, help raise the kid." you paused for a second to collect your thoughts.
"nobody forced you to wake up early for daycare, take him there when i get called in for work early, or fold his laundry."
he huffed a laugh.
your smile faded into something smaller.
"...you didn't have to become such a big part of our lives. his life"
you swallowed.
"..we simply live here."
katsuki leaned back against the couch.
his arms folded across his chest.
he didn't answer immediately.
he rarely did when the conversation mattered.
instead...he thought.
"at first..." he started quietly.
"...it was because i couldn't stand watchin' you do everythin' alone, i care for you, even though youre an idiot. you are still one of my closest friends, and i wanted to give you a hand after the shit you dealt with."
you looked up.
"you were exhausted, you'd come home barely able to stand, then you'd still cook, clean and play with him." katsuki paused, he then looked at you and continued.
"...then wake up and do it all over again."
he shook his head.
"...pissed me off."
"...why?" you asked, placing your mug on the coffee table, genuinely confused.
"'cause nobody should have to do that."
he looked toward the hallway.
"then, somehow, sometime along the way, the span of these two years, he stopped feeling like your kid."
your eyebrows knitted together.
"...what?"
he sighed.
"...not like that." he laughed.
"the brat became a part of my routine if you know what i mean."
he searched for the words, visibly irritated that they weren't coming easily.
his jaw tightened.
"i'd hear some kid laughin' outside and think it sounded like him. it wasnt something i decided, y/n, and im sorry if this is considered stepping over your boundaries."
he rubbed a hand over the back of his neck.
your chest tightened.
"katsuki, i-"
"and more importantly.."
he continued, quieter this time.
"...you."
"huh, what about me?"
he let out a slow breath.
"that happened too."
you blinked. "what?"
"...this."
he gestured vaguely between the two of you.
"trust me, i don't know when, or why, i just..fuck"
he dragged a hand over his face.
"my dumbass started lookin' forward to comin' home, noticing your laughs, helping you out when you were tired, and it just kept getting worse from there."
he gave a small, humorless laugh.
your heart was beating so loudly you were sure he could hear it.
"...worse?"
he looked directly at you.
"yeah.." he exhaled deeply, "cause, once again, somewhere along the path, you stopped being my roommate that i share an apartment with to save money, or my best friend that i wanted to help out.
his voice was steady.
honest.
"...i don't know exactly when. i can't point to one moment, it wasnt any dramatic bullshit, im not gonna sit here and pretend this is a perfect love story or anything.."
"it just..." he exhaled once again. "kept buildin'."
now he was looking directly at you, "little thing, that kept building ,till one day i realised, that i really dont know anymore."
the kitchen felt impossibly still. the living room fell quiet.
you stared at him. not finding the correct words or the appropriate thoughts.
he had taken every word you'd been carrying for months, and spoken them first.
you laughed softly.
almost in disbelief.
"you know what's funny, katsuki?"
"what."
"i was scared."
"of?"
"that if i ever felt something again, like romantic feelings specfically, id be betraying myself, falling for the same shit"
he frowned.
"after..him."
"i promised myself i'd never need anyone again, never depend on anyone and never let anyone become that important, and then i just kept seeing you, you would visit me often at my old house, show up at my office, id see you during patrols, everyday."
"you kept on showing up, everyday, for me, buying me coffees, dropping me home, and for my son, without asking for anything in return from me."
you smiled through the tears gathering in your eyes.
"it wasn't one moment for me either. it was during the stupidest shit ever, while packing lunch for him, it looked terrible."
he snickered.
"they did."
you moved closer. not all the way. just enough to close that awkwardly big gap between you guys.
"i don't think i woke up one morning in love with you, its true, youve been a great friend for a while, i just think.."
you looked into his crimson eyes.
"i just never noticed the feeling growing, until it was too big to ignore."
he draped his arm around on you, on the couch, and for a long moment, none of you moved, just staring into oblivion, katsuki then slowly reached out first, hesitant, as if he was giving you the chance to step away.
his rough hand found yours. fingers slowly threading together.
"i guess this was kinda idiotic from the both of us.." he muttered.
you laughed through the tears threatening to spill.
"hey!" you said, playfully slapping his chest.
"can i kiss you?" he whispered.
your smile widened.
"there is no way you just asked permission."
he clicked his tongue. "answer the damn question."
"yes."
he closed the small distance between you. there was nothing rushed about it. nothing desperate. just a slow, careful kiss. unspoken feelings settled between the two of you. there was no desperation. no rush. just relief.
when you pulled away, neither of you spoke.
then a moment later, katsuki whispered.
"...about damn time."
you laughed quietly, your fingers finding his.
"yeah."
another kiss. deeper this time, then another, your lips kept on chasing his, him chasing you, then suddenly it grew more aggressive, hungry.
katsuki picked you up swiftly, your legs wrapping around his waist, and somehow the distance between the livingroom and your bedroom disappeared one careful step at a time, interrupted only by quiet laughter and the occasional sarcastic remark from katsuki.
for the first time in years, you let yourself lean on someone without feeling guilty for it.
the bedroom door clicked shut behind you. and for the first time since you'd become a mother, you weren't carrying everything by yourself anymore.
katsuki placed you gently on your bed.
"try to not be so loud, yeah? we dont wanna your brat up." he said, fingers rubbing your cheek, you nodded. before tugging him by his collar and crashing your lips together again.
it was clear that you both wanted each other, you could see him growing harder in his jeans.
"fuck" he muttered, "lemme take this off you, yeah?" he said, playing with the hem of your shirt, "katsuki, please." you whispered in his ear, as he was gently sucking on the skin of your neck and jaw.
"please what, baby" he hummed, continuing to work his way from your jaw down to your collarbone. peppering your skin with small kisses and bites.
"take it off, please"
he smiled, satisfied, "arms up"
it was embarrassing how fast you obeyed, lifting your arms up for him to take your shirt off, exposing your black lacy bra.
he tossed your shirt somewhere on the floor, before muttering under his breath. "so beautiful," he said, rubbing his hands over your upper chest, waiting for your approval, before you guided his hands down to your tits, he kneaded you for a bit through your bra before he shortly after unclasped it and tossed it with the forgotten shirt.
"shit, youre unreal," he said, leaning down, taking one nipple in his mouth, gently sucking on it while rubbing the other one with his fingers. the sensation was driving you crazy.
you began grinding into his clothed cock, while pushing his head down on you, whispering his name.
he released your nipple, before rubbing down your tummy, kissing down your happy trail till he found your pants.
"katsuki take off your shirt, not fair." you said, as you tugged down your own pants.
he chucked before he threw the shirt over his head, "there there, stop whining."
fuck, this isnt the first time youve seen him shirtless, matter fact, you have countless times, during training, med checkups, etc, but not like this, not when its dark and he is about to be as possibly close to you.
he leaned down to kiss you once again, and your hands were now finding their way on his pecs and biceps.
his fingeres once again were tugging and playing with your pants before he yanked them down as well, leaving you in nothing but your panties.
katsuki groans at the sight before he also takes his jeans off, he presses one quick kiss to your lips before laying down between your legs, "katsuki.." you groaned, rolling your hips, "i need you, please".
"god i need you too," he whispers against your skin, he takes your panties off and pushes your legs apart, and buries his face between them, eating you out as you arch your back. "fuck, so beautiful, baby." he mutters against your skin.
"fuck.. katsuki-" you say, gripping his hair tightly, "yeah, right there, shit, fuck you know-" you release a high-pitched moan as his tongue flicks over your clit, legs shaking, "you taste so good.." he mumbles against you.
he can feel your orgasm building quick, he sucks hard, slowly inching in his middle and ring finger, curling them, his eyes lifting to see your face melt, "mmmph.. fuck, this feels so good.." you moan loudly, he slaps your inner thigh at that.
"shh, baby, we dont wanna wake anyone up, now, do we?" you nod, head dropping back. he begins to pump his fingers and suck on you at the same time, "p-please katsuki..."
your orgasm now is approaching, you try to squirm away from katsuki due to the overwhelming sensation, but he is quick to keep your down, "dont move too much now," he tells you, holding you in place by your hips.
"oh my god-" you cry out, nails clenching the sheets below you, "shit, katsuki..im gonna- shit, gonna cum.." you whimper, your body shaking, "cmon, all for me, let me see how good i make you feel"
your entire body locks up before you get hit with your climax, moaning his name loudly as you cum, grinding your face slowly against his face through the orgasm.
he slowly gets up from between your legs, yanks his jeans off, and leans down to kiss you. you accept his lips with no question, "nasty girl," he says, kissing you once on the cheek. "you did so good, angel."
he went down, to give your breast a rough squeeze once again, "i need you," he whispered before lining himself, you quickly wrapped your legs around his waist, "ill get a condom first, hol on."
you kept him in place with your thighs, "im on the pill, its fine."
pulling back between your legs, he lowered himself to your heat slowly, peppering slow kisses from your breasts down to your stomach. when he finally pressed his lips right over your clothed clit, you groaned softly, head sinking back into your pillow.
you whimpered, thighs instinctively tightening around his head as you sighed out his name, wanting to melt.
"katsuki…"
"you're always so pretty, y'know that?" he breathed out before kissing you again.
you drew in a shaky breath, ears burning.
you weren't exactly what you'd call pretty, right now. your were sure you looked like a mess.
hair tangled, eyes red and wet, probably bloated from the day.
"i-im not" you protested as he kept sinking inch by inch. "don't say that." his lips turned upside down back like you had just offended him personally, "stop undermining yourself, give your self some love, okay?"
when he finally bottomed out, you both let out a sigh, you felt so full. but you were also growing impatient, you needed him badly, and he needed you too.
you grind slowly, feeling him, every inch of his dick between your folds,
"youre so big, katsuki" he groans at your statement, "fuck" as he begins to push in and out of you, his hands gripping your hips. "god, baby you're so damn tight-" as he continues to thrusts up into you.
you’d never felt so filled in your life. you could practically see him in your cervix. katsuki was also absolutely losing it with each thrust, both of you completely overwhelmed with one and another.
katsuki continues to thrust into you till a beyond pornographic moan left your mouth when he found your g-spot, "katsuki! oh my god...please" you moaned loudly once again. "right there, fuck me harder!" you practically screamed, clenching and biting his shoulder.
"shit baby, can feel you clenching up on me.. fuck"
"katsuki! ch-ch choke me, baby please!" katsuki looked up, eyes wide, "huh, alright, yes angel" he watched you as your hand covered his, eyes rolling back, he was fucking you dumb as he went deeper and gripped your neck harder.
both of you were getting louder, it was clear that you were gonna cum. you thought of you using your free hand to reach down between your bodies and rub circles on your clit to help take you over the edge, that feeling was heavenly but only lasted a couple seconds, before you were gone.
as you came, your body went completely still under his, legs shaking on the mattress as your hands and legs relaxed, "fuck, you feel so good, cumming around me like this, shit" katsuki moaned, clearly approaching his orgasm.
your hands now taking his face and smashing your lips to his, his thrusts became insanely harsh and sloppy, next thing you knew, he was moaning in your mouth deeply.
you moaned into his lips as you felt his warm cum feeling you up completely.
he pulled out and you both winced at that feeling before you dropped on the bed next to you. none of you had the energy to get up so you both just cuddled up to one another in your bed, covered in your sheets.
"you okay?" he asked kissing your forehead, and removing hair strands from your face. you nodded in return, "thank you katsuki"
he laughed, "no need to thank me angel, i wanted to make you feel special, im glad i got to fullfil my wish" he kissed your lips before pulling the sheets to your shoulders.
"goodnight, baby" he said hugging you tighter to his body.
"night, katsuki"

When people hear the name Michael Jackson, they often think of the title "King of Pop." While this title stands true and reflects his extraordinary success in music, it does not fully capture the complexity of him as a person or his legacy.
Jackson had many titles and positions. He was a performer, dancer, singer and songwriter. He was the second youngest son, he was a brother and a father. Those titles are not enough to describe him. because during his time he was a cultural phenomenon whose influence extended far beyond the music industry. Even from the early age of 5, he was considered exceptional to other artists including his elder brothers whom he was in a band with. to fully understand how much of a cultural impact Michael Jackson had on the 1960s and beyond, its important to understand that he was not simply a successful artist. There have been many successful and influential musicians throughout the pop culture history. However, very few managed to have a change an entire industry. He did exactly that. During this time of talented artists such as The Beatles, Ray Charles, and Aretha Franklin, he stood so far above the rest that he seemed almost untouchable at eleven years old. His young excited voice was instantly recognisable, his dance moves were imitated across the globe, he had insane voice control and stage presence that he became powerful. His fans would scream, cry and even faint at the sight of him. Michael Jackson allegedly standing still for 20 minutes caused the unconsciousness of 60 people.
Throughout the 1960s and 70s, him and his brothers continued to work tightly together under the management of their father. Together they had formed a band under the name "The Jackson 5", and later changed to "The Jacksons". Where Michael was the lead singer with his elder brother Jackie Jackson as the second singer. His two older brothers Tito and Jermaine Jackson being the guitarists and his brother Marlon Jackson being the dancer. Together they released many successful hits such as, "I want you back", "ABC", and "I'll be there". The group worked day in and day out. Attending rehearsals, going on tours, meeting directors, going on interviews and being on late night shows. Under the strict management of Joseph Jackson, whom allegedly had exhausted the boys both mentally and abused them psychically, till they had reached the top and successfully escaped their poor and humble background as a poor black family from Gary, Indiana, US.
Towards the late 1970s, Michael had realised he wanted to start a solo career. His father was not accepting of that of course. However, Michael had seemed fed up and decided to go on with his decision regardless. He had hired a lawyer, John Branca, and a security officer under the name Bill Bray. Shortly after leaving the Jackson 5 and stepping more into his solo career despite what his father might have thought, Michael was satisfied of entering a new stage of his life. Jackson was twenty years old when his partnership with producer Quincy Jones marked a turning point that would change modern pop music forever. Together, the two had created the album "Off the Wall (1979), which showed the world that Michael Jackson was no longer a child star, but a fully independent artist with a distinct and personal identity. Songs from the album like , "Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough" and "Rock with You" became global hits overnight, turning the album into a massive commercial success, selling over 20 million copies worldwide. Proving that his success was not depended on his past with his father but on his evolving talent.
Despite the challenged he had faced during the time. From his father, his brothers who some of them had been seemingly jealous, and as well his developing skin condition, he was determined to mark this as the beginning of his everlasting legacy and name.
The year was 1982, a couple years after releasing "Off the Wall" Michael released "Thriller". Words cannot do this album any justice, because this album became the best-selling album of all the time, with the biggest hit "Billie Jean" being the best selling song of all time till this year of 2026. The short films created for its song transformed music videos into an art form rather than just a promotion. His dancing and moves were outstanding and captured the hearts of alot of fans, during his music videos for "Thriller" and "Beat it". Michael had became so famous that even real gangs that had a massive dangerous reputation in the media had made peace to record a music video for Jackson in the "Beat it" music video.
Fast forward a year later, Michael once again reminded the world exactly who he was, during his iconic Motown 25 performance in 1983. On stage meant to celebrate Motown's history, he ended up creating a moment that would change him forever. Where he performed his massive hit "Billie jean" from the album "Thriller." The audience watched something that felt unreal and only belonged to him. During this performance Michale revealed what would become his most famous contribution to dance, The Moonwalk. As he glided with his loafers across the stage, smoothly then tip toeing for a couple seconds, adding this to his history of iconic moves such as the shuffle, dancing machine-dance and the skip.
His fame did not stop there. As not only did he become a massive superstar at only 24 years old, but he became what united the divided people of America, and the rest of the world. His music brought humanity together. He then would contribute back to his community by donating to children's hospitals, and other centres and charities like the child abuse prevention and funding for disease research, earning him a spot in the Guinness Book of Records for the most charities supported by a pop star.
The people adored Michael. Not only due to his ethereal music or his fascinating dance moves. Rather to the way he gave back to the people, treated his fans with love unlike many artists of today and earlier who do not interact with their fans. He did not put himself on a pedestal higher than other people, rather he was humble, affectionate and giving.
Despite his growing success, Michael Jackson still had to face one of the most significant barriers in the music industry at the time. Racism within mainstream media platforms. During the early years of MTV, Black artists were largely ignored or excluded from heavy rotation, despite producing music that was already shaping global culture. The channel focused mainly on white rock artists, which meant that even massively successful black musicians struggled to receive equal visibility. MTV initially hesitated to give it full support, reflecting the racial divide that existed in the industry at the time. It was only after pressure from CBS Records that “Billie Jean” was finally added into regular rotation.
From that moment onward, Michael Jackson’s influence expanded beyond the stage and into everyday life across the world. As his music was no longer limited to restrictive radio or television, it became part of global culture itself. Schools, clubs, and streets echoed his dance moves, while his fashion choices began to appear everywhere. The way he dressed with his flashy, stylish suits, the way he performed so confidently while claiming to be shy, and the way he moved his feet became a template that millions tried to copy.
With the following years, Michael hadnt slowed down. He had entered the Bad era in 1987, with the release of the album "bad". The album hit another global-scaled sucess, producing iconic songs like, "Bad", "Smooth Criminal", "Man in the Mirror", and "The way you make me feel". The album dominated charts worldwide and was followed bad the bad world tour, one of the largest tours of all time, filling stadiums across continents, such as the 02 Arena in London that has the capacity of 20,000 people.
At the same time, this era carried heavy weight. Michael was juggling both personal issues and public ones. He was fighting the constant pressure to beat his previous records, as well as touring around the globe, being interviewed, stopped and recognised by fans. While also battling his own skin condition that was slowly but surely taking a bigger toll on him. Additionally, Michael's early career had been shaped by strict control under his father, Joseph Jackson, who had managed "The Jackson 5" with extreme pressure that Michael himself later described as deeply damaging. Even as an adult, parts of his early career, including tours with his brothers, remained tied to that experience which is one of the reasons why he wanted to go solo in the first place.
In the following years, Jackson continued to realise music and videos that just continued to hit major hits breaking record after record, winning multiple awards each ceremony. The "Dangerous" Album released in 1991 had major hits like, "Black and white", and "Heal the world" showed both his global appeal and his focus on unity and his humanitarian messages. He continued to release singles and albums throughout the years wit his next messages being shown in his 1995 album, "HIStory", introducing new hits like "Scream" and "Earth Song" which expressed frustration with the media pressure and social injustices. Later his album, "Invincible" in 2001 became his final studio album.
In his adult life, Michael always expressed his love for children kids and how one day he would love to have his own. Seeing it as something so pure to give fatherly love to his children that he had not received as a child. This desire later appeared in his personal relationships in 1994, when he married Lisa-Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley. They gained intense global media attention from the very start. Their marriage had been establish on very shaky grounds, as it shortly ended in 1996, when both citing personal differences and overwhelming pressure of the public. Additionally due to the fact that Lisa-Marie did not have the same desire as Michael to peruse kids due to the fact that she had already children from her previous marriage. Shortly after, Michael married Debbie Rowe, a nurse who later became the mother of his two children, Prince Michael Joseph Jackson Jr, and Paris Katherine Jackson. Their marriage was platonic and also brief as they separated in 1999, with Rowe giving him full custody of the children. His third child, known as Bigi Prince Michael Jackson 2nd, was born through surrogacy, and during this period Michael became increasingly focused on building a private life for his children away from the media.
This desire for privacy was strongly reflected in Neverland Ranch, his large estate in California, which he turned into a personal retreat filled with amusement rides, animals, and entertainment spaces. He often described it as a place where he could recreate a sense of childhood innocence that he felt he had lost.
However, his private life was repeatedly overshadowed by intense media scrutiny and multiple investigations, which led to years of public speculation and legal proceedings. The main criminal case against Michael Jackson, formally known as People V Jackson, In 2005 in California and centered around allegations made by a teenage boy and his family involving claims of child molestation, false imprionment and conspiracy. The case went to trial in early 2005 and after a lengthy pre-trial process, involving search warrants and raiding his estate in neverland where law enforcement collected evidence and interviewed , witnesses. The prosecution argued that Jackson had engaged in inappropriate conduct and that his associates had attempted to intimidate or discredit the accuses and his family. The dfense countered by arguing that the allegations were motivated by financial pressure and inconsistencies in testimony and they challenged the credibility of the prosecutions witnesses. The trial itself lasted multiple months and gained massive global coverage, making it one of the most publicised celebrity trials in history. Jackson faced multiple felony charges, and the jury heard extensive testimony from both sides, including family members, experts and formed employees.
On the faithful day, June 13, 2005. The jury delivered its verdict, Michael Jackson was found not guilty on all counts. He was fully acquitted of every charge brought against him. Despite this legal outcome, the media narrative surrounding him remained highly polarised. Even so, his fanbase remained global and deeply loyal.
The years between 2006-2009 showed a period of withdrawal and rebuilding. He left the United Stated for extended periods, spending time in places such as Bahrain, where he was offered support and privacy away from intense media attention in America. During this time, he kept his private life on the low, appearing rarely and focusing more on his personal life and children. Though he was not releasing major studio albums, he continued to work and practice for tours behind the scenes.
In 2009, Michael Jackson announced a major comeback series of concerts titled "This is it", which were supposed to take place in London, UK, to highlight the end of his career. This announcement gained fast and intense attention as it would be he his return to large-scale life performance and last after many years. However before the tour could begin, Michael Jackson was announced dead on June 25, 2009, in Los Angeles from acute propofol intoxication. His death sent massive waves of shock and sadness across the world. Fans gathered around their cities, arranging marches, building statues, and even giving their flowers infront of his childhood home in Indiana. His death clearly had a huge impact on the world, and not just the music industry.
Even years after his death, even seventeen years later, his presence did not disappear as his music continues to get referenced, played, sampled and continues to inspire others. Even though he is dead, his legacy continues to live among the people even almost two decades after his death, exactly as he wished, as he had stated in a previous interview that he would love to live forever.
All together, Michael Jackson's story is not only about fame, records or global success. It is about a complex life that existed on almost unimaginable scales. Where he hadnt gotten the chance to live a normal childhood like other kids, he was loved widely by his supporters and always involved in some scheme or controversy. He was celebrated like no one else having near four billion supporters, yet he was also watched and judged and called names more than anyone before him.
Even after his death in 2009, his presence never truly disappeared as previously mentioned. New generations continue to discover his music, learn his dances, and feel the same impact that audiences felt decades earlier. His influence did not end with his life but it expanded beyond it.
Michael Jackson remains one of those rare figures whose legacy cannot be confined to a single title, era, or definition. He was not only the “King of Pop,” but a moment in history that continues to echo through music, dance, and culture around the world. And because of that, his name is likely to remain present long into the future, long after his own time has passed.

m.list - series m.list - this is part 4
katsuki woke up before his alarm, like he always did. at excatly 05:35am.
but the room felt heavier than usual. probably due to the leftover tension from last night that sat on his chest like a blanket.
he stared at the ceiling for a moment, jaw tight, replaying it all in his head, your voice, your face, the way you said you were going home.
even if it was a small thing you had said about going home, even explaining it, and even after the messages, he didnt feel right. and he really did not want to lose you.
"tch.." he dragged down a large hand down his face. it wasnt even anger he felt, but more like restlessness beneath his ribs.
he dragged himself out of bed.
his morning routine was always the same, almost aggressively structured.
he showered first, hot water blasting his back, fogging the mirrors, steam filling the whole damn bathroom. he braced his hands on the tiles for a moment, letting the water hit the tension between his shoulders.
then he brushed his teeth, styled his hair meticulously like always, pushing it up, blow drying, adding product, shaping the spikes with muscle memory and habit.
he trimmed the edges of his undercut even though it didn’t need trimming. he just needed something to focus on. to distract himself from his thoughts. he really did not want to lose you or even dare to hurt you.
he put on his compression shirt, then his black cargo pants, he shrugged into his agency jacket, clean, sharp, pressed. he slipped on his watch and checked the time. plenty left.
he grabbed his keys and left his apartment.
he drove to the agency quietly. too quiet. No music. just the low engine rumble and his own stupid thoughts.
when he parked and stepped out, the late october air hit him, cold but not freezing, the kind of autumn morning he’d like.
He walked toward the agency doors, making his way to his office.
and there you were.
you were sitting at your desk already, earlier than usual.
"something feels different" he thought to himself.
he eyed. you for a bit. you werent wearing anything dramatic or unprofessional. just normal office clothes. but you looked..softer today.
your way was styled differently, less strict, more wavier, relaxed and comfy. kind of like how he saw you at his place. you had on light makeup. not much, just enough to make your eyes stand out and your lips glossier.
you were sitting there quietly, hands wrapped around a coffee cup, staring at your laptop.
for some insane reason, that made bakugous breath hitch.
"she looks beautiful" he thought again. in a way that made his chest tighten instead of his fists.
he swallowed, rubbing the back of his neck once. he walked toward your desk anyway because he always did.
he stopped right in front of your desk.
"good morning, y/n" his voice was low and careful.
you jolted slightly, looked up at him, and forced a smile that didn’t touch your eyes. "good morning, dynamight"
he hated when you called him that. hated it even more today.
his gaze sharpened. "dynamight, huh? you feeling extra professional today or something..how did you sleep tonight?"
you blinked, quickly, almost too quickly. "slept good, i guess i am a bit tired, still."
he knew it instantly. it was probably a lie.
he knew why you were tired. it was probably because of yesterday.
he inhaled. debated pushing you for the real answer, like he always does.
"alright, as long as youre okay."
it came out softer than he meant, but still firm.
you nodded, but something flickered in your expression, a hint of disappointment. hurt. like you wanted him to insist. to press. to care.
and for once… katsuki let the moment pass.
he didn’t realize letting go of that tiny moment would break something inside you later.
the morning unfolded like every other weekday at the dynamight agency.
loud, messy, organised chaos with explosions behind closed training room doors.
you typed reports, organised case files, sent emails, reminding sidekicks of their patrol shifts. you made calls to the supply company about the new reinforced gauntlet straps that katsuki swore were “too damn loose.”
you sorted through three different municipal requests because some idiot kept accidentally marking dynamight as a “community fireworks specialist.”
katsuki passed your desk multiple times, barking orders: it was truly a busy day.
“oi, grand, those patrol logs better be done!”
“use your head, dumbass!”
“y/n, forward those citizen-interaction reports to me.”
he said that last part gentler, directed toward you, though he never noticed the slight flinch you made before answering softly.
"alright, sir."
bakugou then took a seat, continuing his emails and reports.
kirishima soon then strolled by occasionally, smiling like the sun. he is one of the few to come into you and bakugous office whenever he pleases.
"goodmorning, y/n!! slept well tonight?" he said scaring you.
you startled a little. "wha! kirishima, can you not appear upside-down like a horror movie?"
he grinned wide, coming up to take seat infront of your desk. "aw, c’mon, that was barely a jump scare! but seriously." he straightened and lowered his voice.
"everything manly with you?" he said, smirking a little.
you rolled your eyes and exhaled slowly. "yep. just a long week. glad its thursday.
"want some coffee? I made a fresh pot. bakugou said it tasted like ash so it must be perfect."
you laughed softly despite yourself. "you brew it like rocket fuel, eijirou."
"that means it will work!" he flexed dramatically. "keeps me punching villains and answering emails."
you snorted. "you barley answer any emails, eijirou"
he put a hand over his heart, fake-gasping. "youre so mean, y/n."
you shook your head, smiling for the first time that morning. kirishima softened when he saw it, genuinely relieved.
"there it is,” he whispered. "your real smile. thought it ran away from you.”
you rolled your eyes, but your cheeks warmed.
"for real though, if you need anything i am here."
you nodded gratefully. "thanks, eijirou. you’re always sweet. and of course likewise."
he beamed.
from across the room, katsuki looked up to see kirishima grinning at you like a golden retriever who’d discovered its favorite human.
katsuki frowned.
"KIRISHIMA! stop flirtin’ and get your ass to the your office!"
kirishima jumped. "I WASN’T FLIRTING! THAT’S JUST MY FACE!"
you burst into laughter.
kirishima shot you a wink. "see? i made you smile. bakugou should thank me."
bakugou growled in the distance.
the day went on with more small interactions, kirishima passing by to hand you sticky notes, asking if you’d eaten, telling you one of the new recruits called you “terrifyingly efficient,” which he swore was a compliment.
and each time? you felt a little lighter.
bakugou heard it. but pretended he didn’t.
by noon, you were buried in spreadsheets about rescue statistics, filtering by date, hero, and location. you typed so long you felt your fingers throb. katsuki watched you from across the room during a meeting with two sidekicks. he caught the way your shoulders slumped, the way you chewed your lip, the way your answers to him were shorter.
but he didn’t push. at least not today, anyway.
at exactly 15:30 PM, katsuki’s phone buzzed with a secured committee notification.
he opened it, expecting more stats nonsense. but instead it read:
OFFICIAL HERO COMMITTEE NOTICE
DRESS CODE FINALIZATION FOR YEARLY AGENCY STATISTICS GALA
• all agencies must arrive in colour-coordinated attire.
• colour must represent the agency’s branding.
• dynamight agency’s assigned colour: ORANGE.
he groaned.
“oi, y/n, eijirou. get over here.” he said as kirishima was taking another break in your office.
kirishima bounded over like a golden retriever. you walked over slower, quieter.
bakugou turned the phone so both of you could see.
"we gotta wear orange. all of us. head to toe. some kinda uniform bullshit.”
kirishima gasped. "OH THAT’S SO COOL! like a team!"
katsuki rolled his eyes.
you huffed a tiny laugh, barely there, but it eased some tightness in his chest.
kirishima grinned. "guess we’re going shopping then! tomorrow? i get excited for this every year.”
bakugou nodded. "yeah. the three of us alongside the team leaders and some other people."
you nodded too.
katsuki watched your expression carefully. neutral. too neutral.
he hated neutral on you. especially today.
the rest of the workday dragged on. more coffee refills from kirishima, more interviews, more emails, more documents.
people left the office one by one, shouting their goodbyes.
“see ya tomorrow, team!”
"later guys!”
“HEY! you forgot these!”
kirishima came up to you and gave you both a double thumbs-up before leaving. "can’t wait! gonna be manly!"
then it was just you and katsuki in the quiet office, lights dimmed, soft hum of the vending machine the only noise.
you were packing your things. and wrapping your scarf around your neck. he stood beside his desk, watching you for too long.
then finally:
"…i’ll drive you home."
simple. casual.
but not the right words.
not come with me.
not stay over.
not you’re coming back to mine, like he usually said after long days.
and the moment it left his mouth, he saw it:
the way your face fell.
the tiny crack in your façade.
the way your hands stilled over your bag.
"home..right. yeah." you repeated quietly.
he frowned. "what is it?"
you shook your head. "nothing.”
he stepped closer. "are you gonna tell me whats happening, are we gonna communicate like adults or are you gonna keep bottling up your feelings?"
you blinked rapidly, trying to stop the tears from falling down. and then everything inside you snapped.
"why don’t you care anymore?"
the words came out raw, shaky, louder than you meant.
bakugou froze. "what are you talking about?"
your breathing hitched. your hand trembled as you clutched your bag. as the other went went up to wipe your tears.
"you don’t..you don’t push anymore. you don’t ask what’s wrong. you don’t tell me to come home with you. you just..” your voice cracked.
"you just dropped me the moment she showed up."
she.
camie.
"or thats what it feels like at least." there was a pause before you finally looked up at him. "i know this is stupid. because she technically hasnt done much to make me feel this way.."
katsuki’s jaw clenched so hard it hurt. you kept going, insecurity spilling like a broken dam:
"i know i shouldn’t care, i know its a bad feeling to want someone to push you to do something you dont want to. i know its toxic, i really do. and i also know she’s pretty and confident and..and even has seen a side of you i havent seen, but god.."
your eyes filled fast. "the way she touched you. the way she looked at you. i almost felt invisible. and then you barely looked at me afterward, and you kept calling me "yn" instead of...”
you swallowed hard. wiping more tears from your eyes, you then looked down for a bit. "i thought maybe… maybe you didn’t want me around anymore."
katsuki stepped forward, but you stepped back.
"and when you said you’d drive me home. not your place, like you always insisted on..” your voice shook violently.
“i thought it meant you were done with me. that i was stupid for expecting anything. that i was..”
you wiped your cheeks angrily. "that i was just your secretary again."
"i know i only said, we can take it slow, see where this could go. but i-"
his chest felt like it cracked open at your words. "stop." his voice was low, serious.
but you kept talking anyway. like you couldnt stop now that it has started.
"i admire you so much. i..i care about you so much it scares me. and i sometimes feel, pathetic next to someone like her. and all day you didn’t ask. you didn’t push. You didn’t look at me like you usually do."
you breathed shakily. "there, you wanted me to communicate."
silence.
then he moved.
one firm hand cupped the back of your neck, the other tilted your chin up so you had no choice but to look at him...really look.
"you’re comin’ home with me."
your breath hitched. "i thought-"
"i don’t give a damn what you thought." his voice cracked with emotion he couldn’t hide. “i already knew i shoulda pushed. i shoulda fuckin’ asked. i didn’t wanna stress you out after yesterday, but i made it worse. im sorry for making you feel unimportant, that’s on me.”
your lip trembled. he stepped closer until your foreheads almost touched.
"i want you." his voice dropped to a whisper. "i always fuckin’ want you."
your eyes burned hot.
he brushed his thumb along your jaw, gentler than anyone would believe dynamight could be.
“cmon, lets walk to the car together, angel." a breath, warm, grounding. he took your hand in his. "you’re stayin’ with me tonight."
he opened the passenger door for you as you got in, and returned his side. he started the engine and drove off after ensuring that the agency was locked from any intruders.
the drive there to his house was quiet. soft humming of cars, stops at red lights, and so on.
while he was driving, you noticed that he was taking an unfamiliar way to his place. that was until you saw your apartment complex.
"w-why are we here..?" you asked, voice low and confused.
"we are here so you can go and bring yourself a bag of your necessities. pjs, clothes for tomorrow, underwear, makeup or whatever you need. ill be waiting for you here, unless you want me to come with you."
"uh, thats fine, you can just wait here, ill be back soon." you said, stepping out of the car. while you were packing a small bag, bakugou was in his car, thinking of how to make you smile again, forget about camie, and ensure you he only wanted you.
"fuck.." he muttered under his breath, leaning back against the seat and shutting his eyes for a brief moment.
he was thinking of ways he could, hold your hand again, make you dinner, lie next to you until that shaky breath of yours is evened out, kissing you, showing you with actions, and words that you matter to him.
while he was drowning in thoughts, he suddenly gets a call on his phone. the number was unsaved, so there wasnt any names popping up.
UNSAVED NUMBER - CALLING
bakugou frowned. confused by who was calling him, as he didnt recognise that number. he swiped to answer, putting it on speaker automatically.
"hello, dynamight speaking." he grunted. "who is this?"
there was a beat of silence, then..
"hello dynamight. its me! camie!"
his entire body went rigid and he wiped a hand across his face.
"..camie?" he repeated flatly.
"yep!" she giggled.
"and how the fuck did you get not even my business number, but my fucking personal number."
"oh! kirishima was so kind and gave it to me!" she chirped. "i told him i needed it for hero-committee stuff, yknow? god bless him."
katsukis eye twitched. "eijirou.." he muttered under his breath. he was going to have two words with his best friend later.
"sooo anywayss, is it okay if i call you bakugou instead of dynamight, it feels super forced?" she asked.
"no. you get to call me what everyone else does." katsukis jaw tightened.
"alright, i wanted to call and say sorry for everything that happened i the past.. seriously!" silence.
then you showed up in katsukis peripheral vision, and then slowly but surely made your way to his car and got in. you looked focused and tired.
then you froze when you heard camies voice echo within the car.
"hello? i said im sorry for what has happened between us in the past. i feel awful about how things ended back then. and since we are working together and stuff maybe we could catch up?"
katsukis jaw tightened once again. "camie-"
"like...i dunno! maybe grab dinner or something, or talk things out." she laughed softly. "maybe a date, old times sake.."
then your eyes snapped to katsukis, wide and confused. starting to ache again.
"hellloooo?? bakugou? can you hear me? wanna go on a date or something?"
"y/n-" katsukis said, but camies voice kept going, totally oblivious.
"like nothing serious, of course. we can just hang out and talk and see how you feel and-"
"camie. no, im not doing that." he spoke .
"oh?" she hummed, then suddenly. "ohh..got someone over there, huh?"
you sat there, staring at the dashboard, like it had betrayed you personally. katsukis chest ached.
he cleared his throat sharply. "listen. i said no, im not interested. ive got someone important with me so stop."
there was finally silence on her end.
"oh.." she said, "okay, im sorry. guess i misread the vibe."
"yeah." he snapped. "you did."
and just like that he hung up immediately. and then he turned fully to you.
"y/n-"
you inhaled sharply. "im sorry" you whispered. "i didnt mean to overhear."
"you didnt overhear shit, she was on speaker and she doesnt matter."
"then why-"
"she called for some bullshit reason, talking about how she feels sorry for what happened in the past. how she lied to eijirou to get my number. and i just shut it down."
you swallowed.
"didnt she ask you-"
"and i said no, didnt i?"
you lifted your eyes to his and he leaned in closer, resting on arm on the back of the headrest of your seat. one on the dashboard.
"i dont want her, not anymore." he said, "i want you, i told you that an hour ago, and im telling you again."
your eyes shimmered. "she sounded so confident, like she knew she had a chance. i dont mean to be stubborn or argumentative."
"well she doesnt." his voice hardened. "she doesnt get shit from me."
katsukis thumb brushed your cheek bone, wiping the tears that were spilling from your eyes.
"dont look at me like i lied to you" he murmured. "you think id ever let someone come back to me after cheating on me? no matter how long ago it was, huh?" he paused. "you think id ever want anyone else after everything with you. even if it hasnt been much, i feel alive with you than i do with anyone else."
"i shut her down, and i was already about to hang up before you even got in the car." he said softly. "she wont dare call again and if she does for anything thats not business related, ill block her."
finally, you exhaled. "okay. i believe you."
he nodded. "good."
he leaned back, starting the car again. and rested a hand gently on your thigh. "got everything?"
you nodded.
"alright, lets go home, then."
as he parked his car in the drive way, he stepped out to once again open the door for you. you followed him inside into the luxury penthouse apartment complex.
you both stepped into the elevator in silence. your chest a bit tight. he noticed that as he wrapped an arm around your shoulder and kissed your forehead.
"everything alright?" he said rubbing your shoulder softly.
"yeah." you whispered but he could barely hear it.
he leaned down again to give you another kiss. "whats that?"
"im okay." you said, a little louder this time.
"good."
his apartment feels warmer tonight, maybe because he’s rushing to unlock the door faster than usual, like getting you inside is the first step to fixing everything.
he pushes the door open and steps inside.
"get in." he mutters softly.
you step in and exhale softly. the lights automatically come on, warm and golden. just how you like it. his place looks the same as before, a bit different considering now that your eyes are burning. you took off your shoes slowly. as if moving too fast will make you cry again.
you took of your jacket and scarf and hung them by the entrance. you stopped infront of the hallway mirror to fix your hair and your blouse before stepping into the kitchen.
"you hungry?" he asks, voice low.
you nodded. "a bit."
he exhales through his nose. "relax, go change, and sit down, ill cook."
you nodded as you took your bag and stepped into the bathroom to change, from your work clothing of a navy blue blouse and some suit trousers, wrists of a watch and jewellery, to a simple, flared cotton legging and a croptop. you put your hair up with a claw clip and shoved your jewellery into your bag.
you knew he had some facewash, so you used it to wipe away your makeup. after you patted your face dry with a towel, you reapplied some clear gloss and stepped out.
as you stepped back into the kitchen, katsuki was in full motion of cooking. he had also changed his clothing himself. to gray pair of sweatpants and a tight black shirt.
you took a seat on the kitchen island. as he was grabbing more ingredients from the cabinet and fridge. "curry bricks, onions, pork cutlets, seasonings." he murmured to himself.
you are now watching him quietly, and he knows you are watching. he turns to you, his voice soft. "is katsu curry okay?"
you nod. "yep."
he sets up the cutting bored and starts slicing his onions with sharp movements. the pan is heated behind him, as he drizzles some oil ontop. he seasons the pork like he has done this a million times. he is confident in his abilities.
he continued to cook. curry is simmering, thick and fragrant. he moves the cutlets from the oil to a wire rack. its golden and perfect.
then he glances at you.
"you looked tired." he says quietly.
"i am."
he wipes his hands on a towel. "eat first, talk later."
you nod, and the two of you sit across each other on the dinning table.
he comes up behind placing a generous plate. he powers you some sparkling water. assuming any form of alcohol could stress you some more.
he sits right across you and digs in.
the curry is rich. the cutlet is crisp. you didnt realise how much you were starving you were till now.
he watched you quietly for a moment. his eyes softening. shoulders easing slightly when he sees you enjoying his food.
"you are lucky you are so skilled in the kitchen." you hum softly. "you eat like this everyday?" you ask.
"nah." he grumbled. "just when i got someone worth cooking for."
your heart jumps a bit. you eat quietly for a bit, using the sparkling water to wash down the food. the tension slowly thinning. he pushes his empty plate away and leans back.
then he says, "y/n. i cant stand you talking about how you thinking you arent enough, or that i dont want you."
you drop your gaze out of nervousness of whats about to come.
"im sorr-"
"no." he snaps, but not in anger, rather in desperation. "dont apologise, just listen.."
you look at him.
he looks like hes been holding back alot himself as well.
"you think i dont push you to come home with me cause i suddenly dont want you?" his jaw clenches. "i didnt push you because you were visibly hurt and stressed. i didnt want to make it even worse on you. thanks to eijirou, i was able to steal a few glances of your smile during this miserable day."
"katsuki, i-"
he keeps going.
"i fucking hate that camie n the shit she brought made you feel second. even that you think she could compare to you. and i hate that you thought that, even for a second, i suddenly didnt give two shits about you since she showed up."
"katsuki- im sorry for making you stre-"
"nah, what bugs me is that you think that some woman who cheated on me years ago, could be comparable to someone i find joy being around, that i make meals for, take on dates, and take pride in pleasuring and being with. you truly got me fucked up."
before you could say anything, he stands up and walks to your side of the table. he stops right in front of your chair and kneels between your legs.
he looks up at you. "tell me, was the food good?"
you nodded, smiling slightly.
"you are one of the only people that i want in my life. you've kept up with me for so long, desperately doing your job perfectly and making my life easier." he paused, "then when i thought you couldnt get any better, i got to know you outside the office, to then find out that you made me feel a different sort of happiness."
he lifts a hand, to rest it on your knee.
"katsuki, im sorry if i made your life harder by being insecure." you said, lip trembling.
he chuckles. "dont stress it, i didnt stop pushing you cause i lost interest. i stopped cause i was trying to do this right. to become someone you feel safe with."
you whisper. "katsuki... do you mean that?"
"nah, woman. you got me fucked up. i wouldnt be fucking kneeling if i didnt."
for the first time in days, he got to hear your laughter again.
then you both stand up. "im sorry, i just really love you and it scared me."
his eyes widened and he froze for a moment. then his hands wrapped around your waist pulling you closer.
"good."
you blink, "good?"
"yeah." he admits softly. "because im in love with you two, idiot."
your arms slide around his shoulders, and he leans down a bit, barley, brushing his lips against yours. not pushing or rushing, but letting you decide.
you kiss him first.
he exhales a shaky breath against your mouth, pulling you deeper in his arms. lifting you so effortlessly, like you are weightless.
but he doesnt head towards the bedroom, not yet.
he sets you gently on the couch, thumb brushing your cheek.
"so.." he whispered. "we official, or what?"
you then gave a goofy smile.
"yeah, officially official."
"bout damn time."
he kissed you again. then he carried you again and made his way to his bedroom. the moment he shut the door behind you, it felt different.
he kicked the door open and gently laid you on the bed.
"we dont have to do anything you dont want."
"no, i want it."
he was careful with his movements. tracing his hands up and down your sides, all the way from your shoulders to your hips. he gently took off your pants and threw them somewhere on the floor alongside his own.
his fingers then brushed your jaw, slow, warm, asking for permission without saying a word.
"katsuki.." you whispered.
he had to resist again, giving you the time you deserved.
his hands slid to the back of your neck, guiding you, his forehead pressed softly against yours.
"katsuki..please"
he kissed you, not rushed, just deep and patient.
your hands found the sides of his face, sliding up into his hair, and he exhaled sharply at your touch. then you kissed him, and he felt like the oxygen was knocked out of his lungs.
you both made eye contact when you pulled away your lips. he threw his shirt over his shoulders then somewhere on the floor as well. leaving him in his boxers.
he began toying with the hem of your shirt.
"katsuki...take it off"
that was the green light he was looking for. within a second your shirt had joined the rest of the articles on the floor.
your back hit the wall gently, his palms braced beside your head as he leaned in. crowding you with heat and want. but nothing too overwhelming.
then he began kissing down your jaw, slow and trying to memorise the path. his hands slid to your waist pulling you closer. so closer you felt every rise and fall of his chest.
then he kept his hand steady on your waist, and you locked your arms behind his neck. he looked down at you before latching his teeth onto your neck. you gasped softly when his breath left your collarbone.
"katsuki.." you whispered again. giving him the eyes that he cant resist. "please, need you already." it was clear that you were growing impatient with him taking his sweet, sweet time with you.
"if you keep looking at me like that." he murmured, voice thick, "im gonna lose my damn mind."
you swallowed, your hand sliding up his chest, feeling the way his heartbeat jumped under your palm.
"what if i want you to." you replied.
and something in him snapped, not harshly, not aggressively, but in a way that felt like a dam finally giving under too much feeling.
his mouth found yours again, deeper this time. hungrier. hands still firm on your waist. your fingers went from his neck to sinking into his soft blond locks.
"angel." he whispered, forehead resting on yours. "you sure about this? arent you too tired?"
you nodded instantly, "im sure"
the corner of his mouth lifted, in the smallest smirk. "okay, then ive got you."
he stripped completely naked, as he tugged on the hem of your panties. before they had also been slipped off of you. his middle finger now finding its way to your clit, to prepare you before he goes in.
"fuck, feels good.." you hummed softly against his neck. "yeah?..dont worry, i said i got you." he responded gently.
he continued flicking and circling around your clit till you your legs locked around his waist, signalling that you were close.
"cmon, let go for me, be a good girl." he said, encouraging you to come on his fingers.
when that feeling hit you, your back arched slightly off the bed, legs shaking. a gasp left your mouth before he had kissed you once again.
"fuck" he scuffed, "you are so addicting. you know that?"
once your breathing finally evened out, he went in to kiss you again, trying to help ease you and make you relax.
he looked back down at you before gently lining himself at your entrance. "you ready for me?" he asked, voice laced with care.
you nodded in his neck. "alright, tell me if i should stop."
once he finally slid himself in gently, you both took a moment to adjust to the new feeling. "feel good?" he whispered, lips brushing against your skin.
"yes." you breathed immediately.
he chucked, quiet and warm, kissing your pulse. "good."
once you were both familiar with the feeling, he began rocking his hips gently.
his ears were blessed to hear your moans, as they slipped by your lips with each movement of his.
"shit. you feel amazing."
he reached behind you and pulled you away from the wall, lifting you again like you weighed nothing. you wrapped your arms around his shoulders on instinct, legs curling around his waist without thinking.
his hips began rocking against yours faster with each thrust.
you were both losing your mind at the sensation.
"fuck," he muttered breathlessly. "you’re gonna kill me."
at this point, your whole body tenses, a sharp gasp tumbling from your lips as your eyes roll back, from the amount of pleasure katsuki was giving you.
"fuck katsuki, feels so good, so big." you praised, biting his shoulder.
"yeah? feel good, angel. fuck, you feel like heaven too, baby. fuck, gonna cum soon."
you nod, breath shaky, giving him permission without saying a word.
"shit.. look at you," he groans. "youre taking me so well, baby… you’re milking me." his hips stutter as he fights to keep it together, the position isnt helping.
"tell me, angel. whos a good girl, hm?"
"m-me, katsuki. im your good girl." you said, breathlessly, ready to come any second. "please let me come" you pleaded, eyes teary.
"y-yeah go ahead, come for me, take whats yours." then he slams in harder, the force making your leg shake even more. sending you to the very edge.
"fuck!"
you came all around the tall blond man, he stopped his movements for a second, letting you go through your orgasm. before he latched his lips on yours.
once you were done, you dropped your head on his shoulder, before his hips started moving again. "look at you, fuck, you feel so good, i cant hold back any longer."
your fingers tangled in his hair, tugging lightly, just enough pressure to make his breath stutter.
"shit.." he whispered, voice cracking as he lifted his head just slightly, eyes half-lidded. "you keep doing that"
you tugged again.
he swore under his breath, leaning down to kiss you fiercely, one hand gripping the wall behind you like he needed something to hold on to before he lost control, coming inside of you.
the two of you were catching your breath before he plopped you and himself back onto the bed.
"katsuki.." you whispered.
he looked at you. really looked, as if he was seeing a rare sight.
then he moved down your body again, kissing so gently it made your heart physically ache. his hands held your hips with a mix of reverence and want, thumbs stroking slow circles into your skin.
he lifted his head, kissed the center of your stomach once, soft, almost shy, and then looked up at you through messy strands of blond hair falling over his eyes.
"you’re… unreal," he whispered. "i don’t deserve you."
you swallowed hard. "dont say that."
he climbed back up your body, settling over you again, arms bracketing your head, faces inches apart.
"then let me prove it," he murmured, lips brushing yours.
you nodded, breath trembling.
He kissed you slow, so slow, until you felt your whole body melt beneath him.
and with the calmest, softest voice you had ever heard from him, he whispered against your lips:
"i got you, angel. all night."
that was the last thing you heard before you drifted off to sleep.
the next day, you woke up first. the room is dim, tinted blue by the soft lights outside. his bedroom is warmer than it should be. mostly because he is wrapped around you like hes trying to fuse you into his chest.
his arms are locked around your waist, his face buried against the side of your neck. you feel his breath, slow and steady, warm on your skin. his hair is tickling your jaw. His hand is splayed across your stomach, holding you there like if he loosened his grip for even a second, you’d drift away.
he doesnt even pretend to be asleep when you shift. a low mumble leaves his chest. "..good morning, baby.."
his voice is deeper than usual, sleep rough and warm enough to melt your bones.
you turn in his arms to face him. his eyes are half-lidded, red and soft, the early light catching on the tiny flecks of gold in them. He looks… happy. relaxed in a way he never is at work. like last night rewired something in him.
you brush a small strand of hair from his forehead.
"good morning, grumpy."
he stares at you for a long second, then a tiny smile, rare and real, tugs at his mouth.
"you are good at this.."
"good at what?"
"laying in my bed and being in my arms."
"really?" there was a blush sneaking its way on your cheeks.
"damn right" he mutters, kissing your temple with sleep laziness. "officially official, remember?"
you laugh and nudge his shoulder. "we have work.."
he groans, burying his face into your naked chest, like he is trying to ignore the existence of responsibilities at the moment.
"cmon, hero" you laugh.
he looks up at you, eyes narrowing playfully. "you making fun of me or something?"
"maybe, just a bit."
he presses a kiss to your lips. slow. soft. a morning kiss, lazy and warm and grounding.
"alright, ill prepare a shower." he said, "together, to save water."
"save water, huh?" you smirked at him before he picked your naked body up.
"yeah, super helpful for the environment, you know?"
he opened the bathroom door and placed you on the closed toilet lid, "i mean if you want to." he asked, gently.
you smile, "yeah, i want to."
his ears turned red, as he turned on the shower head, adjusting it to how you exactly wanted, lighting a floral scented candle, and had towels ready for when you both got out.
he stands behind you, arms around your waist, before he kissed the corner of your jaw.
"you good?" he asked.
"mhm."
"you sure, not sore anywhere, too cold or too warm, uncomfortable?" his thumbs rub slow circles on your hips.
"im fine. dont worry."
"im not letting you go to work messed up. im supposed to take care of you."
your chest squeezes. "i promise im okay, baby. really."
he washes your hair for you, hands gentle, movements slow, concentrated, focused in that way he only ever is during training or cooking or… you.
you both take turns doing each others hair, kisses exchanged between each rinse. his hands always on yours while you do his hair, or when you scrub his body with a loofa.
he brushed the conditioner out of your hair for you before he rinsed your hair, and scrubbed away the filth on your body with your own loofa.
after you both rinsed the shampoo rinse of your shoulders, you stepped out the shower one by one. he wrapped the towel around his waist, while you had yours around your chest.
you grabbed your panties and jeans, and put them on after you had dried and moisturised your body. alongside your bra and a pink blouse. socks went on last before you turned on the hair dryer and began drying your hair.
bakugou behind you had stepped into some black jeans, a tight black tshirt and some socks. grabbing his tooth brush.
after that you did some skincare with what you had available. you washed your face, then moisturised it, then went ahead and applied sunscreen before coating your lips with a balm.
bakugou finished brushing his teeth and applied some roll on before trimming his facial hair to how he liked it. applied some lotion to his arms and some of his cologne.
while you had also applied roll on, then lightly did your makeup. with some eyebrow gel to keep them in place the whole day, some powder under your eyes, eyeshadow to bring out your eyes, and some lipliner and tint for your lips.
he leaned down and gently kissed your temple. "you look beautiful."
"thank you, baby. so do you."
he took your hand as he turned off the lights in the bathroom and made his way down to the kitchen with you.
he starts preparing breakfast like he is on a mission.
you sit on the counter, watching.
bakugou glances up, "what."
"nothing."
"right, you are staring, idiot."
"you are cooking,"
"so?"
"its cute"
he nearly dropped the pan. "shut the hell up." he mutters, his ears are turning pink.
after maybe 45 minutes, he tells you to go sit and you obey. soon after he plates scrambled eggs, rice, and grilled sausages with juice. nothing fancy, but comforting and warm.
you smile, "thank you, katsuki."
he grunts, taking the seat next to you. "yeah, cmon eat up."
you both exchanged some talk around breakfast, some involving work, missions, the upcoming hero committee, etc.
once you both finished he took the plates and cups and placed them in the sink.
you both gave yourselves final touches with some perfumes and colognes. you were reapplying your tint and lip liner, and some perfume.
"cmon, chop chop." he said while he threw his jacket on and locked the door.
you both stepped into the elevator heading down to the parking lot.
he had his arm around your shoulder the whole time, rubbing it gently. you were looking at your phone and browsing some news articles. then the door pinged and you both got out of the elevator, making your way to his car.
he opened the door for you, and you got in.
he circled the car and got into his own seat.
"we are driving together, always." he stated plainly as he started the engine.
"yeah?"
"yep." he said getting out the home parking and making yalls way to the agency.
as always you two pull into the underground parking. but today feels a little different.
not just because you are officially together now. though that sits warm in your chest like a secret flame. but because people are already gathered by the elevators, buzzing with early morning chatter.
bakugou gets out the war and stretches, looking as good as always in your opinion. his hair still a bit damp from the shower earlier. he glances at you, eyes softening in that subtle way only you get to see.
"cmon," he mutters, walking around the car to you. "lets get this shit over with"
he places his hand on your lower back as you both walk towards the entrance. when the elevator opens, revealing a certain red head, he quickly pulls his hand to his side.
you both stepped in. "good morning y/n! and bakugou. you guys look, uh fresh today. really fresh."
bakugou glares, as you smile softly. "why are you saying it like that?"
kirishima freezes "HUH? im just stating what im observing!"
you bite your lip to stop a laugh. kirishima again, gets the feeling of something is up, he just doesnt know what it is exactly.
the three of you step into the agency floor, where team leades were already assembled.
Arata Miyano, team leader in charge of managing and promoting Dynamight’s public image, as well as the agency’s head of public relations - PR manager.
he is tall and painfully serious. he takes a step forward, "we will be ready for departure once everyone is present, dress requirements have been emailed, correct?" he switches his glance from Dynamight to you.
"yes! the theme is orange. meaning, orange dresses for the women, navy accents for the suits alongside orange ties for the men." you said, digging up an email sheet that you printed from your bag.
people nod, some looking excited, as most people get free premium quality clothing every year. but some other seeming stressed as they will have stacked up tasks to do when they come back to the agency.
"who is missing?" Fujimoto Yuna, lead medical operations coordinator and emergency response supervisor, asks. medium height, blond, gorgeous woman.
"we are missing, a couple..i think. we are missing, Kanra Reina, team leader of external negotiations with other hero agencies. Hoshino Kaede, Head of Community Outreach and Public Engagement and lastly, Tachibana Riko, head of equipment distribution and support gear logistics." kirishima said as he scrolled on his tablet.
Arata Miyano grew frustrated as he stepped towards kirishima. "this is unacceptable, i wake up at 5am everyday to not be late to my job only for some people to be holding us back? have they at least sent their reasonings??" he said, scoffing.
bakugou scoffed, snatching the tablet from kirishima's hands. Reina said she is a bit delayed due to her attending a meeting before coming to work with another agency. Riko is late due to last minute requests, there isnt anything about Kaede." bakugou read out the messages for him and the others.
"we are hella early anyways. so relax, them being late is not taking parts of your wage away." dynamight said handing the tablet back to kirishima.
a few moments later the missing people had arrived and the cars began arranging downstairs. four in total, black suv's for the team leaders. a seperate one for kirishima and his side kick. and then a car for you and dynamight. they initially wanted you to tag along with kirishima, as the boss is seen above everyone else, including his head secretary. but he had made an excuse about how he liked to keep his secretary close for "business reasons"
sure.
you all head down as a group, bakugou walking next to you so close your hands keep brushing.
everyone loads into their assigned cars and soon you are speeding off towards the most expensive shopping district in the city. expensive boutiques, glass storefronts, and mannequins displaying high end gala outfits. the luxury industry definitely takes advantage of seasons like these where pro-heros drop multiple bags from their companies.
as the cars roll in and park, employees began stepping out. at this point everyone had gotten out including you, dynamight and redriot.
but before you even reached the entrance of the boutique. kirishima yells. "mina??" you turn and there she is.
Mina Ashido, pink-hair, pink skin, glowing, dressed in a cream sweater, black skirt, and boots. waving at kirishima eijirou. Pro hero Pinky was here.
"eiji!!! you said you were shopping here so i thought id join you, since im tagging along at the gala."
kirishima lights up so brightly. "ahh! thats amazing.."
she hops forward and kisses his cheek, he hugs her back and is blushing like crazy. the colour on his face almost matches the one in his hair.
then they both walk up to you and bakugou.
"hey dynamight, i hope you dont mind me joining," she snickers before giving him a side hug. "how have you been bakugou?" she asks brightly.
"mina, this is so typical you, at least give me a message or a call, dont just show up, i wouldnt have declined you, yknow?" he said gently.
after a moment, bakugou speaks up again. "ive been good, how about you? hows working with the other pros?"
"its been good! i learn so much everyday! cant wait to join you and eiji one day" she smiles brightly.
"oh!! this is y/n l/n, she basically runs the whole agency. alongside bakugou and me." kirishima said, grabbing mina by her shoulder. "and y/n this is mina, my girlfriend, that i may have told you about." he smiles at you.
then mina beams at you.
"hello! ive heard so much about you!"
"wha- from who?" you ask, surprised.
"eijirou, duh! he keeps saying you are a genius at the job and he cant function without you!"
kirishima turns even more red.
"minaaa-"
bakugou laughs. "pathetic."
you laugh quietly.
"nice to meet you by the way, you can call me mina!" she says extending her hand. you took it and shook it gently. "pleasure to meet you in person pro hero, pinky. you can call me, y/n"
"i hope you dont mind me joining! i got invited and i need something orange!"
"perfect," you say, "we can help each other."
the boutique is huge, wide glass windows, soft lighting, racks of designer gowns, suits, and accessories.
the staff of the shop approaches immediately, over polite, when dynamight enters.
"welcome, dynamight agnecy! we are going to be help your staff today, so please dont be afraid to ask us any questions."
"alright, put anything processed today under my corporate account." he said, and for each employee got a staff member to help them pick out an outfit.
bakugou sighs, "and...theyre gone."
you look to the right, and overhear a conversation between bakugous employees.
one of the new interns, that you hired, Sora, she is holding up a blinding neon-orange dress.
"team leader Arata! does this look professional, or am i glowing?"
aratas face is stone, "you look like a traffic cone," he told her plainly.
you look to the left, another conversation. Mariko, one of kirishimas side kicks, is spinning in front of the mirror in a sparkly tangerine dress.
"i feel like a citrus goddess." she sighs.
her friend laughs softly.
bakugou pinches the bridge of his nose. "do i run a fucking circus or what?"
you laugh, softly bumping his arm. "hey! they are trying their best."
"trying my patience."
soon, his staff members show up one by one, while you and him, are sitting on a couch.
"dynamight does this suit look okay?" arata asks with a blush on his cheek. bakugou simply nods at his choice of the suit, he is impressed. the suit looks clean and professional. with a breast pocket that has an orange tissue. "i like it, approved by me" he smiles and nods.
"dynamight, does this look okay in your opinion?" sora shows up, showing off the orange dress, its a simply silk dress, with a slit. and has a beautiful neckline, perfect jewellery. "looks good, maybe if you wore a watch or something on your wrist, i think it looks perfect." he says and a smile grows on her face. "thanks boss!" she beams as she takes the dress to the checkout counter.
"boss is this orange or too orange?" it was reina's turn to ask. "uhh, too orange, the dress is good, but switch it out for a different shade." he says and immediately a staff member of the store nods and obeys his orders.
"sir would you approve of this?" Fujimoto Sayaka, leader of communications strategist. "id approve of you had proper shoes, go pick out suit approved shoes." once again, another store staff member nodded, leading sayaka to find some shoes.
by approximately, 30 minutes of chaos, bakugou helping his staff, the store staff running around. most of the employees were already ready and waiting in their cars for you, bakugou, and kirishima.
you and bakugou finally got up, to find kirishima halfway across the store giving mina a dramatic twirl as she models dresses.
"you look gorgeous babe!" he exclaims, "eijirou! stop!!" she said as they both were giggling.
you watch them for a moment, this is the firs time you have seen kirishima like this. soft and hopelessly inlove.
it warms you.
"help me before i blow up this store."
you raised an eyebrow. "oh? you need my fashion expertise?"
he leans in a little closer, "i need you. thats enough expertise."
you laugh softly, and it warms his heart.
he gestures towards the mens section. "cmon, gotta pick a navy suit with orange accents."
you go with him.
he first tried on a fitted navy suit. the fabric hugs his shoulders in a way that make you have to actively remember to breath.
he raises a brow "well?"
bakugou smirks, stepping closer so his voice is low enough for you.
"good? really, thats all you got, angel?"
you push his shoulder. "shut up, katsuki."
he grabs an orange tie, holds it against his chest. and you reach forward automatically, and get in the fitting room.
you were fixing his tie and your fingers linger longer than needed.
"so? do i get this one?" he asks you.
"i really like the shirt underneath, the details on it look beautiful, the tie too. the jacket hugs you so perfectly. but i dont like the pants, i find them too fitted on you, like theyre trying to suffocate you. maybe go for a loser pair or trousers."
he nods, agreeing.
you get out the fitting room and he calls a staff member over to get him a looser pair of pants.
she arrives and hands it to him.
"perfect, katsuki!" you exclaim when he shows you.
he smirks, "alright, your turn."
"my-?"
"you need a dress, dont you?" MOODBOARD FOR THE AESTHETIC.
you nod.
"give me a second, ill change and ill be there with you in a second."
when he finishes, you both head towards the womens section.
you grab two options, a deep burnt orange satin dress, and a lighter silk tangerine one. mina peeks over, approving.
"ohhh! choose the satin one! eiji! what do you think?"
kirishima nods, "satin, for sure."
then you disappear into the fitting room.
a minute later you step out, hesitant.
bakugous jaw visibly drops.
he tries to recover and fails.
"holy shit." he clears his throat aggressively.
"yep thats the one."
you shyly turn so he can see the back.
"babe.." you are hesitant at first. "can you.. zip it up.."
he steps behind you, slow and careful. hands warm. he lifts the zipper gently. fingertips brushing the bare skin of your spine.
you inhale sharply. his breath ghosts your ear.
"pefect," he murmurs. "absolutely, perfect. you look stunning."
you smile at him. "thank you." you whisper gently, blowing him a kiss.
when the four of you regroup, everyone having their bags in their hands. at this point. everyone is done, bags are packed. payments are processed, teams returning to their cars.
bakugou thanks the staff of the store, and they all respectfully blow back.
the drive to the agency is comfortable silence.
when you got back, the office was full of life, as it was practically lunch time. some people were typing away, making coffee, and munching on their sandwiches.
you and bakugou stepped into your office, kirishima and mina behind you guys. you and kirishima and mina sat on the couch in front of his desk, bakugou leaned back in his chair, scanning the room.
"alright, we are having lunch outside." he barked, although there was a trace of warmth beneath the harsh tone.
kirishimas face lit up, bright as the morning sun, "hell yeah! sounds amazing."
mina smiled softly, "yay! thank youuu, bakugou." she said politely, but her eyes flickered towards you. awaiting your reaction.
you looked at bakugou, chest tightening at the way he was watching you. "sounds good with me!" you said.
"good." he said, running a hand down his neck. "grab your stuff, were taking my car."
kirishima grinned, carrying his backpack, and his girlfriends purse. you put on your tote bag and you all made your way down.
as you guys got into car, kirishima and mina in the backseat, bakugou said, "so, where do you wanna eat?"
kirishima practically vibrating, "lets go to the french brunch place, they have good coffee!"
mina giggled softly, and you nodded. "yeah. that works!" you said, turning and giving kirishima a thumbs up.
bakugou smirked slightly, though his jaw was still tense. "dont get used to me being nice, extras. today is an exception." he mutterd, "extra? who calls people that" you asked, raising an eyebrow.
kirishima and mina laughed.
"oh y/n during UA days, that was the only thing he would address people as, i guess old habits die hard."
you all laughed, kirishima then asked.
"sooo, how do you like today so far? hows your work life been lately?"
you glanced at him, "its nice mostly, except for when i get stubborn costumers or i get into long and pointless meetings. i mean, ka-.. dynamight keeps me on my toes, and you are very cheerful eijirou its hard to not smile when you are around."
mina reached over, "it was very nice meeting you, y/n you seem cool and you are easy to talk to."
you smiled back, "thank you, mina. its super nice meeting you too, i wasnt sure what it would be like meeting dynamights friends, but this is nice."
kirishima then interrupted. "sorry for cutting the romance between you two, but do you genuinely call him dynamight?"
you grew a little nervous. "well i-its out of respe-"
"nah, she is being a little respectful, probably trying to impress mina with her politeness." he saved you.
mina laughed, leaning slightly toward you. "we should definitely keep in touch. maybe a little girls’ shopping trip sometime… just us?" she suggested.
you felt her cheeks warm, heart fluttering. "i’d like that,"
as you guys were approaching the restaurant, the car got a bit quiet. just the hum of the engine and faint chatter of kirishima in the back. you were scrolling on your phone.
then something on your feed made you laugh quietly, a cat jumping in a funny way.
"katsuki." you said softly, letting his whole first name slip out, your stomach instantly twisted, you werent supposed to use his first name so casually, especially after he saved you earlier.
bakugou looked at you, one eyebrow slightly raised, you froze. you did this, now bakugou was waiting for your response.
"yeah?" he asked, voice low and patient.
you scrambled, your mind not thinking fast enough to think of something work-related to say, you were fumbling with your phone. "uh-look at this, its a cat video." you said, holding it up towards him. trying to cover the slip without making it obvious.
bakugou leaned forward, smirking a little, "lemme see."
you exhaled softly, while showing bakugou the video. kirishima and mina might have not noticed anything.
katsuki then snickered at the video, "your feed is so stupid."
then kirishima voice broke, "wow. you two are close, huh?"
you froze, heart jumping. "n-no! it was just a funny cat video." you said showing the video to kirishima.
you looked down at your phone again, cheeks warm, you closed your eyes for a moment, before katsuki had parked his car.
"alright, out, extras."
the french brunch spot smelled like fresh pastries and rich coffee. sunlight streaming through the tall windows. bakugou led the way, pulling open the door for everyone.
kirishima happily entered, while mina trailed with a quiet smile. you spotted a four seat table and held a spot next to the window as the rest of the group approached.
everyone picked up a menu, beginning to browse. bakugou leaned in, "you two ready to order?" he asked, questioning kirishima and mina.
kirishima leaned over the table, "im thinking..maybe an egg salad, and a chocolate croissant, what about you mina?"
mina tilted her head, glancing at the menu. "i think ill have the grilled cheese with a small serving of soup on the side."
you spoke then, "i think ill just go basic with french toast and coffee."
"alright then."
a waiter came up to take the orders, and soon enough the arrived with the food, and it definitely looked appetising.
"soo fresh omg!" kirishima exclaimed at his took a bite from his croissant.
"ohhh this grilled cheese is so perfectly crisp!" mina beamed as she took another bite.
you and bakugou ate pretty quietly, which made kirishimas eyes flicker between the two of you.
"so..um speaking of which..whats happening between you two.." his eyes were wide and dying for an answer.
you almost choked on your coffee, bakugous jaw tightened.
"kiri!! its nothi-nothing." you blurted.
"really? nothing? even when i see you guys arrive everyday at the same time, leave at the same time too?" he asked curiously.
"yeah well thats only natural. we have office together so its normal for us to leave around the same time, and we arrive at the same time due to his having to be present for morning meetings together!" you excused, but what you were saying was also true.
"right, i dont doubt you on that, but what baout the camie thing, and the thing in the car earlier?"
you looked at kirishima with wide eyes, trying to come up with another excuse.
bakugou exhaled. "we are together, idiot. happy now?" his tone was harsh.
kirishima's eyes nearly popped out, and mina leaned forward. "wait really?"
bakugou nodded, before he took a sip of his tea.
"how long?" kirishima asked.
"for like...two months-ish, since that blaze-fuck attacked."
kirishima couldn’t contain himself, grinning ear to ear. "dude! that’s… awesome! i was wondering, like, one day you two were all tense and tight, then another you’re… chill? It makes sense now!"
bakugou’s eyes softened as he reached across the table, fingers brushing against yours under the table. "don’t get used to all this lovey-dovey crap, but… yeah. we’re together."
author note: i do not own any of those images, i simply found them online.
author note: the photo or "y/n" is not meant to represent a certain type of race or people, and is not a self insert. y/n is up to your imagination and what you want, the image i chose is simply the vibe of y/n that i wanted, and the overall "ethereal" feeling.

an -> no smut in this one. aged up eijirou kirishima. tell me if yall want a part two, if not i will end it here as a simple oneshot. little something while i work on part 4 of the bkg series.
wc -> 850
warnings -> cursing, suggestive, tell me if i missed any.
its early in the evening. you are in the kitchen, cooking dinner for your husband after this shift. actually, you arent cooking just anything. but his favorite meal and dessert. gyudon with some apple crumble pie.
your man is a fan of meat dishes and gyudon is one of his favorites. it was currently 20:21 on a nice, slightly chilly evening in august. you had just gotten out the shower, stirring between pans and pots. dressed nicely in a silky navy robe, with your cream coloured slippers. your softly brushed curls bounce with you where ever you move.
by 20:30 you heard the door unlock, signalling that your husband was home. you rushed over to greet him.
"heyyy eiji!!!" you said excitedly, jumping into his arms. no matter how tired he is, he will always catch you.
"heyy baby, you are sure energetic today." he said, rubbing your back gently. you stepped on the floor again.
"of course, today is special after all. what? did you forget?" you said with your hands on your hips.
"i certainly did not, but you couldve for sure made me forget with how beautiful you look." he said with a soft smile, before he stepped a little bit back into the hallway.
"tadaa!!" he said handing you a bouquet of your favorite flowers.
"oh my god, eijirou. they look so beautiful" you took the bouquet into your hands and smelled it. "thank you!!!" you said, giving him a peck on his lips.
"youre welcome. give me some time to change, ill be right with you." he said kicking off his boots and stepping into the nearby bathroom.
"okay! i prepared a bath for you, clean towel is hanging on the rack." you shouted as you stepped once again in the kitchen. placing the flowers in a vase and gently setting it on the dinning table.
after about 30 minutes, kirishima stepped into the living room with a gray tshirt, and black sweats. his hair was down, drying on a towel.
"heyy, what you cooking?" he spoke softly, wrapping his arms around your waist, and burying his head in the crook of your neck. "you smell nice..."
"thank you, baby. im making gyudon for dinner. and for dessert i prepped an apple crumble pie, your favorites!" you said, turning your head just slightly, enough to make eye contact with him.
his eyes softened, that warm, heart-melting look he saves only for you. "you are incredible." he murmured, squeezing your waist a little. "you always take notes of everything."
you laughed quietly. "well. it is our anniversary after all. i wanted it to feel special."
"it already does, always does. even if you dont do anything to make it feel that way." he said, leaning in to kiss your cheek, slow and grateful. a little tired from work but full of love for you. he pulled back only when the smell of food made his stomach growl loud enough for you both to hear.
"hungry, hero?" you looked over your shoulder.
"ive been thinking bout your cooking since lunch" he admitted, rubbing his stomach. "now that i know its gyudon. cmon you should know that i am a simple man."
"well then, eiji. go sit and ill bring everything."
he didnt move, instead he lifted your hand and kissed your knuckles. "let me help you, its our night. we can do it together."
you rolled your eyes, trying to protest, but he was already grabbing chopsticks and setting them neatly beside the plates. his movements were soft and careful. alongside the champagne and some champagne glasses.
when you placed the bowls on the table, he pulled out your chair like the gentleman he always forgot he was.
"thank you, eiji." you said, sitting.
he sat across from you, hands folded, smiling lovingly.
"happy anniversary, baby."
"happy anniversary, eijirou."
you clinked your glasses together, the warm evening glow filling the room. he took a bite, immediately closing his eyes with a satisfied sigh.
"holy… this is amazing. like, ten times better than the last time you made it."
you raised a brow proudly. "that’s because this time i didn’t burn the onions."
he laughed, loud and genuine, leaning back in his chair. "you’re perfect."
then dinner flowed easily, full of soft conversation about his work, his days with the explosive hero he works with, some gentle teasing, and the kind of warmth that made the rest of the world disappear.
when you brought out the apple crumble, his eyes lit up again.
"no way… dessert too?" he said, sitting up straighter. "you’re spoiling me over here."
"maybe a little."
"then im returning the favor after we eat," he whispered with a smirk, cheeks just faintly pink.
you nudged him with your foot under the table. "huh? and what exactly do you mean by that?"
he grinned, slow and boyish, leaning forward with his elbows on the table.
"you’ll see."

you woke up slowly, the sunlight spilling across the bed and catching the soft locks of bakugou’s golden hair. the room smelled faintly of coffee and sex. sitting up, you blinked, trying to remember exactly how you got here, and what exactly had happened.
but the warmth beside you, alongside the nakedness of your body, and the faint rumble of him moving in the kitchen, made it clear. "ahhh, now i remember" you thought.
he turned around on his side and called over his shoulder, voice casual but with a hint of amusement.
“morning, angel. didn’t expect you to be awake already.”
“morning…” you said, rubbing the sleep from your eyes. “i dont know why i am awake so early either..."
bakugou smirked. “figured id have to file in a sick-day for you after what i did to you last night."
you slapped his shoulder and rolled your eyes. you got out of the, putting on a simple white tshirt from his closet, and headed outside the bedroom. as you were making your way down to the kitchen, you were quietly taking in his apartment.
it was surprisingly cozy. sleek furniture coloured in blacks, navys, whites and creams. but personal touches everywhere. a small plant sat by the window, a framed photo of some distant mountain, a sketchbook with pencil marks on the table. a tissue box on the counter. some plants around the entrance.
as you stepped into his living room, to continue observing, he suddenly made his way down to you. "observant little thing, arent you?"
"just admiring your personal taste, boss." you smirked.
"tch, brat. told you to stop calling me that." he told you scoffing, you turned around and to your surprise he was only wearing his boxers.
"go take a shower, ill make some breakfast."
you nodded, making your way upstairs once again. you took of the shirt you were wearing, tossing it in the laundry basket, and hopped into his shower.
you might have not have your personal stuff with you here, but he definitely had some expensive, good quality products. it was clear that he takes care of himself. expensive shampoo, hairmask, conditioner, body wash.
you grabbed an unused loofa from one of his cabinets and used it to scrub away any filth on your skin. as you tossed your hair up, waiting for the conditioner to have an effect.
you rinsed it out and washed your body. soon after you wrapped a clean towel around yourself and stepped out. the floor was warm, perfect for after showering.
suddenly you heard him outside the bathroom. "KATSUKI! COULD YOU BRING ME MY BRA AND THE SMALLEST TSHIRT YOU OWN?" you yelled for him.
"alright." you heard him call back as he was clearly opening some drawers in his bedroom. knocked on the bathroom and handed you some articles of clothing.
your bra, clean socks, a clean pair of the smallest boxers he owns, a small tshirt and some sweatpants.
as you got dressed, you looked in the mirror. the fit didnt look to bad. just not professional enough for the office as it looked more casual. but at least you had comfortable clothes that fit you.
you blowdried your hair and smoothed it out with a brush. applying some oil to its ends. then you applied some light makeup from your pouch from last night. some lipgloss, eyebrow gel and mascara.
once you finished showering and getting dressed, you went back downstairs.
only to see katsuki changed with damp hair.
"did you shower?" you asked, sitting on the island stool.
"indeed. used half the time you did." he nodded as you scoffed at him.
you continued eyeing him down, damp messy hair, black compression shirt, muscles on display.
"are you hungry, or are you gonna keep eyeing me?" he asked sarcastically.
“a little of both,” you admitted, smiling.
he laughed, the sound low and warm. “fine. breakfast is ready very soon."
you watched him move, effortless, precise, confident even in the mundane. you caught yourself thinking about how those same hands had held you last night, how his chest had felt pressed to yours. the thought made your stomach twist in a familiar, nervous excitement.
“here,” he said, sliding a plate toward you. “eggs, toast, juice."
“thank you,” you said softly, watching him pour coffee and taking a seat next you. “you really cook, katsuki?”
“don’t get used to it,” he muttered, but the slight grin on his lips betrayed him.
you breakfast ate together, stealing glances when he wasn’t looking. every subtle brush of fingers, every shared look, sent tiny sparks through you.
after breakfast, you washed your hands, fixed your hair once more and added some final touches. you took a moment to admire your reflection, adjusting your outfit, imagining his eyes on you. he appeared in the doorway, puffer jacket wrapped around his body, gym bag on his shoulder
“you ready to go,” he said, eyes narrowing slightly. ruffling your hair a bit.
Your cheeks warmed. “yeah, although i wouldnt have minded a sick day” you murmured.
he rolled his eyes, "f course."
during the drive to work, there was a comfortable tension in the car. he hummed softly to himself while driving, the faint scent of his cologne making your chest race. he glanced at you every so often, smirking. "you nervous?"
"a little,” you admitted. “it’s… weird being around you like this."
“relax,” he said, but there was a teasing lilt in his tone. "i aint gonna bite you"
you nodded, biting your lip, your heart pounding with anticipation.
as he parked in the underground parking. you both used the elevator to make your way up.
once the elevator reached the ground floor, you both stepped out. and headed different direction to avoid suspiciousness.
as always bakugous agency is full with energy, papers rustling, phones ringing. a middle-aged man muttering complaints about deadlines, a young woman tapping furiously at her keyboard, someone humming a song too loudly while making coffee.
as you made your way to your office, bakugou was already there. standing by the wooden hanger, taking off his jacket.
you made your way to your own desk and did the same. slipping off your purse and emptying the papers inside.
bakugou appeared by your desk, leaning in slightly, voice low. “ready to survive another day?”
you smiled, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. “with you around, probably.”
he smirked, eyes flicking over your face. “careful, i might start expecting that.”
you sighed. "i just wish i had my own clothes with me right now."
he laughed a little, then made his way to his desk. and started responding to emails.
after a couple of hours of endless coffee trips, papers being handed to you by your boss to give to team leaders, and filed reports. you finally decided to take a break.
it was 14:00 and the day so far had been very relaxed compared to some others.
kirishima then stepped into you and bakugous shared office, giving dynamight a nod, then making his way to your office. kirishima knocked on the glass door playfully, before you smiled at him and let him in.
"morning y/n! how are you doing today?" he asked cheerfully, taking a seat on one of the stools. "doing good, how about yourself eijirou?" you said, looking up from your small lunch box.
"doing good myself. thank you for asking, i came here to inform you of something." he said, digging through the folders of papers he was carrying with him.
"which is?" you asked, with a gentle smile on your face. you are always kind to eijirou. as he is one of the only few people whom understand you well in this agency.
"take a look, yourself. or ill just read it out for you." he handed you small binder of papers.
you read the sender. the hero committee.
thoughts were rushing through your head,
was the villain documents not approved?
are they not counting katsukis wins?
"eijirou..tell me what is this about, i cant be asked to read on my break." you told him anxiously.
he chuckled, "relax. nothing too serious. but today they sent a similar mail to every hero agency, informing that the portal for case, including villain, saving and other submissions by pro-heros is now officially closed for the year. since the full meeting and the final count of every hero's statistics and ranks will be happening in three weeks."
you exhaled, relieved by the information.
"that being said, they are going to send an agent from the hero committee to evaluate this agency's public image reports. alongside prepping the team leaders, lead secretary, aka you. as well as dynamight and myself for interviews to make sure we present well. our agnet is camie utsushimi, it says at the end of the paper."
you nodded, smiling at kirishima. "alright well, that sounds wonderful."
kirishima brightened somehow even more, "right? i thought so too. i mean..interviews kind of stress me out, but im working on my posture and what i say...and mina keeps telling me to smile like a golden retriver."
"see i knew you were dating Mina.. you just refused to tell me" you smirked at him, crossing your arms.
his face grew red. "uhh- yes omg, i guess i really forgot to do that, huh?..but yes. we have been together for a little bit now. even thought we have known each other forever."
your face softened. "aww..happy for you both."
"but i think the public likes your golden retriever smile."
he rubbed the back of his neck. cheeks warming. "thank you..it means alot coming from the lead secretary-slash-powerhouse of this place."
you rolled your eyes affectionately. "i’m literally just organizing paperwork.”
"and keeping katsuki from blowing up the interns," kirishima corrected, holding up a finger. "don’t sell yourself short."
you snorted. "fair enough."
he nodded once, satisfied, then gathered the documents into a neat stack.
"anyways.. camie should be here in like… an hour or two. they gave a window, but i know how she is. she might show up early. or even late. or with glitter. or all three.”
"that’s not reassuring," you muttered.
kirishima burst into warm laughter. "yeah, I know. it might even go left considering camie and bakugou had...history.." he winked.
you raised a brow. "History?"
"He’s gonna be so mad at me" he paused. "they dated back when we were in UA. but they didnt last very long, a couple of months before she..allegedly cheated on him with Shindo Yo. today knows as pro-hero Grand."
you stared into space for a second, before you hummed a little. "hmmm....i seeee"
kirishima then looked at you and you both shared a laugh. "remember if anything goes wrong, just hide behind bakugou, he'll fix it."
you two shared another laugh, the tension fading into something light and comfortable before he finally excused himself to go brief the rest of the team.
only an hour passed before the front desk sent a message through your office tablet:
"committee representative camie utsushimi has arrived."
you exhaled, then peeked through the glass wall. you were supposed to take her in and welcome her. then, the elevator dinged, and she stepped out.
camie walked out like she owned the place.
she was dressed in a fitted cream blazer, matching skirt, long glossy curls bouncing behind her. two committee assistants followed her, one with a tablet, one with a stack of forms.
her perfume hit the room before she did, sweet, heavy, sugary.
kirishima appeared in the hallway, waving her over politely.
"camie! welcome to dynamight’s agency!, long time no see!"
"heyyy, Kirishimaa~!"she cooed, twirling a strand of hair around her finger. "s’been sooo long, right?" she said, throwing herself into his arms for a hug.
"heyyy...lets take it slow." he tried to be polite, pushing her gently away from him.
you stood, smiling at her. she didn’t greet you.
instead, her eyes immediately darted past you, toward Bakugou’s office.
of course.
kirishima cleared his throat, gently redirecting.
“why don’t we head to the conference room? everyone’s waiting.”
“sure thing!”
her heels clicked like gunshots as she entered.
team leaders filed in, discussing between some papers. they were sat across the table, you and kirishima on either side of bakugou.
bakugou arrived last, sauntering in with a bored expression. until he saw who the representative was.
his whole face soured.
camie brightened like a damn firework.
“katsukiiii~! long time, no seeee!” she went up to him to hug him, but he just went right past her to his seat.
bakugou crossed his arms slowly.
you, bakugou, kirishima, the team leaders, and the committee assistants settled around the table.
camie cleared her throat and switched into her “professional voice,”
"okayyy, team! So I’m here on behalf of the hero committee to do a mini-evaluation. basically, i’ll be checking public image reports, communication patterns, interview readiness, and, like, your agency vibe. essentially"
bakugou muttered under his breath,
"what the hell is an ‘agency vibe’…"
camie ignored him and continued, flipping through her holographic tablet.
"so! here’s the deal. In the next three weeks, you’ll need:
• updated case summaries
• new media-approved hero statements
• public-friendly quirk explanations
• polished interview answers
• and, like, zero chaos.
she glanced directly at bakugou.
bakugou glared.
"…tch."
kirishima raised a hand eagerly. "we’re already prepping the paperwork! Y/N is helping coordinate all the files-"
camie’s eyes finally flicked to you, scanning you up and down.
"oh riiiight, you’re the lead secretary. cute outfit."
it wasn’t a compliment.
You smiled politely anyway. "thanks. we’re ready to cooperate fully."
"great! then let’s begin the data check, bakugou, you come with me for a sec."
your stomach tightened.
but bakugou didn’t move.
he stared her down with a coldness even you felt across the room.
"nah. do it here."
camie blinked, caught off guard.
“oh… okayyy. sure."
she went over statistics, numbers, image guidelines, and communication templates.
you took notes. kirishima asked questions. team leaders chimed in.
camie acted completely professional. at first.
but as her three-hour evaluation wrapped up… the shift happened.
she shut her tablet with a soft click and swayed, as the team leaders had began leaving the meeting room, returning to their tasks.
as well as camie's assistants who informed her they were heading to another agency to repeat the process, and that they would be waiting for her in the parking lot.
"so katsuki… you’ve… changed. got all buff and serious~,” she giggled, touching his arm lightly.
bakugou’s eye twitched.
kirishima came over to you, to have a few chats with you about the meeting. but also feeling like your vibe has changed a little bit.
camie leaned in even more, practically breathing on him.
"you shoulda visited me sometime. y’know… we used to be sooo close."
bakugou stepped aside, jaw tightening.
"back up."
"aww c’mon~ still so shy? you were way more relaxed when we dat-"
"camie," he snapped sharply. "you’re here for work."
She pouted dramatically, flicking her hair.
"ughhh, soooo cold. relax, im just teasing."
kirishima cleared his throat nervously. "uhh, camie, do you need us to sign anything before you go?"
"oh! right right."
she gave him a bright smile, but her eyes slid right back to bakugou.
when the forms were signed, she stood in front of Bakugou again, her voice sugary sweet.
"let’s grab lunch sometime, katsuki~ just like old times. i’ll text you, okay?”
bakugou didn’t answer. still sat in his place. as you and kirishima collected your things.
you stiffened, but didn’t speak.
camie noticed.
she smirked at you. knowingly.
"byeee everyone~"
the door closed.
the atmosphere was uncomfortable. tight. thick.
kirishima let out a breath. "well… that was… something." as you both stood by the door, ready to leave.
bakugou stood still, jaw locked, eyes dark.
you swallowed and finally asked, voice low:
“…why is she so close to you?”
his head turned sharply toward you.
and the air shifted.
bakugou let out a sharp breath, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
you and kirishima both turned toward him, waiting. even though kirishima somewhat knew what had happened.
kirishima finally broke the silence.
"okay, go ahead and explain to y/n your previous relation with camie. and also explain to me why the fuck she kept targeting y/n on everything. can someone explain to me what the HELL that was. because camie was acting like she owned the place. and like she-" he pointed between you and bakugou "-knew something i didn’t."
bakugou scoffed. "yeah? Because she thinks she does."
you crossed your arms, trying to keep your voice steady.
"so… what exactly is your history with her?" you asked, even though you already had an idea.
he looked at you, then looked away. jaw tight.
"fine. whatever. i’ll explain."
Bakugou sighed.
"she’s was from a different school when i went to UA. we trained together a couple times. it wasnt anything serious. but she flirted with me nonstop.”
kirishima’s mouth dropped. "WHAT? And you never told me?!"
"i thought you had liked her and now you are acting like nothing?"
bakugou glared. "because it was nothing."
you raised an eyebrow. "did you… flirt back?"
"not really.” his answer was immediate. firm.
"i mean i would be lying if i said i didnt give in eventually. but at he start i wasnt really interested. till she kept showing up, flirting with me, talking to me, and then one day she asked me out. and i just said why not. see where this could go."
bakugou muttered, thumb tapping impatiently against his thigh.
"then after a couple of months of us seeing each other n gettin to know each other n shit. deku spots her with shindo, or grand or whatever his fuckass name is.”
your eyes widened. "what?"
"yeah, even though they were both aware of what they were doing."
"fast forward to the end of UA. shindo cheated on her, then he fell down the hero charts. while i kept on climbing them."
kirishima let out a low whistle. "damn… that explains why she was all over you earlier."
"and why she kept staring at y/n like she wanted to bite her,” kirishima muttered under his breath.
bakugou’s head whipped toward you.
"tch, don’t take any of her bullshit seriously. she’s weird. and she sure as hell doesn’t mean anything to me."
you opened your mouth, then closed it again, his tone had softened just a bit.
then for some seconds there was awkward tension. kirishima glanced between the two of you. sort of connecting the dots. but deciding to let it go.
kirishima then, smiling cluelessly, clapped you both on the shoulders.
"WELL! that was… wow. a lot. but hey! we’ve got work! media prep! interview notes! stress!”
you laughed despite everything. "yeah. right."
"let’s go, eijirou,” you said, nudging him.
kirishima grinned and followed you out, talking loudly about scheduling and speech drafts and last-minute reports.
bakugou stayed behind for a moment, staring at the closed door with an expression somewhere between annoyed and protective.
then he muttered under his breath,
"like hell i’m letting that girl mess with anything…"
and he got up, hands in pockets, heading after you.
you stepped into the hallway with kirishima, both of you walking slowly, your minds still replaying every second of the evaluation.
kirishima nudged you lightly.
"hey… you okay?"
you forced a tight smile. "yeah. just tired."
"today was… a lot," he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. "i hate seeing you uncomfortable."
your expression softened. "you’re sweet."
he grinned, dramatically, like a proud retriever.
“i try.”
you tried making a joke to lighten the mood. "pro-hero pinky scored with this one."
he chuckled "she scored the manliest of them."
bakugou finally stepped out of the conference room, shutting the door behind him with a quiet click.
he looked calmer. not relaxed, just… collected. like he had decided something.
when his eyes found you, he straightened slightly.
“oi,” he called, voice low. “come here for a sec.”
kirishima gave you a look that said i’ll go pretend to do paperwork somewhere else, winked, and walked off.
you approached bakugou slowly, folding your arms.
“yeah?”
he studied your face. not your expression, your face. like he needed to see every detail of your reaction.
“you’re pissed,” he said.
you exhaled. “i’m not pissed. i just-”
“don’t lie,” he cut in softly. “you’re pissed.”
your jaw clenched. “fine. i didn’t like the way she acted around you. it felt… disrespectful.”
“she’s always been annoying.” his voice dropped to something rougher. “doesn’t mean i’m entertainin’ it. or will be.”
that made something warm flicker in your stomach.
you looked down at your shoes. “it’s just weird feeling. i don’t want to feel stupid.”
bakugou’s brows furrowed. “hey.”
you looked up.
“you’re not stupid,” he said, voice rough but soft in the middle. “don’t ever say that.”
you swallowed, throat suddenly tight.
he didn’t stop there. he leaned down slightly, lowering his face so he could look directly into your eyes.
“i’m not lookin’ at anyone but you.” his tone wasn’t teasing or cocky, just honest. painfully honest.
“got it?”
you froze. not because you didn’t believe him..but because you did.
“katsuki…” you breathed.
you felt everything you wanted to say rising in your throat, all tangled and warm and terrifying.
he opened his mouth again.
like he was going to say something real. something big. something he’d regret or something you’d replay forever.
but then:
"DYNAMIGHT SIR! You got a sec?”
someone’s voice echoed down the hallway.
he closed his eyes, jaw tightening in annoyance.
“…you gotta be kidding me.”
you stepped back quickly, the spell breaking.
he sighed. “whatever. i’ll handle this shit later.”
the rest of the afternoon crawled by.
the agency had that late-day heaviness, lights dimming slightly, workers stretching, some complaining about overtime, someone arguing with the printer, someone else reheating noodles that smelled way too strong.
you were drowning in reports again, but your mind was still half somewhere else.
every time bakugou walked past your office, he glanced inside.
every. single. time.
at 18:40, the sky outside tinted orange, your tablet buzzed with the daily end-of-shift summary.
you exhaled, leaning back in your chair.
kirishima passed by your door and waved tiredly.
from across the office, bakugou stood, stretching his shoulders, rolling his neck to the side. then he made his way to you.
slow steps. hands in his pockets.
he stopped in front of your desk.
“you done?” he asked.
“almost,” you said, finishing a line of typing. “why?”
he shrugged slightly. “thought maybe you’d… come over. we could eat, unwind. talk if you want.”
your heart pulled in two directions. wanting him, and needing space to breathe.
you set your pen down and looked up at him.
“i… think i just want to go home tonight.”
bakugou blinked slowly. processing.
“yeah?” he asked quietly. then he leaned against the edge of your desk, arms crossed, eyes narrowing. “so… you’re just gonna go home after this? that it?”
you nodded. “just… today was a lot. i need time to clear my head. plus i need to change out of your clothes."
he looked at the floor for a second. stepping closer, voice low but intense. “come on. just… come home with me. i’ll make dinner, you can shower, relax. why fight me on this?”
you blinked at him. “i’m not fighting you, i’m just saying i want to enjoy my own company today. we are acting like we can never see each other again."
then he nodded once. firm. accepting.
“i’ll drive you.”
“you don’t have to—”
“i’m driving you.”
your lips twitched upward. “fine.”
"good girl."
you cringed and he laughed.
the ride in the car felt different from the morning.
the tension wasn’t uncomfortable, it was intimate. a silent acknowledgment that something had shifted.
bakugou held the wheel with one hand, wrist resting low, driving smoothly for once. the faint glow of passing streetlights brushed across his face.
you stared out the window for a bit, then finally said softly:
“i’m not mad at you. you didn’t do anything wrong.”
“didn’t say i did,” he muttered with a smirk on his face.
you smiled at the window. “you’re impossible.”
“and you’re dramatic.” he said, putting a hand on your left thigh.
you narrowed your eyes. “i’m being honest-”
“i know,” he interrupted. “i’m not makin’ fun of you.”
you turned to him, and he looked at you just long enough for the sincerity to register.
“i just… didn’t like seein’ that look on your face,” he said quietly. “the one you got when she walked up to me.”
your breath caught.
“katsuki…”
“whatever. we’re fixin’ it. no more thinkin’ about that idiot.”
you looked away, smiling softly.
he parked in front of your building, engine humming lowly. it was only 20:00.
for a moment, neither of you moved. then he turned to you, leaning back against his seat.
“so you’ll… text me?” his voice was lower, almost careful.
“no,” you said jokingly. “of course not, why would i ever text you.”
he nodded, lips pressing together. then he reached out, brushing a loose strand of hair behind your ear. he slowly kissed your lips.
“go inside before i change my mind and drag you back to my place.”
you laughed, cheeks warm. “goodnight, katsuki.”
you opened the door, stepping out into the cool night air.
he waited until you were inside the building before driving off.
you unlocked the door, and stepped inside your home. you exhaled and felt at ease. you drank a glass of water and head to your bedroom and changed into some comfortable pjs.
stepping into the bathroom to brush your teeth, and do your skincare.
by the time you were making your way to your bed. your phone buzzed.
katsuki <3: you home?
you smiled.
me: yes
another message came almost instantly.
katsuki <3: …look. sorry about today. didn’t mean for things to get weird. im not very good with this shit in person, so ill use whatever resources to express how i feel. but all i know is that i dont want you to be sad again, even as slightly as earlier today.
you bit your lip, heart softening.
me: it’s okay. it wasn’t your fault. im not mad, and im not thinking about it anymore. so you can relax.
katsuki <3: still pissed she made you uncomfortable. i’ll handle it. don’t worry.
you exhaled slowly, warmth curling in your stomach.
me: i’m not worried. goodnight, katsuki.
katsuki <3: goodnight, angel.
your heart did a quiet flip.

your shared apartment with your husband was always quiet around this time. the clock on your wall is barley hitting nine pm. and you are sitting on the couch like always. finished making food for both yourself and your husband. finished cleaning and showering as well.
basically, all of your everyday main tasks were checked out. the tv infront of you is playing some soft music.
shouta aizawa has been coming home late everyday the last couple weeks. he claims that it is because of an increase in villains therefore he is obligated to patrol more often to cover more areas.
as a non-hero, you appreciate what the heros do for civilians. however, some of your neediness to your husband were kicking in. especially after multiple weeks of minimal affection and attention from him.
suddenly, you hear the lock twisting and someone walking in. then you hear a familiar sigh. you do not look up from the tv when he makes his way over to the living room.
"hey, you're home early." you say, voice flat.
aizawa sighs, tired as always. his long hair falling into his face. "patrol luckily ended early."
you nod and give him a small hum. your eyes still not meeting his. "well, thats good for you. food is ready and on the counter whenever you are."
he catches your subtle annoyed tone. "what's that supposed to mean exactly?"
you shrug, "nothing. i just didnt think you remembered what early even was..."
he runs a hand over his face, frustration and guilt blending together. “i told you, y/n. it’s been busy lately. you know..with all the threats and attacks happening in the city.”
"yeah i get that..but it feels like you its always busy. you are always busy.." you sigh a little bit. stopping yourself, debating whether you should continue or not.
"it is like there is always trouble, a villain or someone who needs saving and cannot wait. but i feel like its not fair...." your eyes finally meet his. "like you never catch a break..are there no other heros?"
"y/n..its not about how many heros there are, its about experience. while the older heros are out, they are simultaneously training the upcoming ones so nobody overworks theirselves." he said, sighing and making his way closer to you.
you nod to what he is saying. showing that you are understanding what he is trying to say. but the ache in your heart doesnt fade. "i know..and i respect what you do for the city. its just-" you pause, deciding not to continue.
"its fine, im sorry for overreacting." as you got up, he caught your wrist.
"just what?" he asks, with a serious tone.
"i-it just..just feels like you are giving the best parts of yourself to everyone else, and i get what is left after your tired day to put your pieces back together for the next."
he slowly lets go of your wrist. "thats not true."
"isn't it?" you whisper. "you come home exhausted and half-asleep which is again, understandable. you barley talk due to waves of tiredness washing over you. i know you are doing important stuff out there and saving the world. b-but.. its doesnt mean that i dont miss you much, shouta. i miss feeling like i also mattered to you."
he exhales, quiet but heavy. “you do matter, y/n.”
you shake your head, staring down at your hands. “sometimes it doesn’t feel like it. no matter what you say."
"shouta..you are a pro-hero. strong, calm and respected. everyone looks at you and admire you for who you are. you do deserve all of it and more, you really do." you sigh, looking away, eyes beginning to tear up.
"b-but then there is me..i dont save anyone. i dont have people relying on me or any of that sort. i just try to live on and about my day and do my best to make your life as easy as possible. trying not to add any more burdens on your already tough life."
he moves closer, embracing you in a hug. "you are not a burden to me, never."
“then why do i feel like i have to fight for your attention most of the time?” your voice cracks, eyes glistening. “maybe you’d be better off with someone who understands your world. someone who actually gets what it’s like to be a hero.”
aizawa’s brow furrows, his tone steady but filled with something raw. “don’t ever say that.”
you blink, startled.
he kneels slightly, making sure you’re looking at him. “i don’t want another hero. i don’t need someone who understands my job. i need someone who reminds me there’s more to life than patrols and villains. you’re the reason i come home at all.”
his words hang heavy between you, quiet but real.
you swallow hard, nodding, then whispering, “then why does it still hurt?”
he lets out a small breath, sitting you both on the couch, close enough that your knees touch. “because i’ve been failing you,” he admits, voice low. “i thought working harder would protect the people i care about, including you, but in reality, all i’ve done is push you away.”
you look at him, really look at him. his tired eyes, his messy hair, the guilt sitting behind his calm expression.
“i just want to feel like i still have you,” you say softly.
he reaches out, fingers brushing yours, a faint tremor in his hand. “you do,” he murmurs. “you always have.”
he exhales again, long and heavy. "i know i’ve been distant, and i hate that. but it’s not because of you. it’s because i keep thinking i have to be everything for everyone. somehow i forget that i already have everything i need when i walk through that door.”
"y/n."
"yes?"
"im sorry that i made you forget how important you are to me."
your breath trembles a little, "then remind me."
quickly his lips crash onto yours, embracing your lips in a kiss. at first it was slow, taking his sweet time. then it grew needier over time, mainly from you, needing to feel him more.
"shouta. if you are exhauste-"
"no, gotta remind my wife exactly who she is." he states confidently, leading you both to your bedroom.
"you havent eaten yet though..the food will get cold." you explained, concerned for his sake.
"ill do that later, i gotta much more of an important task to do right now." he says, laying on the mattress.
taking his shirt off alongside his belt and trousers. leaving himself in his boxers.
leaning down, to capture your lips once again. you moaned into the kiss. "shouta-" you whispered as his kissed began trailing from your lips, down to your jaw and all the way to your chest.
he lifted your shirt off, and pulled down your sweatpants. taking one of your bare breasts in his hand and massaging the mound as you moaned with every move.
"fuck..shouta. please..need you."
"relax. ill give you exactly what you need."
he said, taking his boxers off. he was already semi-hard. he also helps you out of your panties and throws both clothing articles somewhere.
bringing one of his hands down again to massage your other breast while his fingers on the other hand work on touching your clit.
"daddy-please..need you already."
"alright, sweetheart. just be patient a little, okay?"
his fingers on your clit were speeding up, rubbing the circles a little faster. making you closer with each move. he then slowly slipped in a finger, preparing you for the stretch of his dick.
"fuck..im gon- please.." you whimpered for him, needy to cum on his fingers.
"yeah, let go for me. come on my fingers, sweetheart." he said encouraging you, slipping a second finger in.
you moaned loudly with your high, your back slightly arching off the bed and toes curling.
your breathing was unstable at first. but as soon as your breathing went back to normal. aizawa was on your neck again, sucking and biting on the sensitive flesh. as soon as he was done, he soothed the spot with his tongue and saliva, continuing to trail kisses down your neck, while holding your hand tightly.
"fuck, you ready for me?" aizawa said, lining himself at your hole.
"im ready, daddy...please i need you so baa-" the end of your sentence was cut off by a moan. caused by aizawa inching his dick inside of you. slowly.
"ahh..fuck, how are you so damn tight all the fucking time?" he hissed as he grabbed your hips and began moving slowly once he bottomed out.
"you feel so good, shouta. so big.."
he chuckled. "fuck, i missed this feeling, baby..." aizawa said as he began speeding up his thrusts. making your toes curl harder, your eyes squeeze shut and your hands finding their way to his hair and tugging harshly.
you are spread out beneath aizawa. at this point, you needed him impossibly deeper inside of you that you locked your legs around him. both of your hands still harshly tugging on his locks.
he is fighting to let go of his own sounds as well. gritting his teeth to swallow the moans, his hips were slapping desperately against yours. your back is arching into him and your eyes are squeezed shut so hard you are sure you are going to see weird shapes when you open them.
"fuck, baby. you feel so fucking good." he whispers into your ears. his hips still rocking against you. his hands glued to your hips.
once he started hitting a special spot inside of you, you moaned his name so loudly.
"fuck- shouta..you feel so- ahh, ahh, so fucking good..fuck-"
"yeah? always a good girl for me, screaming loud to make sure you let everyone know who is fucking you this good."
your sounds makes him groan. making him speed up his thrusts, as he was chasing his high.
"fuck me, baby.." he says softly, his eyes meeting yours. "you have been all lonely waiting for me like this. hmm? soaked just from thinking about me coming home to you, hmm? fucking you this good after patrol."
you nod helplessly, chasing your high. your lip formed an "o" as he circles your clit again with slow, firm pressure. a choked sound spilling from your throat, and he smirks, kissing you, swallowing your noises as his fingers tease lower.
it was his turn to clench his eyes now as you were squeezing extremely hard on him, signalling that you were about to come.
"fuck shouta.. gotta cum. please let me cum.."
"yeah, cmon, come for daddy then. be a good girl and do it" he encourages further as you let out a choked moan while you tug harshly at his scalp and bite down on his shoulder.
"fuck- good girl, baby. im bouta come now, will you let me come inside, sweetheart?"
"yes, please come inside me, i need you so badly.."
"shit..im gonna come, take it, baby." he hissed as he spills his hot seed inside of you.
you both take some time to catch your breath before he lays down next you, brining your naked body closer to his own.
after a couple minutes, both of your breathing went back to normal and room was quiet. the faint light from the hallway spills across the sheets. painting you both a soft orange-y brown-ish colour.
aizawas arm is wrapped tightly around you. your head resting against his chest.
neither of you say a word for some time. its not awkward silence. just silence.
his fingers trace lazy circles on your shoulder. “you always think too much after sex,” he murmurs.
you huff a tiny laugh, voice still hoarse. “can’t help it.”
“what’s on your mind this time, hm?” he asks, his tone softer now, less tired than before.
you hesitate, then whisper, “i just don’t ever want to feel like i’m asking for too much.”
he exhales slowly, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “you’re not. i’ve just been too far in my own head to see how much i was neglecting you, you matter to me the most, i want you to be aware of that. always.”
you nod, eyes fixed on the way your fingers play with the fabric of the blanket. “i don’t need constant attention. i just… need you. here. even if it’s quiet.”
he hums low in his throat, pulling you a little closer. “then that’s what i’ll give you. not promises i can’t keep just my best efforts"
you smile faintly, closing your eyes.
aizawa tilts his head to look at you, exhaustion softening into something tender. “you know, for someone who says she’s not a hero, you’ve saved me more than anyone else ever could. from loneliness, depression, demotivation, and much more.”
you glance up at him, eyes stinging a bit again. “you always say things like that right when i’m trying not to cry.”
he chuckles quietly, his thumb brushing along your cheek. “then don’t hold it in.”
you finally let the tears fall, quiet ones that don’t need explanation. he doesn’t say anything at all. he just holds you through it.
when you finally calm down, he whispers against your hair, “i love you."
you nod against his chest, your voice small but certain. “i love you too, shouta. even when you forget to come home early.”
he smiles a little at that, pressing another kiss to your forehead. “i’ll work on that.”
“good,” you whisper, already drifting off in his arms.
for the first time in weeks, the quiet of your apartment feels peaceful again.
