Thinking about hockey without Kopi next season makes me want to die but also it will be business as usual because it's not like hockey media remembered he existed anyway. 🤔🤔🤔
I have always been of the belief that I was happy the Wings drafted hometown boy, Dylan Larkin, in the 2014 draft, despite everything and I would like to formally retract that.
Fuck Larks, why the fuck didn't Detroit take David Pastrnak, who is like an actual ray of sunshine? I like the B's and I was always fine with how the chips fell but now? No, fuck those chips, wtf Detroit.
I want to buy a cigarette from someone so fucking bad right now.
My fellow Wings fans, are y'all okay? I think Larks has just been through some shit recently. But also, I can't say that I'm surprised or disappointed even. Although, sorry B's fans, but I thought Pasta would be the one to want a trade.
That being said, I'm in Chicago for Pokémon Go Fest and there were three shops that had the Wings logo in the window and no Hawks in sight and I definitely cackled.
“Anže Kopitar.
A name that has left a lasting legacy in both Slovenian and global ice hockey. 🇸🇮🏒
After 20 seasons in the NHL, he retires as a true legend, a captain of the @/lakings, a two-time Stanley Cup champion and one of the most complete players of his generation. 👑
His statistics are remarkable, but just as powerful are the values he embodies: fair play, humility and an unwavering commitment to the team.
A Selke Trophy winner as the league’s top defensive forward and a multiple recipient of fair-play honours, he has shown that what matters most is how you play and how you live. Throughout his career, he excelled both on and off the ice. He represented Slovenia at five Wold Championships and at the Olympic Games in Sochi 2014.
In his final game in Los Angeles, he left the ice to a standing ovation, with the respect and admiration of teammates and opponents alike. A farewell worthy of the very greatest.
Each year, he returns home to Slovenia, where in Bled he co-hosts a hockey academy with his national teammate Tomaž Razingar (@/razingar9), passing on his knowledge and experience to new generations.
@/anzekopitar, congratulations on an extraordinary career and thank you for all the unforgettable moments. Wishing you all the best for the journey ahead. 👏👑
Slovenia is and always will be your home. 💚

Quintessential Jonathan Quick is knowing that he probably had to be dragged back from the locker rooms after his last game while the Panthers stood around all confused like "Wait where did he speed off to?"
He looked so disgruntled lol, like I'm sure he appreciates it but this is also the kind of shit that he seems to really dislike.
In other news, Kopi and Quickie are both retired and I'd like to get off of this nightmare train now, thank you.
One last time at home...
So I just got the S26 and transferred all of my stuff over and realized this is the third time I've moved my weirdly large collection of Patrick Kane gifs to a new phone.
Look. I don't know either. Don't fucking ask me, I have nothing. Also, yes, I have all of the games from the Kings' 2012 and 2014 Cup runs on here. Boston sweeping Pittsburgh in 2013. The Wings game against Montreal that made Roy ragequit. Look.
I literally don't know why I still have these gifs. But they kinda just live on my phones now okay.
Man, I was pretty devastated when Z and Pav hung 'em up but I have cried so much over Kopi retiring. Thinking about it is making me tear up again. Ugh.
And just for the record, Zetterberg has always been "oh captain my captain". He was my number one favorite player when he was active. Kopi was second after him. But I don't think I ever cried when Z announced his retirement.
I kinda wonder if it's hitting harder bc Pav and Z are older than me but Kopi and I are the same age? Idk. It sucks and I'm just utterly crushed still.

Welp.
Literally, all my dash is now is non hockey posts and Moritz Seider lol.
