2 years later

I literally went off the grid for 2 years.  i don’t remember why? but I guess life just happened.  I apologize for not being able to reply to messages. I have not been on tumblr for a while.  I was sucked into instagram and snapchat more tbh and have been just figuring out life as most people do.  I shall continue this tumblr account again and hope to help those with korean. Korean and KPOP have been taking the world by storm in the last 2 years and i hope i can still be of help.  Thank you lovelies for following and being patient.

You can reply the same. it just means nice to meet you twice in slang.

뭐 하는 거야? is the phrase that Koreans commonly say in dramas/ movies?

Is this a question or a statement? 

I am not updated on my kdramas and kmovies... but yeah i’ve heard that phrase said a lot. it means “what are you doing?”

I’m Korean American. I went to Korean school once a week after church when I was young.I’m still not good at writing tbh but i’m decent. Many can find Korean school at a Korean church usually if you are interested.

Hello! How are you? I wanted to ask why Koreans add ㅋ at the and of a word, for example "넼" (네+ㅋ). Thank you!

Not all Koreans use that. It’s not a formal grammar use. They are just trying to be cute. you can use ㅇ at the end as well like 네+ㅇ = 넹

hello there! first of all, your blog is really nice and helpful and the explanations are very clear. i'd like to learn korean and get to a medium level of fluency but i don't know where to start. any suggestions or tips?? i already know hangul and some grammar rules. thanks in advance 💕💕💕

You are too kind... especially since i haven’t been on here for a while. If you know the alphabet and grammar rules then all you have to do is practice. Create sentences, read and understand sentences, know some vocabulary. etc. listen or watch kpop/drama and see if you can understand it without subtitles.

안녕하세요 I noticed that in a translation question u romanized something and I have a question lol be im still learning and noticing/trying to remember pronunciation rules and so example: 했어요 One rule is that ㅅ/ㅆ become like ㄷ/ㅌ sound and then also another rule is you carry that 받침 when followed by a vowel so for ㅆ in that word would it be pronounced as 햇서요 or 햇어요? Or just how its spelled but 해써요 If u know😬 감사합니다

lol honestly 햇서요 or 햇어요 sound very similar but you would pronounce it like that. honestly no one talks or read like. this. where. it. is. ve-ry. e-nun-ci-ated.  if you say it smoothly, it’ll be fine as long as you know that there is a double consonant when spelling.  you good :)
