I love you. They’re only three words, but they’re the three truest words I know. And I’ll be saying them to you forever.

YES YES YES I LOVE YOU STEFANI
Skinny shaming is not a thing. Society structurally & systematically benefits the thin woman while marginalizing fat women. The word “fat” is associated with the world “ugly.” Skinny is sexually desirable. Skinny fits into societies beauty standards. Yeah it probably hurt you that someone said you should eat more, but at the end of the day, you’re still shopping at stores like Brandy Melville & Abercrombie. At the end of the day, you can still make the cover of the magazine. & a lot of you can base the argument that thick is in. Breast is in. Ass is in. You know why? Because fuller women are beginning to love themselves. & to say you are being “skinny shamed” is basically saying “wow I’m finally not the only one society thinks is beautiful anymore so let me cry about not having an ass, meanwhile let me still be preferred over fat women.”
The most important thing to develop in human beings is a sense of love, and an understanding of unconditional love. I’m not talking about the love towards a specific person, but love in a general sense; for life, for the planet, for purely existing.

This literally left me in tears.
If owning a gun and knowing how to use it worked, the military would be the safest place for a woman. It’s not. If women covering up their bodies worked, Afghanistan would have a lower rate of sexual assault than Polynesia. It doesn’t. If not drinking alcohol worked, children would not be raped. They are. If your advice to a woman to avoid rape is to be the most modestly dressed, soberest and first to go home, you may as well add “so the rapist will choose someone else”. If your response to hearing a woman has been raped is “she didn’t have to go to that bar/nightclub/party” you are saying that you want bars, nightclubs and parties to have no women in them. Unless you want the women to show up, but wear kaftans and drink orange juice. Good luck selling either of those options to your friends. Or you could just be honest and say that you don’t want less rape, you want (even) less prosecution of rapists.

“An eight year old bride in Yemen died from internal injuries on her wedding night, bleeding to death after deep vaginal tearing caused by sex with her 40 year old husband. … A February 2009 law set the minimum age for marriage at 17, but it was repealed after some conservative lawmakers called it un-Islamic.”
“Every time someone says we don’t need feminism anymore, things like this come to mind. Due to insufficient dowry this young girl’s husband lacerated her face with a razor blade.” (Gwalior - India) - ph. Adrian Fisk
