Biography

Val is a wildling and sister to Dalla. When she was young, her parents had passed away and so she was raised by her sister, Dalla. The two grew up close to each other and had an extremely close relationship with each and always encouraged each other. When Dalla met and wed Mance Rayder, Val was happy for the two of them and wished them to have a good and long marriage. When Mance became King of the Free Folk, she and her sister were often asked for counsel by Mance which made Val being called the Wildling Princess because of her sister’s connection to Mance Rayder.

During War of Five Kings, the Wildling host where attacked in the battle of Castle Black. It was during this time that her sister, Dalla, was giving birth and so Val helped deliver the baby but had lost her sister in the process. When the Wildlings were defeated, Val was taken prisoner and was offered to Jon Snow in a marriage if he became Lord of Winterfell. She refused and so did Jon to her relief but the two did become friends after that. She is beautiful and is part of the reason why the men of the Seven Kingdoms call her a princess but the free folk just call her Dalla’s sister. After she watches “Mance Rayder” burn, Jon informs her of his plan to send Gilly and Sam away with her nephew in place of Gilly’s child. She agreed to this and did care for the baby that was pretending to be her nephew and gave the child the milk name, Monster. Before Monster was a year old he had died of an illness. She grieved for the child and wrote to Gilly to inform her what happened.

After the War, Val has been trying to rebuild the Free Folk and unite them all again. She has been working with Sigorn to help those that want to get into Westeros. After the attack on the Wall by the Others, Val met her real nephew and revealed to him his true name and that he should be the one to unite the Free Folk in the name of his father and she would help him and teach him the ways of the Free Folk.

Jon Snow —  Jon is a close friend of Val’s. She trusts him more than she does any other Crow or person beyond the Wall and will be forever grateful to him for saving her nephew.

Gilly — Gilly and Val became close when she became the milk mother for Darik and wrote frequently to each other as the years went by to keep each other updated on the children and continued to write even after Gilly’s child died.

Darik Rayder— Val has been missing her nephew since the day he went away with Gilly and Sam. Now that he is back with her, she wants him to be the King of the Free Folk.

Biography

Darik Rayder was born in battle and is the only child of Mance Rayder, a former brother of the nights watch, and Dalla, his wife. Mance was King beyond the Wall which made Darik the Prince beyond the Wall. He had never known his mother, even as a baby, as she died giving birth while the battle of Castle Black was happening so Gilly, a wilding and daughter of Craster, had become his wet nurse. The day after Mance Rayder burned for the Red God R’hllor, Jon Snow sent Gilly away with the baby Darik while she was forced to leave her own baby in place of the prince beyond the wall.

Growing up, he was raised by Gilly as her own son even being named Aemon after the old maester that she grew close with. He also grew up believing that he was Samwell Tarly’s bastard son to Gilly as that was what they both told him. As he was growing up as Aemon, Darik saw his father as the positive force throughout his life and that Gilly was always looking sad when she saw him. He never understood it and only asked Sam but Sam would always reply that he would tell him when he was a man grown.

On his sixteenth name day, Sam and Gilly decided to tell Darik the truth about his past and where he came from. Darik took the news well but did not think it real until he met his aunt, Val, from his mother’s side. She was the one to inform him of who he truly was and it was then that he discovered his true name was Darik and not Aemon. After the Wall was attacked and wildlings were blamed, Val had tried to get Darik to follow his father and be true to that legacy by becoming King Beyond the Wall and uniting the Wildlings again. Not for war but to prove their innocence and make the Wildlings and Free Folk strong again. Darik wants to be like his true father and wants to learn more about his birth parents.

Val —  Val is Darik’s aunt and the only blood from his real parents that he knows. She will be his guide for introducing him to the Wildlings and helping Darik in uniting them.

Samwell Tarly — Darik grew up believing that Sam was his father. Sam taught Darik a few things that he knew in his training of becoming a maester. Just a few things on how to look after his wounds.

Gilly — As his mother, Darik thought that Gilly was always sad and a little distant to him which affected his bond with his mother and made them a little estranged to each other.

Biography

Born of a spellsinger and a priestess in Assai, Arrei knew from the moment she born that she would be trained to be a red priestess. She had no mother to raise her as her mother died giving birth and her father did care for her but died before she reached her second name day. Arrei was a rare child in that she was born and raised in Asshai but instead of knowing and playing with other children, she studied along with priestesses about R’hllor and saw all the priests, priestess, spellsingers,  aeromancers and warlocks practice their skills and was captivated by all of it. Since she grew up seeing flames from birth, the fire brings her comfort to be around.

From a young girl she had begun her training to be a priestess of R’hllor and at the age of eighteen, the War of Five Kings broke out but she had no part or opinion on it, she was focused on her studies. During this time, she had heard about Melisandre and the power that priestess had and admires her for it which makes her believe that Stannis Baratheon is Azor Ahai reborn. During this time, she had decided to learn to become a shadowbinder since it would be a rare skill in Assai and she wanted to be as powerful as Melisandre or close to that power.

For the fifteen years later that followed after the war, Arrei continued on her studies eventually becoming a shadowbinder but following her idol, she does not wear the typical laxquered mask that hides her face but does wear the same ruby on her throat. When she heard that the Wall was breached and the rumors of Others, she decided to make her way to Westeros to aid Melisandre as she now does not believe that Stannis Baratheon is Azor Ahai reborn and she does not believe that he is at the Wall.

Melisandre of Asshai — Melisandre is someone that Arrei has always looked up to. Arrei aspires to be like Melisandre and sees how powerful the other priestess is.

Jon Snow — She does not believe Jon Snow is Azor Ahai reborn but does believe him to be quite powerful.  With the Others breaking through the Wall so easily, she believes Azor Ahai is not at the Wall.

Biography

Asher was always the odd one out in the Forrester line. Where his elder brother was doing his lordly training, Asher was more interested in the things he considered finer. Wine, Women and fighting. It caused far too much trouble for the Forrester Household, who at that moment in time, were in the business for Ironwood, and selling it to far most houses in the North. Being the second born, Asher felt far too out of place in his family. At that age, he was expected to be lordly – to be prepared for the future, and willing to do whatever he wanted. Being the young age of 18, he found comfort in the Lady of House Whitehill. Gwyn was the kind of person he needed in his life. She was calm, She didn’t care about who he was and how he went about things – but it caused more trouble than needed.

When Lord Whitehill found out, all out war was about to start and to save his family trouble – Gregor Forrester exiled Asher to Essos. During the war of the Five Kings, He enjoyed the things that he wasn’t allowed. He made his money doing what he enjoyed. Becoming a sellsword, it probably wasn’t the best idea. His loyalties though, were still with the heart of the King in the North. People were after his blood, but none of them knew of his noble title. It was like being someone completely different, and that was why he stayed until the War was over. He only found out after the news from his mother, through Malcolm, her brother – that Gregor, his brother Rodrik and younger brother Ethan had been slain, and the Whitehills were out to cause more trouble. Supporting the Starks did have it’s downsides. “We’re not being lead by a child.” It set a fire in Asher’s stomach, one that took him back to Westeros.

Now, with the death of Lord Whitehill and the threat of them leaving, Asher is now Lord of Ironrath – the hold of House Forrester and is running it the way that his father would want. Asher is fine staying out of the way, only sending out soldiers when they’re needed and supplying Ironwood shields to Northern families, and anyone that pays with enough gold. It’s not really what he wanted, being a lord, but it only seems right considering his younger brother, Ryon isn’t suitable. The future is a dark path. At least that’s what it seems to Asher. The kingdoms, albeit stable for now, won’t last in his head – and he’s seen what war can do. Asher holds so many ambitions, ones that he hopes he can finish in the name of his father. His main one right now, is keeping the Ironwood busy steady, and if possible, keeping close contact with the Woman that had him kicked out of Ironrath all those years ago

Ethan Forrester —  Ethan was the typical younger brother. Asher was overly protective, and was even willing to beat someone close to death for him, and when he died, it set a fire under Asher’s ass. He was going to protect Ironrath for the name of Ethan

Beshka — Beshka is the older sister that Asher always wanted. They looked out for each other in Essos, and Asher couldn’t have been more thankful for that.

Biography

At the age of thirteen, Eleyna’s life changed drastically when her eldest sister, Jeyne Westerling, married the King of the North, making her the sister of a rebel queen. At first, Eleyna disapproved of Jeyne’s decision to marry Robb as House Westerling were sworn to House Lannister but for the support of her sister and bidding of her mother, Eleyna kept quiet. During the time that Jeyne served as queen, Eleyna followed her sister to the Riverlands, to help her in any way that she was able but due to her young age and inexperience, Eleyna left most of those things to her lady mother, Lady Sybell. Eleyna was staying at Riverrun while Jeyne and Robb attended the wedding of Edmure Tully and Roslin Frey and upon hearing te news that Robb Stark had lost and that his queen was dead, Eleyna was devastated to lose her sister, something she had never truly got over.

Lord Gawen, his wife Sybell, and their two remaining children are welcomed back into the king’s peace after the Red Wedding. Lady Sybell had informed Cersei Lannister of her involvement in Robb’s undoing and the prevention of an heir to the Northern throne, Eleyna was unofficially engaged to Tommen Baratheon, Cersei’s youngest son but once Robb returned and defeated House Lannister, Sybell returned to the Crag with her children and the bodies of Jeyne and Raynald. The two were buried in different places, to ensure that no wolf could get their claws into Jeyne or the family once. The ceremony for both children was strictly for the primary members of their house, to make sure no news leaked from within. While under the influence of her mother, Eleyna grew into a woman who hated the Stark’s and more so, the king. House Westerling had lost almost everything, their children, their king and now their standing in the Westerlands. Though they remained to be a noble house, their reputation had been lost with Jeyne and Raynald. The Crag was no longer a welcoming place, for Eleyna it was a constant reminder of Jeyne’s mistake, a mistake that had lead their house into ruin from the moment her sister decided to lay with the rebel king.

The Westerlings’ fortunes have faltered over the years, with lands and mines being sold until the Westerlings were reduced to little wealth and influence. They now scarcely have the funds to maintain their keep, which is more ruin than stronghold, and are regarded as having more pride than power, though many do not hold them in that regard anymore and has branded Sybell and Gawen as turncloaks and traitors to the realm. With Renly and Margaery now as their kings and queen, Elenya has yet to be at their royal court and like her mother, she prays in hopes that House Lannister will return glorious with an iron fleet to help them take back the kingdoms and Eleyna hopes to marry into the family. Even though Tommen is a bastard, Eleyna was told that he was the one who would carry the lions into a new era and under the advice of her mother, that she may be the one to give him his golden lion legacy.

Biography

House Mallister of Seagard is one of the most prominent and well-respected houses from the Riverlands. Their house dates from before Aegon’s Conquest and their ancestral seat of Seagard is a fortress built to defend the coast against the reavers from the Iron Islands. During the reign of King Torgon Greyiron, House Mallister conquered most of the Cape of Eagles from the Iron born. During Aegon’s Conquest, House Mallister rebelled against King Harren the Black of Harrenhal and Jeffory Mallister was one of the companions of Brandon Stark that were accused of treason. He was executed by order of King Aerys II Targaryen. During the Baratheon era, House Mallister defended Seagard against the Greyjoy Rebellion as Lord Jason Mallister slew Rodrik Greyjoy.

Bryce Mallister is the only son of Lord Patrek Mallister and Jacline Wull, a woman of no notable birth but of rich means. Bryce was only fifteen years old when the war of five kings had started and had joined his father, Patrek, who had been asked to accompany Lord Edmure Tully to the Twins for his wedding to Roslin Frey. Unlike most of Robb’s party, Patrek and Bryce survived the Red Wedding and both were taken captive at the Twins. For almost a year, both Lord Patrek and his son were held captive at the Frey’s though were not treated as bad as some of their fellow men, which was simply due to respect to House Mallister and all they had done for the Riverlands. Once Robb was healed and he had retaken the North and his kingdoms, Bryce and his father returned to Seagard, only to find it to the point of almost ruin. It had taken House Mallister roughly ten years to rebuild their home but in that time, Lord Jason had passed away due to a fever, leaving Patrek as the lord and Bryce as the new heir of Seagard.

As Seagard repaired, Bryce has spent his time mostly at Riverrun, both as a squire to Lord Edmure and as his father’s representative at court while Patrek mourned his father and rebuilt their once great home. During his time at court, Bryce had seen Bethany Blackwood, the daughter of Tytos a powerful and strong-willed man of the Riverlands. With his influence and the reputation of House Blackwood, Bryce had thought it would be best to unite the houses and regain some fortunes of what they both lost during the war. Bryce also wishes to gain favour with his king and he knows of how close Lady Bethany has become with the princess of the North and wishes to use this to his own advantage, should she agree to marry him.

Biography

Sybell Westerling neé Spicer was not born into a noble or royal family. Her grandfather was a low-born trader, specializing in saffron and pepper while her grandmother was a woman he had brought with him from the east. With her family newly arriving in Westeros, they made a home for themselves in the Westerlands, providing spices to houses such as House Lannister. Hearing of the news that House Westerling’s finances were in dire need, Sybell’s father had arranged for her to marry Gawen Westerling. This was to ensure that his family would be noble and that House Westerling would be as stable as they could be, and be in House Spicer’s debt of course.

As expected, Sybell adapted well to being a lady of a noble house and during the time at gatherings at Casterly Rock, she had gained a valuable friendship with Joanna Lannister, wife of Lord Tywin Lannister. During her marriage, Ser Gawen and her had four children, Raynald, Jeyne, Eleyna and Rollam. With his eldest daughter being of age, Sybell had tried to arrange a marriage between Jeyne and one of Kevan Lannister’s son but this was rejected due to Sybell’s low standing. Once the war of five kings had broken out, House Westerling provided House Lannister with whatever they could, from men to gold, they were keen to prove their loyalty. During Robb Stark’s expedition in the Westerlands, Sybell was furious to find out that her eldest daughter had slept with and married the king in the North and from this moment, Sybell had been writing with Tywin Lannister, helping plan the downfall of Robb Stark. Unknown to her daughter, Sybell had been tricking her daughter into drinking moon tea to prevent her from giving Robb Stark any children. After news of the Red Wedding spread throughout Westeros, Sybell was devastated to hear that Jeyne had fallen at the hands of the Freys. As Robb Stark was healing, Sybell demanded that she have her daughter buried in the Westerlands, far away from the North and from Robb Stark’s reach and even fourteen years after the war, she has still yet to tell Robb where she had buried his late wife.

As Renly Baratheon took over from Tywin Lannister, Lord Gawen had sworn his loyalty to the new king for fear of the implications over his financial situation. With this, Sybell had grown distant from her husband and had even grew to hate him for this betrayal. Once King Renly had made the Rock his permanent home, Lady Sybell got back in contact with Tywin Lannister, passing any information she could about the stag king and his rose thorned queen. This is in hopes that when the lions return, they will not forget all that she has done for their house and hopes for better marriages for her few remaining children.

Biography

Niylla Anerel was born in the Golden Empire of Yi Ti, in Yin the great port city on the jade sea. With its connections to Asabhad, trade routes flourished with new ships daily. Upon her birth, Niylla’s mother had died during childbirth, leaving Niylla with her father.  When she was only six years old, her father had begun serving the masters of the fighting pits by making them extravagant clothes and shoes. For a time, Niylla and her father were on their way to becoming very wealthy with a reasonable amount of influence within their city and life could not have been better. For almost nine years, Niylla and her father were happy and content with their lives they were leading. With his pockets almost always full with gold, he had decided for Niylla to have an education that most noble women would have, which would give them the opportunity for them both to rise up in the world. During this time, Daenerys Targaryen had freed the slaves and outlawed the fighting pits and in a few short months of her rule, Niylla and her father lost a lot of business.

Many people in Yin had known of her father’s ties with the masters and his close friendship with them so when the masters went into hiding, Niylla and her father were targets of their hatred. One night, Niylla and her father were sat at home when their door was forced open and men stormed into their house. Niylla his as she watched the men beat her father to death with shoutings of praise to the Dragon Queen and breaker of chains. After her father’s funeral, Niylla gathered as much money as she could to travel to Meereen to get an audience with the queen and to get some justice for her father but she was turned away at the gate. Enraged by this, Nyilla was at a loss of what to do until rumours spread about a famed pit-fighter who had now begun teaching. Finding him was no easy task, in fact, it took almost a year for Nyilla to even get close to getting his name. She sought out Oyrys but could already see that he had a large number of people after his services. Thankfully, Nyilla still had a large portion of her father’s gold left so once she met him, Niylla gave him the entire bag, knowing it would be better to pay him up front. It worked and the gold had helped in persuading the man to take her on as a student of his and after years of training both privately and in the newly refurbished fighting pits, Niylla had become one of the strongest fighters.

After Oyrys bought them both passage on a travelling merchant ship, it took them a few weeks to even get close to any Westerosi land but the long travel only meant that more practice could be done Under Oyrys instruction, Niylla had to prepare both physically and mentally for her goal. This involved series of different meditation techniques that Oyrys had hoped would calm the rage inside her. When they docked in Westeros, under Oyrys instruction, they would not go searching for the queen right away, they must learn their land and people tha tinhabitied it and once that was done, Niylla knew that nothing could stop her from seeking and obtaining the vengence in which she had deserved.

Biography

Oyrys Maegatis was born in 279 AC in Essos. His family were not noble nor were they poor but they had enough to get by. Oyrys was raised around the fighting pits of Essos and since his father was a bladesmith. He spent his childhood watching and learning his family trade to sell their weapons to the fighting pits. It wasn’t honourable work but Oyrys understood that during tough times, you must do what you must to survive. Around the time of his sixteenth name day, his father had passed away due to an illness and Oyrys was left to carry on his father’s trade but since he was more practiced in fighting with a sword rather than making them, the business soon fell apart and the only way that Oyrys could earn any money was to take part in the fighting pits.

For five years, Oyrys had gained a reputation as a vicious and notorious fighter in the fighting pits. For the first year, Oyrys barely got by in the fighting pits as he struggled against the more competitive fighters but in time, he learned to disregard the honourable way of fighting and adapted to more brutal and effective techniques. Word had spread of the man’s skills and on when he was twenty years old, Oyrys had received a request from a Westerosi lord, requesting his skills for training. At first, Oyrys declined the offer but he could not deny the offer of money that Lord Tytos sent in his second letter. Upon the agreement of price, Oyrys had made his way to Westeros. When he arrived, he was greeted by Lord Tytos and then he met the lord’s only daughter. Tytos had explained that threats had come to his castle about plots of kidnapping his only daughter so he wanted her to be able to protect herself and so the training began. For two years, Oyrys had fought with the girl as for the first few weeks she had resisted his training and his methods.  In time, the girl learned the fine art of discipline with her combat skills and Oyrys had noticed she was better with physical combat than she was with handling swords. In the two years they spent training, Oyrys had noticed she grew into a fine learner, with still a lot further to go, he could see the potential but he had to return back to Essos.

Not long after he arrived back in Essos, Oyrys was approached by a number of people who sought his newly acquired teaching skills. He refused most of them, knowing they would only use their skills in the fighting pits. Two years later, Oyrys found Niylla Anerel at his door, asking for his teachings so she could avenge her family and seek the justice that the Dragon Queen took from her. This interested Oyrys as it was not something he had heard on a daily basis, and the amount of money she gave to him was more than he would ever make in a single year. For years they trained, making sure the Niylla perfected different combat skills including the physical aspects and different types of weapons. Once she was ready, Oyrys bought passage on a merchant ship to Westeros where he knew that Daenerys Targaryen had made herself a home and kingdom, all of which she did not deserve, according to Niylla. Oyrys on the other hand remains indifferent to the Dragon Queen and any politics that happen in Westeros and in the free cities.

Edric is one of the many bastards of Robert Baratheon but with his mother as Delena Florent , a noble woman and a maiden when Robert took her to bed, Robert had no choice but to acknowledge the boy as his son so sent him to Storm’s End to be fostered with Renly, one of Edric’s uncles, and under the guardianship of Cortnay Penrose. Edric knew from a young age about his parentage and that his conception bought great insult to his uncle Stannis as he was conceived on the night of Stannis and Selyse’s wedding. With jet black hair and deep blue eyes, there is no doubt that he is one of Robert’s children and people comment how much he looks like his father and his uncle Renly but he also has the large ears that are common with House Florent from his mother. On his name day, he would receive a present from his father but it was actually Varys that sent the gifts, not Robert.

When the War of the Five Kings took place, Edric was still with his guardian, Ser Cortnay Penrose while his uncles and other fought for the Iron Throne. Throughout this time he did not believe himself to be loyal to either uncle since he thought the true King would be one of Robert’s true born sons and he thought that to be the blonde children he had with Cersei Lannister. Once they were proved to be bastards and by the Queen’s brother and Westeros was divided into Seven Kingdoms, Edric wanted to remain in the Stormlands but not in Storm’s End since he knew clearly about how Stannis felt about him so went with Cortnay Penrose to the Parchments.

Now that Ser Penrose has been named the Hand to King Renly, Edric wants to move with his guardian since he still believes that he would not be safe on his own in a Kingdom where Stannis is the ruler, given the rumors of Melisandre’s blood magic and how she could use his blood to further her own plans. Knowing that he is a bastard, he knows that his aspirations are limited but aspires to climb the ranks within the Baratheon army, to show his solidarity with his father’s house and to make a name for himself.

Biography

House Penrose has always had significant influences with the royal houses of Westeros and the royal courts when the current Lord of the Parchments wed Princess Elaena Targaryen. Born as the only child and son to his father, Cortnay Penrose was raised to be the next Lord of the Parchments but was also knighted in his youth and then rose in reputation by becoming a seasoned battle commander. Like the other members of his house, Cortnay was raised in the Stormlands and grew up to be loyal to the ruling house, the Baratheons and had never wavered in that loyalty. Cortnay was in attendance at the wedding of Stannis Baratheon and his lady wife, Selyse which was also the night that Edric Storm was conceived by Robert Baratheon. After Edric was born, Cortnay played a part in raising the bastard son of Robert due to the child’s high birth, he raised him as a bastard but as an acknowledged one of the King. Cortnay became the castellan of Storm’s End when his friend and Lord, Renly Baratheon, left for King’s Landing to become Master of Laws.

During the War of the Five Kings, Cortnay holds Storm’s End and Edric Storm for Renly Baratheon while he fights for the Iron Throne. As soon as news reaches him that Renly claimed himself rightful King, Cortnay declared him his King and gave no loyalty to anyone else. When the raven arrived informing hm on the assassination attempt on Renly, many believed the King to be dead but Cortnay would not believe it until he saw the body of Renly before he gave the castle and his loyalty to Stannis, the next Baratheon. When people turned against Renly after the assassination attempt, Cortnay hated those that turned and, because of how stubborn he is, that hatred would remain for years. When the War was over, Cortnay was in attendance to watch each new ruler be crowned. Since his house seat, the Parchments, is in the Stormlands, he accepts Stannis as his King but does not like or trust him.

After the death of Mace Tyrell and his son Garlan, Cortnay was asked to be Hand of the King to Renly Baratheon by the King himself. Although his house seat still remains in the Stormlands, he accepted the offer of hand and must learn to be a hand to the king in the Rock while maintaining his own lands and duties as Lord of the Parchments.

Margaery Tyrell —  Margaery is someone that Cortnay respects. At first, because she is Renly’s wife but then because he knew her to be a great and kind Queen and loyal wife.

Edric Storm —  Cortnay acted as Edric’s second father because of how present and protective he was of the boy when he was born and left at Storm’s End.

Biography

Alara Waters was the child of a common woman who worked as a trader and an unknown noble lord from the Westernlands. During the war of five kings, Alara was only fourteen years old but she was already in the employment of Petyr Baelish but wasn’t put to real work until she was ready. Growing up in Kings Landing, many noble lords had commented on her beauty and some had even said that she was more beautiful than Cersei Lannister, even at a tender age of fourteen. Once she flowered and once she had mastered the art of love making Alara was put to work.

By her eighteenth name day, Alara had become an educated woman, knowing how to read and write which was an uncommon thing for Petyr Baelish’s workers. Alara quickly became one of the brothel’s most favoured workers and because of this, she became one of lord Baelish’s most promising investments. With his, Alara had been offered different positions at different brothels from all around Westeros but she had remained loyal to Petyr Baelish, after all he had invested in her and her loyalty was worth a lot more than any coin.

After the war of five kings, Alara’s skills had become known throughout of Westeros and it was incredibly hard for the noble lords and well-paid men to get a chance to spend some time with her and even noble ladies had asked Alara to teach her some of her talents. In recent years, Alara’s time mostly spent travelling with Petyr Baelish and with that, she often is in attendance in the Kingdom of the Vale, where many of the knights admire her during court. It is because of Petyr’s influence that she is able to attend the royal court, which Alara finds fascinating. Petyr trusts Alara immensely and has used her to gather information on the nobles of the vale, knowing that not all of them wanted Petyr in such a possition of power.

Biography

Tytos Blackwood is the Lord of Raventree Hall and head of House Blackwood, a noble house in the Riverlands. Lord Tytos has a close-cropped salt-and-pepper beard but many notice the magnificent raven-feathered cloak. As well as the cloak, Tytos weres burnished scarlet armour which features in silver inlay the dead weirwood tree of Raventree Hall, surrounded by onyx ravens taking flight. Lord Tytos is one of the most skilled fighters and warriors in the Riverlands and has sworn his loyalty to House Tully and House Stark. Before the war, Lord Tytos fought at the Battle of Riverrun, leading the remnants of the Riverlands force back within the walls of Riverrun and rescues lord Edmure Tully.

During the War Tytos Blackwood was one of the first people to decalre Robb Stark as their King from the Riverlands. Lord Tytos served in the Tully army and when his lands were over run by Westermen, Tytos sweept the Lannisters off his lands but not without a cost. The lands belonging to Tytos was left in ruin, with no sign of crops growing and most of their villages were almost destroyed. Tytos was not present at the Red Wedding, instead he was at Raventree Hall, taking care of his younger children and ensuring they had the skills that would see them through this war. His sons were present and one was killed during the feast at the Red Wedding. After the Red Wedding, the old enemies and fellow Riverland house, House Bracken re-swear fealty to the Iron Throne and attack the Blackwood Lands. After Riverrun falls and their king was in recovery, Raventree Hall became the last Stark loyalist Stronghold in the Riverlands and the south. Jaime Lannister had bartered with Lord Tytos to surrender and swear his loyalty to the Iron Throne, even threatening to take his only daughter and most favoured child as a ward. Once he agreed, Jaime sent his deceased son’s bones back to Raventree, so they could be buried under the Blackwood’s weirwood tree.

After the War, Lord Tytos returned to Raventree Hall where he worked mostly on restoring their lands and caring for his children. As the years passed, Raventree and the rest of his lands were still in a terrible state, but recently, signs of their first harvest in years and with that, a hope that their house can regrow.

Wallace Waynewood is the youngest son of the widowed Anya Waynwood and his brothers include Morton and Donnel. Wallace is neither tall or muscular like most of his family, he instead has a long face and latern-jaw with stringy brown hair and a pinched nose. Growing up, Wallace developed a stutter which he was often teased for by his brother and other noble lords and knights.

During the war of five kings, by orders of Lady Lysa Arryn, the Vale were to remain out of the drama. This, in turn, caused a lot of fury and anger among the Vale Lords and Knights, including young Ser Wallace. At the age of twenty-one, Wallace was ready to take arms and defend House Stark but the orders from his lady paramount denied him that honour. Naturally, Wallace was disheartened by the chance to be anything other than a stuttering knight and it is still something that weighs heavily on him. During Sansa Stark’s time as Alayne Stone, Wallace had found her to be striking vivid blue eyes and deep black hair, she was the envy of many ladies despite her bastard status. Ser Wallace is aware of Petyr Baelish black mailing his mother into agreeing to a marriage between his own bastard daughter, Alayne Stone, and his cousin and heir to the vale, Harrold Hardyng, and this is not something that Wallace intends on forgetting.

During the fourteen years after the war, Ser Wallace served his cousin with honour and trust as one of his knights, though he has ambitions to one day become one of the Vale’s famed knights. Once Harrold took the kingdom of the Vale away from Daenerys Targaryen, a woman he did not trust to have the Vale’s best interest in her heart. As a close knight to his king, Wallace has noticed an odd change in Harrold, ever since the dragons became his, King Harrold had been a little difference since that event.

Biography

Ryden Tully is the only child born of Lady Roslin Frey and Lord Edmure Tully. Since his father is the Lord Paramount of Riverrun, this makes Ryden the heir to be the next Lord of Riverrun. The young heir knows of the events that happened during his parent’s wedding and is ashamed about that part of his family that organised the whole thing. Not long after his move to the Riverland’s, Ryden was only in his first year of life when he had moved from the Crownlands to the Riverlands. Even growing up as the only heir of Edmure Tully, many had been cautious to accept the new little lord as one of their own due to the resemblance he shared with his mother and her side of the family

His life in Riverrun after the War of Five Kings was not an easy one at first. As he grew up, many nobles did not care to join in his name day celebrations as it was a reminder of the wedding that had butchered Catelyn Stark and many of their nobles. Ryden was raised as a Tully and heir of the Riverlands and in time, most of the Lords had started to accept him as one of their own, out of respect for his father and uncle. A lot of the River Lords, however, do not accept the young Tully because of his family on his mother’s side since the Frey name still carries the reputation of being traitors and murderers. Despite not carrying the Frey name, Ryden is often treated like he is a Frey even though he has never spoken to anyone from the Frey family other than his own mother. The remaining members of House Frey are strangers to him and Ryden has no wish to unite both sides of his family, for fear what his lords may do if he even attempts such a thing.

At the age of sixteen, Ryden should be engaged at least or married to a noble lady from the Riverlands or maybe even one of its neighbouring kingdoms but with his mother’s looks, many do not want their children and family linked to a house known to betray its kings and hold their lords captive. It is because of this that Ryden grows tired with trying to prove himself, even in the recent years and during the peace of the realm.

Biography

Jorgan Hersy is a member of House Hersy of Newkeep, a noble house in the Vale. As the youngest son of Lord Oliver and Lady Maria Hersy, Jorgan had lived without pressures of the first born son. He was granted more freedoms than his older brothers who were quickly arranged marriages to various different ladies of the Vale. For Jorgan, he wanted more than a pretty wife with children that would follow soon after their wedding. As he grew, Jorgan rose up within the ranks of the Knights of The Vale and grew up to be a close friend of Ser Harrold Hardyng.

With his charm and great social skills, Jorgan was granted a knighthood at only fifteen, the youngest in his family to be granted such honours. With his rise, Jorgan became an agreeable match to many ladies, and most had even given Ser Jorgan their maidenhoods but were left disappointed as he refused to marry any of them. Ser Jorgan did not get to see much of the war of five kings, given that Lady Lysa Arryn had refused to partake in the events, even when her family had called upon the Vale for its strength. Like most of the knights, Jorgan was furious that they were not given the chance to protect the realm from a tyrant that was King Joffery. With the news that Sansa Stark had married Tyrion Lannister and the injuries of Robb Stark, this united the Vale Knights and they had sworn their loyalty to Jon Arryn’s first heir, Ser Harrold Hardying. Much to Lysa’s fury, she did nothing when she married Petyr Baelish, which only made Jorgan weary of his new lord paramount and his sudden interest in Harry.

After the war, when Robert Arryn was tossed out and exiled from the Vale Lands and Lysa was found dead at the bottom of the Moon Door, the knights of the Vale were anticipating Ser Harrold as their new king and were outraged when a foreign queen was given the Vale. Most of the knights and lords had begged Harrold to lay claim to his rightful throne, as the Vale should always belong to a member of House Arryn but stopped when Harrold was made the ward and heir of Daenerys Targaryen. Once Harrold had took her dragons and claimed them for himself, the people of the Vale rejoiced to be free from the impending and what seemed to be the growing wrath of the Dragon Queen and Jorgan had hopes that he would be made a member of the Winged Knights, an honourable and famed position in the Vale and something that very few had received.

Biography

Sigorn is the son of Styr, the Magnar of Thenn and is said to look like his father, just younger and shorter with grey eyes. His receding hairline makes Sigorn look a lot older than he actually is. The title of Magnar means lord in the old tongue and it is a title that is held by the leader of the Thenn people, often passing down from father to son. Once Styr had died, Sigorn became the new Magnar of Thenn and takes pride in his title and in his people that follow him.

After Sigorn had kneeled before King Stannis after passing through the wall, he refuses to join the Night’s Watch through an alliance, leading to Jon Snow to arrange a marriage between Sigorn of Thenn and Alys Karstark. At first, the union is not something that Sigorn agrees too and refuses the offer almost immediately but after speaking with his own men, Sigorn realizes that this marriage could be the key that allows the wildlings to have a better footing south of the wall. With Melisandre officiating the ceremony at Castle Black, Sigorn marries Alys Karstark and if her brother dies without an heir, he will become the next Lord of Karhold. It is a significant title in the North. Sigorn is witness to the attempted murder of Jon Snow and does little to stop or help the Lord Commander, knowing all that Jon had done to the wildlings and knowing that in some way, Jon Snow had to pay for his crimes against the wildlings.

After the war and soon after Jon’s recovery, Sigorn took Alys back to Karhold as she had requested to return to her home and to her people. Sigorn had agreed but only if he was able to take fifty of his best warriors, leaving the remaining one-hundred and fifty of his men on the outskirts of Karhold, to protect his new lands and his new wife.  A year into his new life as a Northern Lord, Sigorn had hated it. He hated the rules and the customs and the way the other lords looked down at him, despite his own personal army. When Alys came to him and told her husband that she was with child, Sigorn held a great feast in her honour and had pledged himself to her, on his own terms and not at the command of Jon Snow. When his child was born, it devasted him that the child did not live. After that, Sigorn had spent his time divided as a husband and as a wildling, offering secret passage to those loyal to Stiegard and himself, something which is unknown to his wife.

Ygritte — Knowing her past with Jon Snow, Sigorn is not convinced that Ygritte has the interests of her clan as her top priority.
