see i dont think its a conscious effort of displaying them romantically but i do think they notice certain regions tend to positively favor certain survivors over others and it reflects in where they're sent. so its the other way around where ff indirectly influences which regions ship what just through a matter of how frequently they're distributed

i do think even before this becomes apparent they crack down on any affection btwn tng because they dont want any particular coupling to reflect outwardly. and it gets worse after people start taking to assuming their relationships
