i apologise if i missed an answer about this, it has been a while since i had a tumblr as i had to delete my old account.

have you seen pocoloco’s design in the anime??

namely, his lips??? i’m not sure if i’m overreacting, but they’re so, so much lighter than they are in the manga and it rubs me the wrong way so much.

like, here they are in the manga.

it’s just really, really disappointing to me as someone who absolutely adored pocoloco in the manga, his lips being so much lighter than they are in the manga seems like a purposeful choice by DP.

then again. maybe i’m overreacting?? i’m not sure. those i have talked to about it don’t seem to take it as seriously, but they’re also not Black. i realised it was probably a way smarter idea for me to talk to someone who’s also Black like i and pocoloco are.
