I want to tell despite the fact how much i hate the ending of tadc and feel like i was robbed i still can thanks this show for the good writing for the only one girl character whom i liked from the start. You are not gonna believe this...
Every other character didn't have their own arc. The authors just gave us some hints about the story but that's all. (i'm excluding Caine because it was too fast-pacing in the end).
And. Among all of these half preserved characters there is a diamond which is shining brigter then the others. My cutie Gangle.
She was shown from the start as a character with mental problems which was depicted by her wearing a happy and a sad mask. And this is so cool. My girl had her own episode and didn't have to share it with anybody, when she is not even the main character (or Jax). Zooble, Caine and Kinger shared the episode together. Ragatha shared an episode with Jax (30/70). Pomni existed to help Jax come ot of the closet and being his sidekick (good job though). And fck Jax who didnt deserve the half of the time. Nobody had gone an arc except Jax and my girly girl Gangle.
It was a slow-pacing story about Good beats Evil. No matter how many struggles she faced she didn't give up. She didn't became a person seeking revenge and even showed empathy to her bully. The element of kindness in all its glory.
She started as a person without ability to feel happiness and ended up realizing how she can reach it in the "weaky world" (to spend time with Zooble). After that, the problem (Jax) dissappeared (abstracted) by itself.
My girl beat the Evil of the circus (whose name is Jax) by finding a solution how to solve her own problem (start ignoring Jax and to hang out with Zooble).
So. Why Jax abstracted? He was all alone. Nobody couldnt stand him anymore (which is the result of his own actions) and he abstracted. He lost the last hope in the circus when the only string to stay a real person and not some cartoon character (and vice versa too, a good balance of his coping machanism) was cut by a girl who decided to stop communicating with him (her bully and "a happy pill", which is not good btw).
Why do i consider Gangle a last string? Because we see that it's the only thing which concerns Jax up to the last moment. He glances at Zooble and Gangle up to the end. And i dont think Pomni could save him even if she chased him in the last scene. Its just the way Jax preserve things. And his "bond" (i dont think so, okay) with Gangle was at the most importance for him. Maybe he thought she was her "friend" even though "he doesn't need friends". And the way how he up to the end genuinely thought that Gangle liked the way he treated her........ tells of his character a lot.
After Jax dissapeared the circus became a happy place. And suddenly it looks like Jax was the problem. And yeah. He was. All this time. Up to the end he was a jerk and was talking shit to everybody. I still hate him for saying such a sh!t to Ragatha. They wouldnt be a happy family in the end if Jax was still there. So.
Gangle (The true Good, in a way of being kind and polite no matter what) beat the Jax (a man who couldn't beat his own demons, aka the Evil).
