"Claudia, hm? That's a lovely name," the red-haired boy nodded, agreeing with himself proudly. "My name is Ichiro Tsukuda, but of course you can call me whatever you'd like." Once the girl had taken his hand, Ichiro lifted it and pressed his lips to the back of her hand softly before smiling. "It's nice to meet you. I hope you are enjoying the city so far?"

The mortal standing at the base of the tree suddenly pointed at him, spouting yet another cheesy line. He was, in short, strange. Satoru leaned forward, his curled index finger resting on his chin. If this man wanted to play, so be it. Simply watching everyone else from the confines of the tree was getting a bit boring and he felt a challenge hidden in the man’s words.

"Directions, huh?" A mischievous grin spread across his face as he lowered his hand to rest on the branch he sat on. He tilted his head, watching the boy through narrowed optics. “And why would you need them if you’re already there?”

Standing proudly, Ichiro expected a usual reaction from the male. Either he would get flustered or be flattered, and that was all he was prepared for. So when there was a comeback to the pick-up line, he completely froze in his place. His mind began panicking as he tried to think of what he was supposed to do in this kind of situation, but on the outside he remained cool. Well, he was trying to appear that way. The red-haired boy cleared his throat and matched the other's pose calmly.

"W-Well if that's the case, perhaps I should follow you home tonight. My parents always encouraged me to follow my dreams."

There was something in the air that bothered him, a presence that disturbed him. Somewhere in Caelum, as the rumors went, was someone flaunting their ‘smooth’ pick up line abilities. Really, Satoru cared little for pick-up lines but the very arrogant nature of the rumors bothered him. Were all humans so self-centered and did they really use such corny lines?

He paused, blinking as he watched the said person appear below him. Swinging his legs down from the tree, his gaze averted that of the other. “…Uh…hi.” Awkward.

This city was great. Maybe Ichiro liked it so much because he felt his time here was going fairly well; all of the new people he had met were good people, his pick-up lines were going fantastic-- er, well, he considered them to be going pretty well. As far as he knew none of them had actually worked, but he was happy about everything nonetheless. Soon he spotted a boy he'd never seen before, and he slowly ran his hand through his red hair before pointing at him.

"Hey, you, I could really use some directions," he started, "...to your heart."

Spotting the new girls who had just arrived, Ichiro quickly, and maybe nervously, whispered a few lines of encouragement to himself and exhaled deeply. This was the moment he had been waiting for. Breathing in and putting a smirk on his face, he slid over to one of the girls and held his hand out to be taken. "Excuse me, but I don't believe we've met. I wouldn't forget a pretty face such as your own."

Zander decided that, since he’d been mostly unpacked and incredibly antsy, he’d go explore the city a bit. Along the way, he’d been sidetracked countless times by various things, mostly food carts and stray cats. A few people said hi to him though, and that made him happy. It seemed to be a nice city, and he thought about how he’d probably make a lot of friends here.

All of a sudden, Zander was pulled from his thoughts back into the real world by the sound of a throat being cleared and turned to see a boy with red hair, not much shorter than him. He met his brown-eyed gaze with a few confused, yet curious blinks. Excuse me, but I believe you must be a parking ticket. Because you have fine written all over you. Wait… wait, what?

Feeling flustered more than anything, Zander’s eyes went wide as he felt a warmth rush to his face. Was that called flirting? He’d heard about it, but never saw it in real life before. The way he’d said it sounded like flirting, but… what was a parking ticket? That sounded bad… "U-Um…" He looked down at himself, then back up to the boy. "I don’t see it… where is it? Is it on my face?" His hands quickly moved up to cover his red cheeks, Had he written on himself in his sleep?

Ichiro had already started to mentally pat himself on the back for yet again nailing a well-thought-through pick-up line when he noticed the boy becoming flustered. It was amusing, to say the least. But a part of him felt somewhat bad; the boy seemed a little too caught of guard by the flirting. Okay, maybe he should have been more subtle. This was still entertaining to say the least.

"What's with you...?" He stared, watching the stranger cover his own face in what appeared to be embarrassment. "I, uh, I didn't mean it literally. You can calm down a bit, alright?" Ichiro snickered slightly, now intrigued in this boy even more. He silently wondered how many times this guy had actually been in a situation like this, and automatically assumed that it wasn't a large number. Ichiro calmly placed a hand on the stranger's shoulder and said, "It was just a pick-up line, you know? I was complimenting you."

"Yay~ A but if life were a game show then wouldn’t it be much more exciting?" Yumiko nodded, tapping her index finger on her chin before speaking again. "For example, what’s behind door number 1? Ah! It’s a classroom! Doesn’t that make everything sound like a prize?" Clapping her hands together, she tried to impart this wisdom to her new companion.

Hearing of his predicament, her smile faded and a troubled frown took its place. “Y-You’re lost, Ichiro-kun?” Now, hearing that it was her fault, Yumiko immediately covered her eyes. “Y-Yumiko is sorry! Yumiko won’t look!”

"I guess you're right," Ichiro shrugged, admitting that the idea would make things interesting, even if it was ridiculous. "You're a pretty happy person aren't you, Yumiko-chan? It sounds like you don't need life to be a game show; you're already having fun as it is."

"H-Huh? What-- no, I didn't mean I was literally lost," he chuckled slightly. Did no one in this city know what pick-up lines were? Apparently not, but that wasn't a real problem. Maybe things could go a lot smoother with people who had no idea what he was saying. Reaching over and carefully grabbing the girl's palm, Ichiro smiled and stated, "No no, I meant... your eyes are so beautiful it's almost unbelievable."

Strange Introductions // [kawaiipsych0]

Sometimes, strange ideas can result from having nothing to do during your free time. But really this idea wasn't strange at all, considering Ichiro Tsukuda was the one who thought of it. Basically, this was it: there aren't many people in the city at the moment, correct? So, what if he went out and made the best first impression possible on everyone he saw?

This is what he planned to do; he was going to walk around, find a new face, and use the best pick-up lines he knew. What better way is there to introduce yourself than with pick-up lines? Trick question. There is no better way than to introduce yourself with pick-up lines. With that thought, Ichiro spent the next fifteen minutes wandering around Caelum, searching for someone new and-- oh, who was this? A tall boy with black hair, minding his own business? Hm. This could either go really well or terribly wrong. Though, not exactly caring, Ichiro approached the boy and cleared his throat loud enough to grab his attention.

"Excuse me, but I believe you must be a parking ticket. Because you have fine written all over you."

"Yes!" Yumiko grinned, head tilting as shoulders rose agreeably.

"Ah…" Confronted with a question, Yumiko kissed her knuckle as she pondered the correct answer. "Hmm…" An elongated hum left her lips in reply. Fist placed enthusiastically on her palm, she beamed at her new acquaintance. "I choose both!"

"You know we're not on a game show or anything, right?" Ichiro stated slowly, questioning the girl's antics. This girl was a little... out of the ordinary. But, strangely, it wasn't in a bad way. "I'll take that as a great compliment, though."

"You're like a kitten 'cause... well, you're just pretty cute. And you have big eyes; has anyone ever told you how nice your eyes are?" He said, shifting in his stance as he prepared to whip out his favorite pick-up line. "Hm, do you have a map? Because I think I might be getting lost in your eyes."
