This was a concept for an AU called "The Pale Prophet," where PK, now the self-styled Prophet of the Wyrm, after fleeing Hallownest (now under the yoke of The Radiance), undertook the task of creating a gigantic cult that believed in the Wyrm (himself) in order to gain enough power to ascend once again as an Elder Being and overthrow the Radiance once and for all.
Many bugs initially regarded him with wariness and distrust; with his fading light and gaunt figure, he did not inspire confidence at first glance.
But as he began aiding communities plagued by structural problems—offering his knowledge in exchange for supplies—and as he was permitted to preach about the Wyrms in the villages he visited, gradually began to gain followers.
But of course, for a Pale Being, followers are not enough.
When the Pale King fled, he took with him many things he would use to restore his kingdom: seemingly endless Void Barrels, remnants of the White Lady's roots, and the monarch's soul amulet—objects he would use to create "organic" vessels whose purpose was no longer to contain disease, but to serve and protect him faithfully and unconditionally.
This, of course, is more of a rudimentary attempt to create life in the absence of Pale Ore, a laboratory or workshop equipped with specialized void manipulation equipment, and the right tools.
But even reduced to its most basic form, but not bordering on the common bug, the Pale King remains a Higher Being, so even if it means sacrificing his very life (quite literally) to bring a loyal being into existence, he will not hesitate.
These vessels were not perfect. Their lifespan varies from individual to individual. Because they are created in such a rudimentary way, the void in their composition begins to corrode the materials in the same way that an infection rots wood.
And many of them didn't last long.
Although Pk can give the antlers—or the overall appearance of his vessels—a base form, because they are organic (specifically plant-based), the masks and horns sometimes grow in ways that are radically different from their original carvings.
Often with results that are uncomfortably familiar.

Many of the vessels genuinely had a good relationship with PK.
But even with a genuine bond potentially forming, PK still has a goal in mind—and he won't toss it aside for the sake of the sentimentalities of mortal nor fake bugs. Disobedience will not be tolerated (again)
Something a little less shocking to wrap things up—and that's it!
I never made much progress with this and never published it, but I found a lot of this content from 2022 while backing up my files recently and I think I'd like more people to see it.

HIIIIIIIIII uhhhh this is the same anon who loves your gijinka lacenet!!!! Still uhh kinda shy BUT I still wanted to give some of my thoughts on them!!!
Lace: An incredible take on how Lace would be, since in game she is not bug and is instead woven silk, to have her have a doll/puppet body is a very good way to do it, the joints are well thought out, with the connections all looking great!!! Her outfit is also very nice, very nice with the classical and french design of a classy dress, combined with the bow for the childishness, overal all very nice!!! A small critique is that I would not tell that silk is a part of her character nor what she is powered by quote unquote, this is by no means necessary though as it still works very well. One other one is more of an observation but why is her neck not jointed and looks more fluid than the rest of her body? Very well made design overall!!!
Hornet: One of the best I have seen, with her body showin her experience and covered in scars, the long pointer ears and mandibles help also sell her buggness and on that point can I say the mandibles are incredible and the way they connect also works very nice, not in the way but also not unneeded and you can see the flexibleness in them that they could have, her outfit is also very well, classic cloak dropping all the way down, I can't speculate well on what would be under the cloak so I will not. Her mask is also very nice however I will say I can't inherently see how it fits on her face and I can tell it's like a strap one, but again I don't know how well it would fit around her eyes and nose, could possibly be purely aesthetical, maybe it fitted her when she was younger, again though it is a very good design!!!

Did my reseach, did see what Lace struggles were and I thought how to keep the doll aesthetic, the I asked my self, how do I make the doll features make sense for a character like Lace?
You tell me.
And Hornet's outfit does makes me think, since she is all for strategy and efficiency. So I will add it more thought when I am able too kasjkdhas. Though I did try to think about her mask, so uhh I came with a solution that is not just a single strand of leather or silk making the thing stay in her face. Will come back to it

Your mad king AU is a wonderful and twisted concept. I’m a little surprised I hadn’t seen it till now. What’s your opinion on others using the idea for their own stories?
It's always fun to see a bit of PK on crack, even if it's while being high on Void lmao.
People have approached me in the past asking about writing with that concept. The Ruined King and His Ruined Kingdom by @kc-r001 is still on my bookmarks.
