Epcot was pretty slow today because of the hurricane preparations. It was a little eerie seeing all the street lamps wrapped in seran wrap and the outdoor furniture being put away. But we still enjoyed our time exploring World Showcase and meeting characters. I enjoyed seeing belle in her winter cloak - it was so pretty, she was working it with those wind gusts.
<p>Day 4: Epcot! Having done my DCP at Epcot, I was hit with a wave of nostalgia as soon as I entered. From the music to the same benches, it felt like deja vu. We started out in Future World and took our time doing things I had never ever done before like Living with the Land and the Circle of Life (both I loved!). When we got hungry, we ventured to the World Showcase. See my next post for those continuing adventures! 😊
The rest of our day at Animal Kingdom was spent riding rides with little wait and hiding from the rain on occasion. Despite having visited Animal Kingdom on several occasions in the past, this was the first time I met Flik and ate a Mickey pretzel!
Day 3! Animal Kingdom - first stop Pandora! Not really knowing what to expect, but being prepared by watching Avatar, me and Dave ventured first into Pandora. While small but very detailed, the hovering islands and exotic wildlife are really cool. Even if you haven't seen the film, it can still be appreciated. Riding Flight of Passage however, will make you appreciate Pandora even more. That ride is out of this world! The virtual reality is unreal and unlike anything out there.
<p>Day 2: Hollywood Studios: it was a super hot day at studios but that didn’t stop us from hanging with some old friends and taking in the sights. I loved seeing Minnie and Mickey in their new settings with new costumes - they make for really neat pictures!
We did the Frozen Singalong and I was really surprised how much I liked it! The hosts did a great job at entertaining and actually made me laugh out loud a few times. Seeing the characters on stage was really neat because they were perfectly casted and looked amazing. After hearing the music from Frozen it made me in the mood to watch it, but meeting Olaf had to suffice for now. Olaf gave the warmest and longest hug, it was so sweet! He even got my husband, who rarely meets characters to hold hands with him. 😂

Because when you go the parks, you bring all your favorite toys. 😚
For lunch, we ate at Tony's and it was sooo cute! The theming and music made me want to watch Lady and the Tramp so bad. They did have it playing out in the lobby as we waited to be called in. I ate the margherita pizza with a cannoli for desert. And we couldn't have times lunch better, as we sat in the glass room, we got to watch the parade from our table!
Hey y'all! I am back at Disney for the week! Me and my husband spent our first day at Magic Kingdom. It’s been about 2 years since we’ve last visited the parks so I’m glad to see some changes! I really love all the topiaries and fountains in the hub grass 😚. Upon entering, we couldn’t pass up the famous chicken and waffle sandwiches of the Sleepy Hollow Inn. I’ve been dreaming about those for months! 😍
Shoes for Disney Vacation?
So I'm heading to Disney World this September for a weeklong vacation with my husband! And being the over excited planner I am, I'm already daydreaming about my outfits. Disney explorers, what are some super comfortable and cute shoes I can wear all day at the parks with a dress? Waterproof is also a plus! Any suggestions?
Animator’s Palate was pretty much the best dining experience I had in my life. From the moment you get in line for your assigned dinner, the excitement builds with seeing some familiar character sketches in the artistic hallway. Then while your eating, the canvases on the wall start to come to life and your dinner ends with an amazing show. LOVED. IT.
The entire ship is gorgeous! All the tiny Disney elements from the hands on the elevator to the hidden mickeys throughout the decor, was so fun to see.
Another section of the kids’ area on the Disney Magic was Andy’s Room! It was neat because the top of the slide was made to look like Andy’s bed and then you slid down Slinky Dog. Also, Hamm had coins that you could put in the slot in his back, making you feel like the size of an army man!
Me and the hubby got to do some exploring on our first day aboard the Disney Magic, which allowed us into the kids only area which is totally cool. *jealous stares*
We stayed in a Veranda suite on board the Disney Magic and it was really cool! Disney is so good with their theming. I loved the lampshades on each side of the bed - they marked all the Disney parks on the maps with a castle silhouette. And naturally seeing the old framed picture of Walt and his wife made me wanna cry.
