Every time SHINee gets a car, something bad happens to it. Four supposedly separate plotlines that collapse into a fifth, shared spacetime. It's not nearly as unavoidable as some earlier releases, but if you squint, you can see the open space where a fifth soul resides.

The way this feels so very pirate-y and then the use of color is just *chef's kiss*
A lot of the flashing is wildly inaccessible to anyone with visual triggers, so be careful. That said, it's a gorgeous video, even with as simple as it is.

Flashing back to 2015 with the title track from Taengoo's first solo album. Gorgeous song & MV are gorgeous but ooph, the homesickness they inspire…
Fun bit of Jagu lore: I originally got into Kpop via KHipHop, so I knew Verbal Jint before I knew Girls Generation. I'm not sure I would've given Taeyeon's solo work a try (I was very solidly Hyoyeon-biased back then) if not for this collab.

Taemin (SHINee) - Under My Skin cw: lens flares, background flashing
Throwback Thursday to 2018. There's something deeply haunting about the near-breathless way Taemin starts this song, so here, have a hanky. Every time I watch this, I get this surge of pride for how well Baby Cheese grew up.
SMCU wasn't a public thing yet at the time this was produced, but if I tilt my head a little, I can pretty easily wiggle this into it. The shapes, the way Taemin moves, the use of red and black… Was it done with SMCU in mind? Who knows….
