I’m always surprised by Hoya’s lack of popularity, even within the fandom (admittedly he isn’t my bias either). He’s probably one of the most well rounded idols- great dancer, rapper, singer and actor. His personality tends to be dorky/awkward, which people generally seem to like. That being said, he’s still often overlooked. I had hoped that with Hit the Stage he would have gotten more recognition for his dancing, which he did. However that recognition didn’t last long…

It really bothers me that B.A.P never gets any credit for pioneering and popularizing the trend of aggressive hip-hop boy groups. Instead people are STILL complaining about how they experiment with their sound instead of staying with their debut concept, while bigger groups like BTS, Shinee, and Big Bang get praised for it. I hate that people can’t let them be the artists they want to be, instead of the artists they want them to be.

It was so cute to see Chanyeol’s mother at Kyungsoo’s movie screening. Chanyeol’s family is always supporting Kyungsoo. Suho once lived in Kai’s house. Baekhyun became very close to Yixing and Xiumin after Luhan left. Sehun and Kai have a really good friendship. And people still say EXO is only about business.

Plagiarism is NOT okay. No matter who you are

Plagiarism has been a problem for, I don’t know how many centuries.

Today I’m gonna address a problem in plagiarism.

Plagiarism is the copying and taking of someone’s work and using them, which is why we have to paraphrase and cite the source whenever we write a research paper, an essay, or a summary.

But it seems like plagiarism is okay for some people.

There were so many cases where people plagiarized Kpop artists or Kpop artist plagiarizing other artists. In some cases, it is just a coincidence that the music is similar. In some other cases, the plagiarist may have gotten inspiration from the original and did not recreate the track well. But in cases where one uses the EXACT track for their BG, that is for sure plagiarism.

Some examples are like old plagiarism cases where Disney copied Infinite’s debut song and recently where a Russian singer copied Taeyang’s Eyes, Nose, Lips.

The BG is exactly the same!

Now I’m gonna talk about a case where someone copied VIXX’s Dynamite instrumental because I am a Starlight.

This Turkish guy used the Dynamite Instrumental and said “This is not plagiarism, it is creativity.” on Twitter. Anyone with a brain can tell that the BG is exactly the SAME. SAME!

I wish Jelpi will become aware of this situation and hope plagiarism will not happen again.

Since I keep seeing BABYz upset about the Golden Maknae title...

Zelo was known as the Golden Maknae before any other idol. There were plenty of senior groups with maknaes who were universally known and loved, but when Zelo debuted it was actually news. He was so multi-talented and young but could rap seniors who had been idols for years to shame, he shocked everyone with his skills because it was so amazing that someone so young could have so much talent. Even though other idols have taken on the Golden Maknae name, Zelo is an artist, he’s transcended the title of idol. How many maknaes around Zelo’s age (or older) do you know that compose, write lyrics, choreograph dances, and are known for more than just their cuteness but for their actual raw talent?? Not to mention he’s literally the sweetest and most humble person (he even bows at a 90 degree angle to juniors first when they should be the ones bowing to him) who never gets in trouble and has grown to be a real man who diligently follows his members like brothers to the point that they sued their company to get the rights they deserve???

I for one am so immensely proud of Zelo because we’ve literally seen him grow from a shy and cute LTE rapper to a grown man finding his own style and voice. He’s probably experienced more of life than many of us and he’s probably younger than a lot of us. He’s gone from rapping the lyrics that were given to him to making his own from his real-life heartaches and experiences. Sometimes I forget he’s the maknae unless BAP bring it up because of how much he’s grown in my eyes, and I know that he will grow even more into an artist that will continually be recognized for his musical talent.

So miss me with this “Golden Maknae” nonsense. I mean, if you’re going to give him a title, at least call him Rhodium Maknae (granted, it doesn’t have as nice a ring as “Golden Maknae” but still, let’s be positive about Zelo’s transition from an idol to a true artist). Rhodium is known as the most precious of metals, even more than gold and platinum, and isn’t Zelo the most precious maknae we know?

But in the end, who cares about a title. Zelo’s first solo song is even called “No Title”: even he knows he can’t be defined.
