To the people I’m plotting with -- I might be slow on doing stuff until, ironically, I start going to school again (this Monday, hopefully), due to me having really bad seasonal depression that mainly kicks in during longer breaks from school. It would’ve started going back to normal on Thursday or Friday, but I ended up taking those days off for health reasons. But I’ll start doing better soon! Maybe!

School usually doesn’t bother me being able to do stuff outside of the hours I’m at school due to me usually either finishing stuff in class or being completely incapable of doing non-online work at home (unfortunately), so I’ll be open pretty much all day minus 6:00 to 2:45ish.

This is, by all accounts, an incredibly fucked situation.

Okay, let’s start at the beginning. Iris had found herself in Iceland and she may have done a biiit too much digging in some archives. She found strange documents, depicting plans to have city run completely underwater, along with coordinates of where she assumes is where the city would be. Curiosity overwhelmed Iris, she just had to see this city of Rapture!

Now, Iris was completely aware that this was highly impossible for such a place to exist. But the plans she saw showed that the engineers thought of everything that might pose a problem. Even if the city didn’t exist, she wanted to see if they had any progress in creating it.

After some convincing and a hefty bribe to a man with a sailboat, Iris was dropped off at the lighthouse where the coordinates took her. A little exploring and pressing a few buttons she shouldn’t’ have later. Iris finally found herself in the fabled Rapture.

Seeing the city in such a state of disarray was concerning. Seeing the malformed citizens running amok was even more concerning! It was pretty obvious that something had gone horribly wrong with the city, and that she had to get out ASAP.

Now armed with a heavy pipe she found, Iris cautiously walks through the city. Hoping to find someone or something to help her escape.

Jackson Ryan, more recently better known as “The Kraken”, lurks in the halls of Rapture, an air of twisted confidence around him. He has nothing to fear - at this point, the only people that don’t fear him are those who haven’t heard of him. People that don’t know of and fear the Kraken are increasingly rare, these days.

He can hear the distant sound of footsteps - too even and meticulous to be from a splicer. Someone new? There’s new ways to get into Rapture every day, with how much it’s decaying (yet managing to stay intact all the same). However, it could also be someone who’s just managed to survive without touching enough ADAM and EVE to start losing their mind. Perhaps.

Either way, he could take advantage of this. He’s taken some notes from Fontaine, been influenced by having to work for him in his time when he controlled the city. He just needs to be convincing - which may be a tad difficult, given how even he’s not the most mentally stable person on the block.

He turns a corner, sticking to the darker side of the hall, catching a glimpse of red hair and a large pipe. The lady looks much too frail to properly handle something like that. Jackie faintly chuckles, taking off his makeshift cloak and instead tying it around his waist, giving the impression of it maybe instead just being some cloth he’s using to hold things or like a belt. He tucks his wrench in there, mainly to conceal it.

“You know,” he whisper-shouts, stepping out of the dark and trying to sound at least a bit friendly, “a bird like you should just learn how to use a gun rather than busting your wrist swinging a pipe.”

Hi!! I’m here!! Been distracted by stuff for the past few days. Mostly been finally getting around to playing stuff I got around Christmas (Sonic Forces, which is just BARELY better than the train wreck I expected, Prey, which is fun but bothers my paranoia, aaand Persona 5, which is Fantastic) and also resting a lot cause Hell Week got me worse than usual this month (had to stay home the only days of school we had this week rip)

but i’m gonna try to get around to doing stuff today!
