His dismissal is surprising and she merely blinks for a few seconds, processing it. Instead of pressing it further, she’s not about to jeopardize the truce they have going on, she crosses her arms in an attempt to shield herself from the cold. By the time he’s done, she’s fighting the urge to shiver. A fight she’s losing.

An´Thuraya is almost grateful to start moving again, but only gives a sharp nod in acknowledgement before she turns and leads him through the forest. She’s leading half by memory, half by the tracks still there. Her own tracks are startlingly visible and she frowns. She’ll have to work on that later. If later comes, that is.

She glances towards the sky were the moon is still visible. It’s sunk, yes, but not enough. There’s still some time before she’s supposed to meet her client. Coming back too soon would merely give rise to suspicion, so she stops at the border of the forest, before turning towards the other.

“It’s not time yet,” she says, eyeing the sky. “The meeting’s a little after sunrise,” she continues, “returning this early may scare him off.” She looks back at the Argonian. “Or perhaps you wish to find yourself a hiding spot?” The comment is neutral, off-handed, delivered with a straight face, shielding her true feelings.

The whole idea of killing someone without them ever seeing your face never sat well with her. It’s only in the recent years she’s started to recognize the skill and preparation going into it, but it stills gives her a bad taste. No, rather face one’s enemy outright; see the white in their eyes.

“No. We’re going to wait here,” the Argonian says, and leans against a tree. The Redguard woman sighs, maybe in relief. The sun starts to climb over the horizon as morning arrives, and Krashath narrows his eyes at the light, pulling his hood over his face. He’s been standing under the trees a little over an hour, cleaning his knife with a stained rag, not speaking to the Redguard once. Her head snaps up, and she peers into the undergrowth. They’re not alone anymore.
