So I’m off to uh, borrow this artefact from a mage West of Morthal, and it’s possible that I won’t return there alive. This is the most daring mission I’ve ever been to, and I thought this is probably the time to write this kind of letter. Just in case I didn’t return, I want you to get my Clavicus. Yeah, the life-size statue thing. It has some hidden functions I’m sure you’ll find when you check under the toga. Yeah, there was a reason why he’s wearing actual clothes. And why I keep him in my bedroom. So anyway…

You’ll find the key to my locker four steps South from the spot we tried the candlewax thing in. I hope you remember because I’m literally leaving you my heritage here. I mean, of course I’m not going to die on this mission or anything but you really should appreciate the thought. Just saying.

5. Does your muse have any irrational fears that hold them back in life? Do they come from experience (trauma) or is it, for instance, part of a belief system they have?

{He definitely used to, though I’m not so sure I’d call the fear itself irrational. Back in the day, during Breath of Life -- after Serana had left him -- he was absolutely terrified of falling in love again, because he had spent so much time trying to heal from a broken heart, and a part of him couldn’t let her go, thinking one day he may be able to find her again. It was quite possibly the most painful and frustrating time of his life. His loss of Serana affected him very deeply. Of course, Farkas managed to work his way into his thoughts and get him to heal, but it took a long time for Rowan to work up the courage to accept that he’d fallen in love with him.}

7. Have you ever done anything that you feel to be very morally wrong?

“Not very. I’m not the picture of sweetness and light, but I’ve never-- not killed anyone who wasn’t trying to kill me, not loaned money, nothing too bad. Everyone does things they regret, I think, but I’m doing well enough, I think. Morally, anyway.”

9. If you committed a crime, would you accept punishment willingly?

“No. I want to say yes, it would be the right thing to do, but no, I am selfish, even if I committed a crime I would not face my punishment without first making them prove my guilt, and I’d fight them every step of the way.”

16. What would you consider a fate worse than death?

“Loneliness. Emptiness. Abandonment. Everyone else dying. Going through life, and life, and life, and never finding what I need.”

"If you could go anywhere, where would you go?"

Rowan cast an introspective glance toward the ground, memories pooling in the surface of this thoughts; memories of his clan, and his family, and the faraway Highlands he once knew as a mortal man.

“Home,” he said, voice gentle but full of certainty. “Some day, when I am able, I will journey back to the land where I was born, and walk among my people once more.”

What is their favorite time of year?

The vampire hummed thoughtfully. “Spring-time, I would say. When everything blooms, and the land comes to life, and the animals thrive as they set out to raise their families. It brings a smile to my face to see brand new litters of wolf cubs scampering about during that time of year, and the bright young faces of newborn fawns, trailing faithfully behind their wary mothers. Spring is wonderful.”

  “I suppose. I spend a lot of time outside the city. The cold is fucking terrible though.”

☯ = Any odd sleeping habits?

(( None that I can think of while she sleeps. She does sleep an awful lot better in small, enclosed rooms, though. Hates them while she’s awake, but prefers sleeping in them. Considering the Thieves’ Guild is a big ole’ place full of activity, Lolly really doesn’t sleep well! ))

Eostre: What do you like to do in the spring?

“This may sound a bit insane to other vampires, but I rather enjoy the pleasant warmth and sunlight the spring-time brings, albeit in moderation. I didn’t always, of course, but after I met the wolves, I had to spend three years adjusting myself to walk about outside during the day, and I slowly became partial to it as a result. That being said, I enjoy doing many things in the spring. Hunting, fishing, riding Shadowmere through Falkreath, hiking with Farkas, camping out in the woods… a number of activities I already do on a regular basis, mind, I simply cannot stay outside as long when it is hottest, otherwise my blood will begin to boil and I will burn badly. The sun and I will never be friends, but at least we can tolerate one another for a stretch of time.”

Tyr: What makes you angry?

“People who do not place nearly enough value in their children, or treat them very poorly, are people I would love nothing more than to teach a stern, painful lesson. There is nothing quite so angering to me, beside the bloody Thalmor and the rogue covens who plague this land, than parents who have absolutely no business being parents. Your child, your own flesh and blood, a precious life you guided into this world, deserves to be loved and cared for. There is a fire that burns in me whenever I hear about, or Gods forbid – witness – a young lass or laddie experiencing abuse or mistreatment of any sort. I cannot stand it.”
