My name’s Kraz and I’m a new Izzet apprentice!

So, I’ve been pretty vocal about saying the guild system SUCKS. But you know what’s even worse?

This living guildpact bullshit. First we get some twink who keeps fucking directly off and not doing his job. What the fuck was he doing? Especially when we had like. 3 guild leaders murdered before the big war with the dragon and zombies invading.

Then we get Niv-mizzet. And I’m sorry to any Izzet followers, but he was the worst choice for a living guildpact. He is the FOUNDER of the Izzet, his own personal cult of personality. He’s antisocial, preferring to hide away and do research than to actually intervene when GUILD LEADERS ARE DYING AGAIN, and sure he SAYS he isn’t going to be biased. But he’s spent a few thousand years hanging out with one guild, do we actually fuckin believe that??

Rakdos would have been a better pick. At least he isn’t interested in scheming.

I’m not saying he’s not, I’m saying for an important job like this, you can’t pick an ancient dragon who has been in charge of a guild for literal centuries and expect him to be impartial. You think if the Izzet get into literally any argument with another guild the guildpact isn’t gonna immediately take their side?

Don’t get me wrong, he’s better than Beleren, but I don’t love having any parun of the guilds as Guildpact. I understand during the invasion, it was an emergency and we needed Niv back to help keep Ravnica, well. Ravnica, but I remain suspicious of Niv Mizzet for that reason. I guess the next time the Izzet are involved in an inter guild conflict we can see if I’m wrong

The Rakdos girl, right? I know a great Orzhov restaurant up near Zonot 5. The entrees cost more than your salary, but just say you're putting on 'Tannari's Tab'. Trust me. I'd recommend wearing something that you both find comfortable & stylish enough. On the date, just be yourself. Could go wrong, but that just means you aren't compatible.

Got really wasted at a Festival of the Guildpact party I went to, and I only just now regained consciousness I think??

The good news is I still have my personal belongings and lovely charm. Confusing news is that in my drunken stupor I seem to have completely rearranged my apartment’s furniture. I don’t hate the new layout. It’s more spacious this way.

I have to wonder, though… what combination of animal traits and/or alcoholic beverages would put me into such a state of advanced productivity?

You may call me Kasvi. I hail from Littjara, the misty realm between realms, and I seek only to explore this fascinating Multiverse.

Did you ever realize how striking a parallel can be drawn between the Multiverse as a whole and my home plane of Kaldheim? Now, even your Omenpaths bear the name that we of Kaldheim first gave them. It's fascinating, and I'm assembling a body of research on it. Planar cosmology and ecological development are my particular interests, as is the influence of mana on biology. I'm currently working on a paper about how World Trees drive planar renewal.

Now, the Multiverse has opened. Great bridges unfurl across the Eternities. What a wonder. (How accurate to my predictions too, if I may add.) I look forward to sharing my research with all of you!

I think some Simic researchers here know a lot about biology, and I bet they'd let you take a peek at some of their research on mana influences, it could be useful for your own studies! Just don't be surprised if you leave with more limbs than you walked in with, I've heard the Simic are pretty persuasive about stuff like that X>

And maybe if I could find an Omenpath for it I could visit Kaldheim sometime, it sounds so cool !! Is the World Tree really that big? The scale fries my mind when I try to think about it, it sounds absolutely wild! Some of the Selesnya's trees in what little forest there is here are hundreds of feet tall, and I thought those were wild, so I can't even imagine!

So. A slight follow-up to my last post, does anyone know where or what Shiv is? I planeswalked to the origins of the artifacts (or, one of them) and ended up sitting in a mountainous desert area for a bit, until I could find someone who could tell me where I was

That ended up being a bunch of goblins that tried to take me prisoner, and were very upset when I planeswalked away instead.

Okay, I do feel like you all deserve some context, because while I don't think I deserved to be bitten, Idzek obviously disagrees (Because she fucking bit me.) So I was walking home with my Lab Partner (Idzek, goblin, also my roommate), and we were just chatting on our way home, and she brought up Magic Tumblr (you know, this thing we're on). Anyways, we got to talking, and somehow she found out I was sending anonymous flirty asks to that cute Orzhov priestess. She then BIT ME for not telling her!

I have no idea why she's so upset, I mean, we're not like dating or anything, it's just like a friends/roommates with benefits situation. I don't ask her to tell me everyone she flirts with or whatever. So like. I definitely don't think I deserved that bite. But I'll let you guys decide how you feel about it.

Will still be taking everyone's advice and biting her back though, thank you!

Sorry I didn't follow up on this for a while, I've been suuuuper busy with work [My teacher told me i needed to clean and do maintenance and tighten the screws on all of the old lightning rods after that spring I knocked out broke... because I put it in wrong...] :<

But I finally got it all done!!! And! I had a day off on the same day as a performance, and I went up after the show and talked to her and told her about how I think the Rakdos explosion magic is actually really fascinating. So many Izzet mages kind of write it off as less technically sound, but for raw power, you really can't beat their techniques!! She said she'd totally be down to compare our notes, we're going to meet for it and to get drinks in a few daysssss :DDDDD
