I just wanted to remind you that even the “I surrender” prayers you say under your breath reluctantly when you don’t even want to surrender are heard and valid.
god hears them just as well as if you were excitingly cheering them.
he knows our emotions are always going to battle with surrender.
half our life is filled with these prayers, he’s familiar with this.
he’s a god of love and light, he’s a god of peace.
he’s a god you can go to with hurt and ask him to pluck it out of your chest like weeds, and he’ll do it with heavenly, sweet breaths. he knows what he’s doing, he’s not hurt or confused by your fear.
choose to believe anyways, choose to surrender anyways.
give him the chance to show off how much he loves you. he can heal every last beautiful piece of you.
Distance yourself from a kind of person who makes you feel a little less worthy than what you really are every time he refuses to choose you, or worse, to not even have you in his options at all. Don’t let him fool you with his bullshit excuses of being busy or not having time to respond to your texts or do the things he used to do with you because people never really run out of time, it’s only a matter of deciding how and with whom we would want it to be spent with. I’m not talking about a whole day, it could be a small talk about little things during a 15-minute coffee break or a simple Saturday night date. The point is, if he takes you seriously, he will make a quality time for you, not just a spare time he has after doing all other things with all other people he picked over you.
Let me remind you, you certainly deserve better. You deserve more than just being a fallback for cancelled plans or a companion when no one else is available. You deserve to be someone to talk to at the most inconvenient times. You deserve to be asked first. You deserve to be put first. And once in a while, you deserve to be an unquestionable first.
Jobs fill your pocket. Adventures fill your soul.

Write about the lessons you’ve learned this year: 1. There are hard days. Sometimes you hate to get up in the morning, or cry yourself to sleep at night. But those days will pass. 2. Sometimes, you just have to accept you’re not feeling well. Cancel your plans, make some food and stay in bed. Sometimes, that’s exactly what you need. 3. However, don’t let your feelings take over. It’s okay to do nothing for a day, or two. But don’t make it a week. 4. I know I did let my feelings take over way too much. I stayed in bed, did nothing all day. Until the point that I had to get out. 5. Getting out of bed can feel good. Make your bed, eat some breakfast. Just do something. And be proud of yourself for what you’ve accomplished - even if it’s just eating breakfast. 6. Don’t be angry at yourself, that never works out. 7. Just take care. Of yourself, your mind, your body, everything. And accept the fact that sometimes things just don’t work out the way you want to. 8. Don’t shut people out. They are there to help. 9. You are the one that has to pick up the pieces after a breakdown. But you’re not alone, even if it feels like you are. 10. Sometimes I think I’ve control over my feelings, but I don’t. They come and go. I just have to accept that. Sometimes the feelings are just too much, and I have to take a step back. Start again. There’s always a second chance.

If it’s real, it’ll hurt like hell.

1) Switch off your phone. Log out of your social media. 2) Open your window, or the blinds. Let fresh air and sunlight into your room. 3) Eat something you like. It can be something you don’t treat yourself to often, or something healthy. Savour every bite. 4) Take a bath. Change into clean, comfortable clothes. 5) There’s always that one song, or album, or band. Listen to it. Close your eyes. Feel the music. 6) Read your favorite book, or a book you’ve been meaning to read. Take out some time, find a quiet corner, and read. 7) Take a walk. Focus on the steps you take, and your surroundings. 8) Go to the beach, or a park. Sit and relax. Look around you. Try to keep your mind blank. Just breathe. 9) Write. Write what you feel, or what you’re thinking of. Write down a good memory, or something that you haven’t told anyone. 10) Make a list of what makes you happy. Things you’d like to do in the future. Things you’ve done in the past and enjoyed. It can be anything that makes you happy.

The most beautiful feeling in the world is to have someone who has seen your worst side and stayed.

You didn’t break me. I broke me. Because I believed in something that wasn’t real.

Months after we broke up I realized something: Everyone is replaceable.
