Jazzy rolled her eyes at Kristen’s comment about not doing something if she wasn’t the main character, mostly because Jazzy would have killed for any part in a movie. “Hmm.” She said simply with a smile on her lips that was not a genuine one.  “I’m sure it is. Hey, maybe one day the government will let you go to one.” She said with a shrug. It was a possibility, Kristen lived in Park after all which was the reason why she could still be a movie star while Jazzy was stuck in Point. 

Kristen noticed the disingenuous smile and she couldn’t help but smirk. Kristen knew that she was one of the lucky ones and since she had experience before she came to Lake Grimstone as a Movie Star, it was much easier for her to establish herself even after moving there. “Maybe.” She let out a sigh. “But until then, I’ll take what I can get.” Kristen said as she watched the other closely. “If you could go somewhere outside of here, where would you go?”

Miles let out a chuckle and shook his head at her words. “I’m not a lightweight, but it’s nice to know you won’t just throw me out in the street and leave me there.” He said, her smile was contagious and he couldn’t help but smile back at her. Miles looked around when she mentioned she had to be here helping costumers. “And here you were reading until I came in and messed it all up. Can I make it up to you?”

“I didn’t necessarily say you were a lightweight. But I did give you the strongest alcohol we have so...” She pressed her lips together into a thin line, tilting her head to the side and letting her brown hair cascade over her shoulder. “You might be feeling it hit you a little sooner than normal.” She smiled. “I mean... customers come first while I’m working, always.” Kristen said, not making a big deal about it. But if he really wanted to make it up to her, who was she to turn down that offer? “You could.” She bit down on her bottom lip and then leaned on the counter with her elbows, planting her face in her hands as she eyed him closely. “But that depends on what you’d be willing to do for me. Or... with me.” She had a couple of ideas but she wasn’t just going to reveal them. Not yet, anyway.

Miles looked up at Kristen when she asked if he was okay. If he was being honest he would say no, but because he couldn’t open up with her or anyone else for that matter. “I’m  good, maybe a little tired.” He shrugged. There was some truth to his words, he was tired, he hadn’t really slept much lately. “Don’t worry, I’ll be careful.” He said giving her a smile. “So… what do you have there?” He asked before taking a sip of his drink and looking down at the script in her hand.

She nodded slowly at his reply and then smiled. “Don’t worry. If you end up getting drunk, I’ll just carry you home.” She winked at him, her smile widening just at the thought of doing that. It was one of the things that her power allowed her to do; imitate a strong animal and pick up things, or people, that were much much heavier than her. “Oh this?” She asked as she held it up as if she was surprised by the question. She wasn’t. “A script. A movie script.” Kristen explained. “I got it in the mail today and unfortunately I couldn’t sit at home and read it so...” She shrugged. “Here I am, reading it in between helping customers.”

Rebecca had just finished up her day at work and to say that it was a long day was an understatement. Needless to say, she was happy when it was time to close and lock up for the night, Rebecca loved her job of course, but like any job, some days were more difficult than others. She immediately made her way to Prohibition, in need of a drink and wondering what time Kristen got off at.

She made her way inside, spotted Kristen behind the bar and made her way over, plopping her bag on one stool and herself on another, “ Well, hello to you too.” Rebecca replied, rolling her eyes slightly though really she didn’t mind, Kristen was just being Kristen. “ Could you make me a Daiquiri?” Rebecca asked, leaning against the bar slightly, “ What are you reading?”

“What kind?” Kristen asked as she put her script underneath the counter. “Strawberry, mango, blueberry, coconut, pineapple, a mix of everything?” She asked as she leaned agains the counter, towards her friend. “I just got a new script for a movie.” Kristen said with a smile. “I know I have plenty of time but... I can’t help but want to read it as fast as possible so that I can focus on my lines afterwards.”

Jaz wanted to hide the fact that she was jealous, but it was impossible to do that when the envy was eating her alive. Normally, Jazzy wasn’t an envious person, but Kristen had a taste of what Jaz had always wanted, and not just that, but she was still able to do all that even though she was in Lake Grimstone, it wasn’t fair to her. The replicator took a sip of her drink and nodded at the bartender. “Main character?” She asked with envy dripping off every word. “Will you have enough time to film the movie?”

“Yes, of course.” Nothing but the best for me. Kristen thought to herself with a smile. “I wouldn’t bother myself with the script if I wasn’t one of the main characters. My agent knows that.” She explained as she flipped to the next page of the script. “I seem to manage most of the time. It’s hard work, don’t get me wrong, but extremely worth it in the end.” Kristen said with a smile. “I don’t always get to attend the red carpet events but...” She shrugged. “Small price to pay, I suppose.”

All that Miles wanted to do was drink, he didn’t want to see anyone and he definitely did not want to talk to anyone. Unfortunately for him he had walked in to the bar that Kristen worked in. He liked the girl, but he just wasn’t in the mood. The male was about to walk out of the bar, but at the last second decided that he really did need that drink. “Strongest shit you have.” He replied.

His reply made her pause with her reading and look up at him. Kristen put the script under the counter. “You okay?” She asked, knowing full well that it wasn’t her business. However, as a bartender, she also knew that people tended to talk to her about their days more often than not. She pulled out Bacardi 151 and poured it into a glass for him. She had a feeling that he didn’t want just a shot. “Strongest shit we have. Be careful with it, though.” She instructed as she pushed the half filled glass towards him.

After the double shift that Max had just pulled he really needed two things, bed and a drink. He figured that he would get a drink first, head to bed after that and then tomorrow he would spend the day with his fiance. The healer made his way in to Prohibition, which seemed to not be too packed, that was definitely not something you saw everyday. “Just a beer will do, I don’t want to interrupt your reading time.” He wasn’t trying to be sarcastic, he really didn’t want to take up to much of her time, it seemed like she was really enjoying what she was reading. 

Kristen set the script down and offered the other a smile. “Sorry about that.” She apologized. “I get a little too excited when I am sent something new so... I tend to read it when I can.” She shrugged her shoulders as she moved to grab a glass and then poured some beer into it before setting it in front of Max. “Long day?”

It was the weekend and that meant that Jazzy wanted to unwind and have some fun. The replicator had gone to Grimstone Park to visit some friends, they had decided to meet up at Prohibition and when she walked in she realized that she was way too early. “Shit” she said under hear breath making her way to the bar only to once again be disappointed by who was behind the counter, Kristen Parrish. 

The bartender was somewhat pleasant to Jazz, but she knew that was just her being somewhat professional and not because she was happy to see her there. “Rum and coke, for now” the replicator said to the woman and it was then that her gaze moved down to the script in Kristen’s hand. “Doing some light reading?” She asked trying to mask the jealousy in her voice. 

“Rum and coke it is.” Kristen smiled at Jazmine and finally put the script down on the counter to make the drink. It was an easy drink and it didn’t take long to create it for the woman. After about a minute, Kristen set the drink on the counter with a napkin underneath it. She slid it towards the woman. “There you go.” Kristen’s smile remained and then she tugged the script back towards herself. “It’s not necessarily light.” She chuckled. “It’s my new movie script and since I’m the main characters, I have a lot of lines to learn before I head back out this month.”

Kristen finally had her new script. She couldn’t help but want to read over it over and over again until she could get herself into character. However, that didn’t mean she could skip out on work at Prohibition. 

The movie star leaned against the counter and began to flip through the pages when she heard someone come to the bar and sit in front of her. A small, annoyed sigh escaped her lips as her eyes flickered up to acknowledge them and then back down to her script. “What would you like to drink?” She asked, barely paying attention to the person. She knew that she had to put the script down soon to make their drink, but she just couldn’t stop herself from reading.

“Well, we’re all full of surprises, aren’t we?” Brianna chuckled, quirking one eyebrow upwards at Kristen. She took another long drink of her beer, noting that it was starting to get low. Bri didn’t respond, knowing she’d never dump her work off onto Mason, though she did feel as if she were whenever he offered to help and he took it. “What’s the longest you’ve ever sat in hair and makeup?” She asked, genuinely curious. "Are you able to go to your premiers?”

“I suppose so.” Kristen said as she tipped her drink towards her lips and took a sip. “Longest?” She asked, furrowing her eyebrows slightly. “Six hours.” She answered, pressing her lips together into a thin line and then she let out a sigh. “Not most of the time. I don’t exactly have enough hours to do that. I usually try to pick and choose when I can.” She then tilted her head to the side. “Maybe one day, the government will allow a little more leniency?” She eyed the resident contact, trying to see what her facial expression was when she commented on it.

“I do, sometimes.” Harley shrugged, though he preferred to train with those he trusted to stop when he’d had enough and not just carry on because they knew he could heal from anything. “I mean, it would. I’d just heal from it.” The immortal pointed out, biting down on his lower lip as he let out a sigh, putting his number into her phone. He didn’t like to get annoyed at people for it, because it was his own mentality too, but just because he could heal from anything didn’t mean things didn’t still hurt, and that it didn’t have affects. 

At Kristen’s words, and her smirk, Harley couldn’t help the blush that came to his cheeks, chuckling softly. “I mean, it’s usually just to impress a guy, but thanks.” Liar, it was for the attention too, but he wouldn’t admit that one so easily. “That sounds fair enough.” 

“Maybe different types of injuries heal slower?” She suggested to him and then shrugged her shoulders. She knew he was immortal, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t have fun with his power. Besides, she’s always wanted to test several animal imitations on people but others were too scared of being harmed. At least with Harley, he didn’t have that worry.

“Ohhh, a guy?” She wagged her eyebrows at him as she took her phone back. “I’m sure it impresses more than one guy.” She said to him with a smile. They all had their ways of getting people to notice them. Kristen’s was her acting career and it seemed as though Harley’s was his dancing. She didn’t judge him for that. “Have you ever had lessons or is the dancing you do fully self taught?”
