Apple Baubles
First day/night in Iloilo with master, we spent time at where else? SM! Just to be practically play safe 'coz we just arrived, we're a total stranger and the language barrier, even though I knew and understand a few, am still frustated. Going back to SM, after we had our dinner, we wander around while we wait for the start of the movie, and bump into this stall that this displays eye-catching, head-turning, cute little err... thing.haha It's a actually an accesories store that caters to clay based stuffs. From key chain, to earrings, cellphone accesory, and the one that I bought for master, a pendant (which actually surprised her! *blush*) really is a great gift!ü There are many of these already out in the market, (well, perhaps the online market. 'coz most them just join the bazaars and the like) But Apple Baubles breaks the barrier! Which people may find something unique and creative! Smile!ü
Honeybunches
January 26, 2010 Year after. Finally. All never thought this would happen anytime soon, except for me, who is all hope. Though this wasn't really the plan, a lot of unexpected mishaps, unlikely duty, seminar, etc. That almost hinders this certain moment. Nevertheless, still pursued. It started when master finally got a leave from work ('coz we'll be going to Iloilo for the NDAP Convention), then me accompanying her to get our Yearbook & PRC Board Certificate. Called out Lorraine to let her sleepover at their place, then Ichi jumps right in as well. Then I offered my place, but as to what I mentioned above, sigh... Still determined, I do manage to have Ichi and Lorraine. Toured our Alma Mater. Had picture ops, ate sorbetes & mojos. Then later surprised them all with Whitney as we fetched her after work. We had dinner over at TOSH in Robinson's. Time wouldn't permit? I don't think so. Here's the proof. Though it ain't enough, just being with them, complete, cements a smile on my face, truly cherished, despite the unexpected. One thing for sure, I sure Miss them. Smile!ü
Good Burger
Need not to say it 'coz the restaurant name already implies what they ought to offer! Nonetheless, it ain't just about the taste. Much that you should know, they really are good 'coz you could choose with either a veggie or a chicken patty. Now how good is that?! Plus, you got a variety to choose from (my recommendation, and my personal favorite, The Triple Cheese, a combination of mozarella cheese, cream cheese, and cheese sauce). And the price? Can you imagine a double patty, considering that it's a "healthy" burger, would only cost you to as much as Php 120.00?! How great is that? Now that's a real good score for a real good burger! Lastly, Enjoy!ü
Johnny Rockets: The Original Hamburger
Just got our car brakes fixed and decided to meet up with Ichi (actually, biglaan, to check up on her and give her my gift. aiyee...) Anyways, her work doesn't end 'til 7 (though she do always go over it, OT i mean) So I find myself loitering around Eastwood, window shopping and all that. And of course, try out the newly opened Johnny Rockets! Heard and saw it few months ago when we first checked out the Eastwood Mall after we had mass at Antipolo. Going back, this place is cool! I mean, it's diner for crying out loud. 50's baby! ambience, the music, retro I'm telling you! The moment I sat, the server entertained me in an instant, I mean in a manner of getting order, you know. Now that's service! Though they really do entertain. All the servers do dance to the beat of retro music, take note, coming from a juke box! Now that's a concept! So what else would I order but the Original Burger itself (comes with a salad or Fries, man talk about GENUINE fries! Php 289.00 exclusive of tax). Though I do browse their menu and jaw droppingly, your wallet might leak. Seriously, prices is off the roof. Though I can comprehend. The fact that, yeah right! After getting my order, they got me a glass of water, instantly! Then, a couple of minutes later, the food was ready. (Got carried away with the groovy tunes and the servers shaking their booty off, actually, you can join too, perfect for laugh trips scandal video for family and friends, and perhaps, Youtube) Wow! What a burger! Tender, Juicy, Flavorful, need not ask more?! As I've mentioned above, REAL Fries, never had one not since Bigg's, though this one had a enormous cut. So if you have a monstrous appetite, like moi, ehem...Guaranteed you'll rocket your way to Johnny's Enjoy!
Mister Kabab
I heard, rather saw its fan page over at facebook (where a couple of my are fan), and started to get curious (as i always been when it comes to great food find). It offers Persian as to what the resto name Kabab implies. It wasn't long before I got back to our house over at back in Manila (I've been staying a lot at Parañaque), been busy with our shop, and when we ought to close, I saw some of neighborhood friends hanging out and having a drinking welcome party. We lasted until past 2 in the morning and my new known friend invited to have a meal to Mister Kabab. Must've been my lucky break! Since I seldom be around at our neighborhood the past couple of months. Man this place is busy as it gets. People just come and go. It's like, I mean it is the after party spot to be. I mean after getting drank and all that, who wouldn't want to make all the alcohol in your body to settle in a sumptuous meal. All ordered the Chicken Special (actually, I just go with the flow with what they've ordered. Because they're the timers.hehe Even though the server handed the menu) What arrived after a couple of minutes was a couple of ground chicken sort of strips, a couple of tomatoes and a cup of rice, all on one plate. Just mimic what my companies done, I too just pour down the red sauce, assuming it is the hot sauce, and then what I think is the secret to the best tasting Mister Kabab meal offered, a white garlic-mayo-spices sauce. What a great meal. It's worth it. Speechless. Need not say more. Just try and visit this place. Bring your friends or family. You sure to enjoy dining in.
